This was a poor experience from start to finish. When I called to schedule an appointment I wasn't told that Oakes Kia Collision Center isn't located on the same property as the dealership, so I wasted my time driving all the way to Northtowne and was told "Oh you're at the wrong place, this happens all the time". They told me what to type in my Google Maps and it took me to the dealership downtown. I went inside the service center and was told again, "Oh you're not at the right place, they're down the street". If this is such a common occurrence, why aren't employees telling customers exactly where to go?? It was extremely frustrating to go to 2 wrong locations. I finally get there and they look at my damage (front left fender) and give me an estimate of $9700 which will "likely go up to $10,000". I thought to myself, there's no way that this damage is worth almost 1/3 of the price of my car. I contacted my insurance company and they told me to go to Gerber Collision and I was able to get an estimate from them of $2300. They said my car is new enough that they won't be using any after market parts or third party parts. Make that make sense? I feel like Kia's Collision Center was trying to rip me off. I will never recommend this place to anyone and plan to tell everyone I know of the huge price difference.

Customer service tip: If you are 3 weeks behind, call your customers. Communicate. Allow them the courtesy of not having their vehicle sit untouched for weeks in the shop while they scramble for transportation and are forced to stalk you for any kind of update. If you say you are going to call an unhappy customer to discuss their frustrations, you should definitely do it Don't just hope they go away. Apologize. Offer a concession. And, definitely don't speak over them and refuse to let them talk, Brandon. Chris, still waiting on that phone call. We've all been understaffed. That is the reason for communication - not the excuse. Fix it.

I had the best experience getting my vehicle fixed. The entire staff is very professional and friendly. They will answer any questions and go above and beyond taking care of you and your vehicle. Melissa is in the office and Brandon in the shop. Thank you!

Brandon, and his team go out of their way to make sure the customer is satisfied with the work performed. They go above and beyond the call of duty and Oakes is lucky to have this team. I’ve experienced stellar communication from Rachel, Mellissa and Michael. Lee put the final touches on my car. He did his part with a big smile on his face, which made me feel like I was in the right place. Thank you Oakes Collision Center! You made a typically terrible situation of a car break in into a lifelong relationship. I can’t say enough good things about these folks!

I was leery of the handful of bad reviews. However the good ones outweighed the bad and I said let’s see. My car was vandalized really bad (not running any more bad) but now you’d never could tell. My Lexus looks brand new and I haven’t experienced/noticed any problems since the repairs. If I ever have a issue again I’m going to ask whatever insurance company I’m with is Main Street Auto okay for drop off ?!?

This facility provided the best experience I have ever had with a body shop. They treated me and my vehicle with the upmost care and professionalism. Rachel was very helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Rachel went above and beyond to explain the work done to the vehicle in an efficient and pleasant way. Now I have a mechanic I can trust. I will be back with any & all future car troubles. Thanks for your great work!

My insurance company, Progressive referred me to use them. They have had my car for 45 days and I have not received one phone call or update on my vehicle. I have received better customer service at McDonalds!! Do not use them whether paying out of pocket or with insurance-they do not value you as a customer!

Wouldn’t recommend. Communication was lacking. They didn’t even clean out the glass from the broken window inside my car or put it through the wash to get all the dirt/dust off.

I am glad to have gone here when I needed to get a new mirror after being side-swiped on the highway. They were fast, efficient, and right in line with estimated cost. I appreciate they went the extra steps to make sure the paint matched exactly, so it truly looks as good as new. The only downside is it took me a couple calls to get ahold of someone initially, but it seems like you would be fine to walk in if needed. Thank you for your great service!

I purchased my car here, & i take it no other Place for services, detailing etc.. Prices are reasonable, & detailing is fenominal"! They also service, & detail vehicles that weren't purchased there also. Its worth what you pay. Why pay, & be unsatisfied...? When you pay your looking to be fully satisfied, & feel like your money was well spent. This is your go to guys.

John went the extra mile when my Insurance company was not wanting to pay for actual GM parts but rather, cheaper, aftermarket replacements . My best interest was his priority and I appreciated that
