I had a very positive experience with Oak Knoll Automotive. The staff was polite, professional and explained everything in detail. I took my car in for new brake pads and an oil change and they checked the entire car over and did everything quickly and efficiently. I would recommend this auto repair shop for anyone needing auto maintenance services!

Worked there for a little while and found that business was slow. Owner couldn't even pay me enough to make my Bill's and I am a certified hard willed working technician. So unfortunately had to leave. Owner decided to take my last check from me and it really messed my situation up. Just thought I would let people know the type they are dealing with here. Did my very best to take care these people while I was there and this is how I was treated.

Been going here for years since it was Ben White Automotive. Eric is carrying on the tradition of being fair and only doing the work necessary. I went there after another shop had a huge quote and Eric and his team worked on just what needed to be repaired. Later there was an issue with a part and they took care of it and went above and beyond. It feels like the same place it always has and will continue to take my cars there.

Updating as ownership has changed. Good experience, fixed exactly what I needed, 4x4 and blend door, at agreed upon price, and fast, and good communication. I would still recommend them. Honest mechanics at a decent price are hard to find. Called me up and found the problem instantly including my misdiagnosis, and charged me out for the correct diagnosis which was the cheaper option. That is a rare transaction indeed. Went on a friends recommendation, and now I'm passing it along. First time using them, but I would go back in an instant. Don't trust JiffyLube. It's a long story but Oak Knoll set me straight, with honest estimates on time and money.

Efficient, up front, and honest! I brought my 17 year old economy car here to get a full diagnostic on why my check engine light was on* and if it was an easy fix. They gave me a full run down of everything that was wrong and how much it would cost to fix. (Multiple serious issues, a $1600 repair estimate on a car I've had for 10 years.) I asked them if they thought it was *worth* fixing, and they said "We're here to make money, but the repairs aren't going to extend this car's life much." It is SO refreshing to not have a mechanic take advantage of me; see my previous reviews for one of my past experiences. Highly recommend! *Also noticed a burning smell after driving long distances, she was hard to control over 65mph, and there was a horrific screeching noise when turning.

I started going to Oak Knoll automotive several years ago simply because they are walking distance from my office. I can drop my car off in the morning and pick it up on my way home, easy peasy. What keeps me coming back is that Bobby (the manager) is an honest guy that really cares about doing the right thing. More than once he has talked himself out of work that he felt was unnecessary or better done elsewhere. To me, trustworthiness is the single most important aspect in a shop. They stand by their work and their word. One thing to mention, they don’t have a tire machine, so I have to go elsewhere for those.

I had a very difficult repair - Water pump, buried in the engine- and they did the repair at quoted cost and everything feels and drives great! It took a little longer than expected, but I understood how involved the repair was. I'll be coming back for sure.

Came here for a 90k maintenance on my car. Mr. Rick is the guy that I talked with. He was very nice and helpful. They are affordable and I’m happy with the results. I’ve already recommended them to a few other friends.

I brought my car in early yesterday morning for abs service and admittedly was nervous about finding a new mechanic in the North Austin area since past experiences were not all that great but Rick and his team at Oak Knoll were so helpful and efficient with my vehicle and my time. Had the issue diagnosed in under and hour and they worked diligently to get me my car back nefore the end of day. I feel the price was extremely fair and reasonable and the whole experience was educational and very comfortable. He explained in detail what was going wrong and even showed me the parts they had to remove and now my car rides smoother than it did when I drove it off the lot!

I've now gone to this place 3 times in the past 4 months for 3 different issues and this shop was able to fix them all with ease. Ricky and Bobby are awesome and very helpful. They always tell me what to expect before any action and I'm very happy this shop is close to my work. Highly recommend this place.

My husband had his car serviced here awhile back. I want to write this review to warn anyone thinking of getting their car worked on here. We originally chose this shop because most of the reviews were 5 stars. Unfortunately, they were *dishonest* with us and actually caused damage to our car that we had to get fixed at another shop. After having our car for a few days, the workers at Oak Knoll told us they did all that they repaired the light that was coming on but that my husband's engine was on its way out. They said they didn't want their guys to touch it for fear that they might completely ruin the engine. It wasn't drivable at this time and they said our car was basically dead. We asked a lot of questions to understand why. We were puzzled that a mechanic would say he didn't want to work on our car anymore. We took it to Mobile Auto Clinic *HIGHLY RECCOMEND* around the corner for a second opinion and turns out our car was fine. Oak Knoll employees had actually CUT the wiring to the dash warning light that we needed fixed so that the light wouldn't turn on and show an alert. They did nothing further and then charged us for the "repaired " light issue. Mobile Auto Clinic repaired the damage Oak Knoll did and replaced all our engine oil and our car was back to running again and has been running ever since. Do yourself and your pocket book a favor by NOT going here and taking your car just a few blocks away to Mobile Auto Clinic.l Update to respond to the ships comment: My husband has a different last name and we serviced the car under his name. This is why you cannot find the history.

My neice who is 20 yrs old and knows nothing about vehicles came to you for assistance because her car wasn't turning over sometimes. Your technician evaluated it and determined she needed a new battery. You charged her $191.85 for a new battery and labor (which wouldn't of taken more than 5 minutes to install a battery) I feel.like that was high and the technician may have taken advantage of her.

Worst experience I've ever had..blew freeze plug during the winter storm ok..we have to pull transmission to get to freeze plug and its $850..later they said $650 and we just unbolted one side of transmission a d replace freeze plug.. ok..now they said truck runs rough and vibrating..it didn't do that when I started truck and backed it in for towing service to pick up and take to oak knoll..they claimed it was an engine problem...bs..another mechanic said when they tweaked the transmission they broke the other side mount..my truck is a limited edition and finding another mount has been a nightmare..after market dosen't fit bolt pattern..and I only had 1 bolt holding driveshaft in place...they've cost me more out of pocket money replacing mount and driveshaft yoke than what I paid them do do the job correctly in first place...I will never do business with them again..beware!!!..they're reply is not in system...bull!!! I've spent over 2grand there..they dont want to fess up and would rather cover it up....they wrong!!!

The Mechanices here are great very very skilled and honest mechanics! As for the owner while i can appreciate his very attentive nature. It was his initial diagnosis I did not appreciate, all of the up selling he tried, what I got done for 80$ somewhere else. He told me I would need over 300 dollars in work. For this reason I triple check with others shops. Service and car work all fantastic as for the up selling that's a big no for me in the Auto industry.
