I have been going to this location for years, and it used to be top-notch. Within the last 6 months, it has gone completely downhill. The last four appointments in a row I have had all were made for the first appointment on a Saturday morning yet every single time, despite my appointments, I was told it was going to be a minimum 6-hour wait for a simple oil change. The last time I came in was to replace a battery that was under warranty and had died prematurely. I was told in order to replace the battery, which I would have done myself in less than 3 minutes, was going to also be a 4-Hour wait. The guy behind the counter told me if I gave him a cash tip, he would swap it out instantly. That is tantamount to extortion. A free battery replacement that is under warranty that I was forced to pay a cash tip for so I didn't have to wait for 4 hours? A 6-hour wait for an oil change when I had an appointment because they prioritized walk-ins ahead of me as well as the fact that they seemed only have one person on staff who can work on a car? What in the world happened to this place is it because of the new Mavis ownership? Or is it just this particular location has gone to complete hell? Either way, you have lost a customer that you have had for years. You do not honor your appointment times. You cannot seem to get your stuff together and hire employees that can either show up or show up on time. You can't seem to hire enough employees.. the employees you do hire extort your customers for cash or force them to wait a half a day for a free battery replacement that I could do for free in 3 minutes in the parking lot. And all of this while not seeming to care one bit about customer service. Ridiculous. Do not go here ever. Unless management and the entire staff changes, I will never go back here again either.

Chris said he had only been there a few weeks but his service was top notch. Every time I've been to NTB I've experienced great service and communication. Probably would have found this place years ago if I knew it was more than tires and batteries.

I had a great experience at NTB Tire Shop! We took our Rav 4 in with a flat tire, and they got me back on the road in no time. Thomas was especially helpful—he was friendly, professional, and made sure everything was handled smoothly. The whole team was fantastic, and their customer service was top-notch. I’ll definitely be coming back for any future tire needs. Highly recommend this place!

I’ve been bringing my truck to Jason and the team here for a few years. They always do a great job and get it back to me in top working order. They’ve always been helpful in diagnosing issues and giving affordable options. Can’t recommend them enough!

Went in a few days ago and was greeted by the a handsome and kind gentleman named Chris. He gave me an estimate and also got my vehicle serviced the same day. Great service at an affordable price. I will definitely be coming back to have my vehicle serviced in the future. Thanks Chris @ NTB. 🙏🏼

I live out of town, but I’ve had car trouble in Austin 3 to 4 times over the last couple years. The NTB location has excellent service and workmanship. I’ve never had to worry about them working on my car. Wish I could bring my car here all the time!!!!!

Was greeted with friendly service and received a complete and efficient diagnosis and fix of my car's issues. I always enjoy my experience at NTB on 290. The staff are so friendly and keep me updated on the status of their work. I’m usually intimidated going to any place to get my car worked on, but these people speak my language and take care of me.

I just went to buy some tires and these guys started making fun of me and my car. My car had more problems, I know, but it's not their problem. Their job was just to install the new tires.

Came in with no appointment for a new tire emergency on a Sunday. The man working the counter was solo and very busy, but still incredibly nice, and upfront about it being a 2-3 hour wait. I was just thrilled they managed to squeeze me in and get it done before closing! They have chairs and tables in the lobby, but the waiting room off to the side was especially nice since I had a small child with me, so we could be a bit rowdy by ourselves back there. Bathrooms were clean as well.

I had a guy change my front left strut. After that, my brakes were making a horribly loud and embarrassing metal sound when turning and braking. I am broke, so I decided to do what I know, which is machine the rotor and change the pads. No luck. I scheduled the free brake check and they had it fixed within 15 minutes, and they didn't charge me anything. I couldn't be happier. They really made my month. I will make sure to go back when I need my alignment done after changing the other strut. Thanks!

My Kia EV battery decided to die today without warning. I walked in and they pulled the car right in and fixed it up in less than 30 minutes! Love this place

I had a good experience here when I needed to have my tires rotated. You can make an appointment on their website. They took my car in right away, and the work was completed very fast. and at no cost. They gave me an update on the status of my tires, as well.

I needed four new tires and an alignment. I shopped around all the usual places and settled on NTB because their alignment service was $20 less than everyone else. What I didn't expect was how helpful and friendly the service was. I was helped by Ben and he really worked with me to get exactly what I needed at a great price. The lobby was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and before I knew it, my car was ready and I was on my way. I highly recommend this location! Go see Ben and everyone for a good deal and quality service on your car related needs.

I was coming through from La Grange loaded with cows when I noticed a bubble on one of my tires in my cattle trailer, so stopped buy to purchase one. They didn’t have one in stock, but Thomas changed my spare in less than 10 minutes I was out of there and back on the road. Great service.

Thanks goes especially to Tom at the front desk! My car indicated a low tire pressure warning on my run-flat tire. Once we confirmed the problem, I called NTB very late Friday evening to see what my next steps were. Tom walked me thru the order process for my specific tires and placed an order at the end of his business day Friday. Saturday morning, he called me to say the tires were already in! By 2 pm Saturday, they were installed and I was back on my way! Thanks for making a stressful situation a little less painful. It was very refreshing to receive such great customer service! Keep up the good work!
