I came in relatively last minute, needing an inspection on my old beater before a long road trip. They showed me the most urgent problems they could find, let me personally take a look, and explained everything. Nothing but respect for this shop and owner.

Absoltuly redicoulsy! Ive been in a lot of shops in chicago and never have seen something more filthy in my pathetic life. I saw a rat scurry across the shop and the workers didnt do anything. Not to mention it smelled so vile and it was so dirty I had to hop over literal garbage. Why are there so many brocen chairs everywhere with no covers. Is this a junk yard or a body shop?

Absolutely horrible customer service. Sinked over 3 grand into an older vehicle. Didn’t have as much problem before I came to this place. They charged me 67$ just to say there’s a leakage. Do not recommend.

My Mother is a retired senior citizen with very minimal knowledge of cars and limited funds. She travels often to visit her family, making 5 hour long trips one-way every month. The wear and tear gets put on her car but she gets by with her little Nissan Sentra. When it started making weird noises while she was visiting me from out of town, we went to Ogden Auto Center and Paul treated us like FAMILY. We were in such good hands, and for such an affordable price and quick service, it was an absolute answer to prayer finding this place. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone and everyone; women who know nothing about cars, men who know nothing about cars, people who do know a thing or two, people who don't know what they're doing and people who do! This place is golden. It is classic, completely capable and trusted. They explain everything so thoroughly and take pictures! They absolutely go the extra mile. This is world class service. I hope you get to experience it!

Been bringing my Land Rover LR3 to this shop for about 9 months. Andy, Paul and Angel are very friendly, knowledgeable, patient and thorough on a vehicle that other shops don't always like to work on. Most recently Paul helped me solve a years long emissions issue and I really appreciate these guys! Thanks again!

So I dropped my car off with them yesterday and they said they would call me back to let me know the diagnosis and a price estimate. So why did I have to call back today to have Paul tell me he don’t know what’s wrong with car for sure but he’s estimated it to be an electrical issue around $650. I call another mechanic and ask about the price for this alleged issue and he says he thinks the price is high. I call back literally 12 minutes later to tell them I want to get a second opinion and take my car somewhere else and now they said my car is already fixed and I have to pay the $650🫢😮. The manager was very nice but he offered no solution even after acknowledging it was his fault for not calling to notify me personally. I WILL NEVER EVER BRING MY CAR BACK and this is my second service but I really feel like they played in my face and are not apologetic I do not recommend.

Was charged double after repairs were, stuck paying way over cost. Long time customer ended with this one repair. Never again. Get a quote up front, call around and get comparison

ı have bring my car for left light problem they said its needs to be replace a new one and to do that bumper is gona be take off and after that light will be replace ı was all good until that. they said there will be 260$ labor cost (left light is 70$) its very very expensive and there is not that much thing to do. after ı bring the car home back ı just take off the bulb in the light and put it back after that all problem has been solved. (they took 50$ for detect the problem in the light it was 20 minutes of job). all ım saying is stay away from this place they dont trying to fix your car they just trying to make much money as they can make on you.

Ogden Automotive to the rescue!!! My front brakes and caliper went out on my suv. Took it to Pepboys around the corner and let’s just say they were trying to hit me over the head. Looked up some shops in the area and their reviews. I choose Ogden Automotive for the win. Spoke to a gentleman named Andy and he was awesome. Didn’t feel like I was being taken advantage of at All. Price was affordable and service was done in a timely fashion. I’d recommend this shop to everyone especially women because they won’t try to play with your intelligence.

Cashier (the one who formerly owned a body shop) on shift on 9/26 at 4:30 overcharged me TWICE. I got a TPSM replacement and light bulb change. He charged me $130 extra. He charged me $400 for a $271 service. So then he voided the $400 sale (after he already charged my card for the $400) and told me he would have to charge the $271 again instead of just refunding the $129 to my card from the $400 he card me. He admitted his mistake but offered NO solution not even a store credit. Imagine getting charged $671 for something that cost $271. I know I will be refunded the $400 but its the fact i went in there expecting to only pay about $200 for a service and they charged me $400 over in total. I have about $3-4k of body and electronic work to do on my car and they lost me as a customer. Theyd probably accidently charge me $10k for a 4k service. They did repair the car well though and quickly. -2 stars for poor customer service. Imagine if I was a single mom and I only had $500 to my name. What he did would financially have screwed me. Very poor mathematical and cashier skills… NEVER GOING BACK

I recently visited this shop after moving to Chicago to Denver, and I brought in my 2013 Hyundai Elantra. The first thing I liked is that they allowed me to bring in my own parts for a rear brake/rotor change. The shop might not look like much on the outside, but I get the feeling that this is a highly skilled group of technicians. They do everything at a fair price, and overall it's a friendly place. Highly recommended!

My company vehicle suddenly stopped stopping just after I exited I290 and was on Ogden Ave. A Google search showed Ogden Automotive Center less than a mile away. Being on a tight schedule, it was not the best time for a breakdown (automotive or mental)! Andy had the vehicle repaired and was out the door within 24 hours! No "upsell" attempt either! I'm not an easy guy to impress, but I gotta say I was very impressed indeed! Almost wish I lived closer to them so I could take all my automotive repairs to Ogden Automotive Center! Thank you Andy!

I absolutely love this shop. Andy is great. I've been here 3x and had nothing but great experiences. They fixed my car when the engine light popped on, gave my car a tune up, and recently fixed it when there was smoke coming from the hood. They have great prices and get the job done in a timely manner. I live 30 minutes away and this shop is definitely worth the commute. Highly recommend. Definitely my go to shop for all my car problems.

This place is fantastic, I highly recommend to anyone looking for a friendly and reliable auto shop. I have used them twice and have been extremely satisfied. Paul has been very helpful both times I’ve been there. He is very honest, and does his best to help you out as much as he can with the insurance. The staff is very friendly, they do good work, and they try to get everything taken care of as quick as possible. They are genuinely good people that do hard & honest work at a fair price, they truly want to help their customers.

UPDATE: My issue definitely happened at this shop. Had them replace an A/C unit on my Mazda3 that subsequently failed. Brought it in for repair several times but it continued to not work. Asked for a refund, but they would only give me half the money back. Filed a complaint with Chicago consumer protection. Owner tried to claim I didn't return the A/C unit to him, like I'm supposed to give him back the defective part he installed in my car! Finally consumer protection ruled in my favor and I got my money back. When the lady from the city called she told me Ogden has had multiple offences. Strongly recommend to stay away from this place!
