I wished I had found Nortown Auto sooner. Jimmy is a great guy, trustworthy, and he cultivates an honest and diligent culture throughout his shop. His crew is just as solid as he is. I stopped in early on a weekday (with no appointment) for an oil change, tire rotation, and alignment and I got my truck back the same day. No upsell, no pressure, and clear communication. Makes me happy to do business with good people like these guys. Thanks again, Jimmy.

May 2024 update All day I was driving around town, thinking that there must be a lot of fires in Chicago that day because the air smelled really bad. Finally, I realized that the smell was coming from my own car! No wonder why the smell was everywhere I went. So I called Jimmy at Nortown and he let me bring my car in immediately, even though it was late in the day. His team fixed my car the very next day (the brake calipers had locked up on one tire, hence the bad smell). Thank you to Jimmy and Nortown!! You're the reason I can keep my 20-year-old car going. I appreciate you. ============ I have a very old car and, when my engine light went on, a friend suggested taking my car to Nortown. I'm so glad that I did because there were some major safety issues that they corrected. It's running very smoothly now.

This place is perfect!! Always has been a highlight of the city of Chicago!! Thank you so much for your staff and help making sure my van was safe so I could get to my very first Cubs game on Wednesday!! Another reason why Nortown Auto is the best ever!! This is literally the only place I trust, both inside and outside of a dealer or manufacturer's representing entity. Everything that I have had done here has been 100% effective and lasting. No waste. It has taken years but my trust now runs deep with Nortown.

I searched for a reputable and SKILLED shop to work on my bucket-list truck, to replace the Engine Mounts, Transmission Mount and replace my Air Conditioning Condensor... They took their time, which I appreciate, as I don't want a RUSHED job, I want a GOOD job. Their shop rate is MORE than fair for the quality of work they do, and I will not hesitate to go back there in January to have them do some preventive maintenance work I want to have done. Thank you , Jimmy and Crew for the EXCELLENT WORK and for going above and beyong on this last job.

As a parent whose kids live in the city and have cars, I can't tell you how comforting it is to know there's a shop like Nortown. They are professional, courteous and most of all straight shooters - fair. Jimmy will give you time and make sure you understand the problem and the options. I have used Nortown a few times now. But this latest time was a huge disappointment. They charged me nearly $250 to change/balance a tire and hit the wheel with a hammer a few times. That did NOT include the tire itself. All in a tire change cost me nearly $500! At minimum they should have given me an estimate of what it would cost before going through with it. I will not go back.

I originally brought my Audi 8 to Nortown because a colleague had recommended them. I found Nortown then to be abundantly experienced and professional. Today, my Audi 8 is now nearly 25 years old and I wouldn't trust her to anyone else.

I'm very impressed with Nortown Auto. The shop is so clean, it looks more like a showroom than a garage. When I picked up my car, they took the time put it on a lift and walk me through everything they did under the car. They also talked to me about some potential issues that may occur in the future, and showed me how and why those repairs would be difficult/expensive. They were passionate and excited to talk about every car in the shop. Seemed like they treated every car they work on like it's one of their own. I highly recommend Nortown Auto, and plan on taking my car back to them in the future.
