Update: A new mechanic looked at my car and my ignition relay was bad and Inalso learned my Head Gasket is bad and has been for awhile. Which Pat's Auto completely over looked! I explain the overheating issues and coolant loss to the new mechanic and they immediately knew what it was and tested it. Pat's Auto claimed my car had no leaks but never looked further into the issue. Im surprised my Head Gasket didn't cause severe damage to my engine. Pat's Auto is the worst mechanic shop in the whole town! If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I have a 2013 Chevy Cruze that I got in May 2023. The first time I took it to Pat's auto was for a coolant leak that I couldn't fix myself. They fixed the coolant leak and even did a pressure test to assure there was no more leaks. Cool Leak fix or so I thought. I continue to have leaks in that same spot they "fixed" I have to keep tightening a screw around the clamp they put in place! A month or so later I have my driver side door window fall in. For some reason the plastic pieces broke inside the door. They fixed that and it was all good with my window. I now have a message pop up on the dashboard that always tells me to roll the window down and back up. Has never gone away and never had it before they fixed my window. The next unfortunate thing happened in January 2024 and it was when my car battery died in the middle of me driving. Had to get a $75 tow to get it to Pats shop. Got a new battery (200 something bucks later) The next big thing was doing a tune up on my car in March of 2024 cause I had a cylinder misfire going on and a small oil leak from a Valve Cover Gasket (I believe that's what its called). Well got that all done not even a few days later I noticed oil splatter all under the hood of my car. The oil leak was never fixed like it was said and that I paid for to be fixed. Lets see next issues my car ended up dying July 2024 and it was stuck at the gas station on college next to Dominos. Ended up trying to have friends fix it with a bit of luck. The Fuel Pump Control Module needed replacing. So I paid Chevy to do it as they were the only one with the programming equipment to do so. Car still didn't work after that so I decided to give Pats another go. I got my car down there in November of 2024 so they could figure out what the problem way (I asked to know what was wrong not for them to fix it without me knowing any costs and they fixed it and called me after the fact.) Coil Pack was bad! $500 dollars later. Not even a week later my car was cutting out in the middle of driving and even died completely while I was in the middle of traffic with my kids! Turns out they gave me my car back with a battery that had used 87 percentage of its battery life!! I called and asked them to replace it since I only had gotten the battery in January of the same year! The battery was under warranty and ended up being replaced for no cost. And here we are January 2025 with a car that still dies while driving and almost caused a major accident. No check engine light and I have to jump the car to get it to start again. (Most of the time) Battery good. Alternator good. What could be the problem now since they assured me my car ran good? Bad Coil pack? Clogged fuel pump? The issue is a mystery right now until a nee mechanic takes a look. Pat's Auto may be a bit more affordable for a mechanic shop, but how does my car always have continuous issues after taking it to their shop. I may be a female with a bad car, but I am not stupid I highly do not recommend Pat's Auto. When I told Pat of the current issue again he blamed it on me for not bringing it back right away and even yelled at me( I hung up cause I wont taken that rude tone and swearing), but guess what I have a severe back injury that keeps me home a lot. I cant continuously take my car back and forth to them just because they cant fix the issues correctly! I know now that I am being taken advantage when I take my car in. WORST MECHANIC SHOP EVER!

Great guy's got me in and out and my f250 home with no problems thanks for taking the time to see if I had any leaks the half quart of oil and antifreeze not a bad way to spend $60.00

These guys are great! I broke down on a Thursday evening 30 miles east of Rock Springs. I was traveling with a newly purchased truck camper and was very concerned as to how I was going to get a tow with the camper on my truck. I called Pat's auto the following morning and immediately knew that I was in good hands. He recommended a tow company that could tow my truck with the camper installed. Upon arrival at his shop both he and his son Tyler came out to assist. Tyler, who is Pat's son is one of the most capable mechanics I have ever met, as is Pat. In no time at all they were troubleshooting and identifying the issue. The repair required parts be ordered with an arrival of the following morning. Pat coordinated lodging at a local hotel and gave me a ride . The following morning, parts arrived and Tyler was on it. If you've ever been broke down in western Wyoming, you understand how helpless I initially felt. Pat was extremely fair on his price, especially considering how above and beyond that he and Tyler went to get me back on the road. If I lived locally, they would absolutely be my mechanics!! Thank you so much Pat and Tyler!! I made it home to Kansas safely and the truck runs better than it ever has!

My 2002 Eurovan needed an alternator as I was heading home to Colorado after a great solo road trip. I found Pat on Google Maps, made it there and he was able to order the part and get it fixed within 24 hours. One of the best parts of my trip was this unexpected detour in Rock Springs, a town full of kind people and interesting history. Pat reassured me it would be fine to camp in his lot and I did, waking up in the morning to the sound of 30 or so kids in a marching band on the way to the first day of Rock Springs High School. Thanks to Pat, his son and the guys at the shop who got me and my dog back on the road!

Had a major wheel hub issue on 1-80 while driving from CO to UT, Pat’s got me first thing, the guys were all kind and very knowledgeable. Got the part quickly and I was back and running. Highly recommend!

After driving through on our way to our family vacation we pulled in with a check engine light and initially our fix was going to be a quick one-afternoon $600 fix. Well after waiting until they almost closed I decided to call for an update and they told me they discovered that I would have to have to do the same fix twice to both sides of the valve covers. Cool, I guess we're doing that now. So after having our car for an entire 2nd day I called again and asked what's up? Well apparently they had to really clean the covers because these kind of things take time to really get it right, and I'm now stuck in Rock Springs for another day. Thankfully he offered to let us stay in a cheap $55 roach motel but after asking he said we'd be responsible for those costs anyway so I gladly declined and decided to get our family a more comfortable accommodation. After they had finally finished our repair, we had now owed a touch over $1,400. So after paying, we were on our way and not 2 hours later our check engine came back on. Great. After we got our vehicle re-diagnosed it was discovered we had a damaged crank shaft sensor that had happened when the repairs to our valve covers had happened. Honestly, would NOT recommend unless you're desperate for repairs.

My vehicle was towed to pats. I will never recommend him. He lied about what was wrong with my truck. Just cause I am a girl doesn’t mean I don’t know anything. Very bad service and he was rude.

Great experience. Great service.

Feb 07, 2024

Great place for auto work.

Feb 07, 2024

He did alright on my Chevelle but he definitely took me for some cash on a hobby truck at took him years to get going and ran like trash !!!

Feb 07, 2024

Honest and dependable.

Feb 07, 2024

I broke down on the interstate. Pat got my truck at 1 pm and before closing time I was back on my way! Absolutely awesome service and at an extremely reasonable price. I would give more stars if I could!!!

Feb 07, 2024

I highly recommend Pats Auto! Super nice guys, fixed us up in no time. They were obviously very busy but helped us out quickly and they were so nice it really made our day! Surprisingly cheap repair, which was shocking since the day before a different mechanic at another shop quoted 8x more than pat charged us. 👍👍

I think the receipt speaks for itself. Can you understand how they came up with $300 of labor? He didn't do what I asked him and some how knowing that my vehicle sat for a year he never looked to see if my tires were good. I could of done all that he did plus see that my tires are dry rotted and now getting that taken care of plus all that he didn't do. Anyone that doesn't know vehicle basics stay as far away as you can!!! Thank God I have family here he had my vehicle a week to do an oil change and a battery that I have no idea how old it is.

I would give 10 stars if I could! Pat specializes in helping out of towners get fixed fast and back on the road. Pat's is a third generation repair shop that always answers when called. I was in the Red Desert and one of my pulleys started making a wicked witch moan. Called Pat, briefly described the problem, told me to bring it in right then and he would take care of it. Turns out had a bad water pump, idler pulley and worn serpentine belt. Within 4 hours was back on the road. Great prices too. Thank you Tyler for your wonderful repair of my vehicle! If I lived in town Pat would do all my vehicle repairs.

On a cross-country road trip, my car broke down on a highway in Wyoming. It was a Saturday after 5 pm when most shops were closed for the weekend. I called all around and Pat was the only one who told me he could help. I even tried to get a tow truck through my insurance, but they couldn't find one till Monday. Pat got me a tow immediately, a stay at a nearby motel, and fixed up the car by the next morning. He even dropped me off and picked me up at the motel so I did not have to waste money on an uber. I appreciate the quick responses, communication, and all the help with my car! Made it safe to my destination thanks to your shop!

Feb 07, 2024

Pat and Dan replaced my alternator on an hours notice and for a very reasonable rate. I can't recommend this place enough!

Feb 07, 2024

Pat really helped me out. Highly recommended place to love your cars. He is very nice and professional, fixed my broken gas tank, vapor canister and so on. He also provided important notices to keep my eyes on. Quite amazing experience with him.

Pat’s saved our rear ends! We were coming through town on a cross country road trip when a coolant hose failed. Pat’s got us in, fixed up, and on our way again in less than 2 hours! The guys are very friendly and our boys loved seeing the shop. Fast, friendly, and fair, can’t ask for better! Thank you Pat’s Auto!!

Feb 07, 2023

Car was having big problems outside of Rock Springs. Called Pat and he had me bring it in. Was terrified it would take forever or cost a ton, Pat had me fix and on the road in about an hour and for WAY less than I thought it might be. So glad I stopped here.

Feb 07, 2023

Do your homework shop around this is definitely the most expensive place. And very unprofessional. Almost like a barn where they fix the cars. I was desperate and didn't have time to shop around

Feb 07, 2023

I broke down on a Saturday night while passing through. Pat was the only mechanic to answer the phone and make himself available to take a look at my vehicle on a Sunday. They prioritized me due to my situation, although they were full for the day. Monday I was on my way again. My vehicle runs so much smoother now. Pat truly went above and beyond for me and did an amazing job! Thank you!!

My car broke down on the freeway heading into Rock Springs. There was no Hyundai dealer, and Toyota dealership couldn't work me in for 6 days. Called Pat and he told me to come right over. The tech ran diagnostics, and found the same code as Hyundai dealership in Murray, UT who overrode the code and put me back on the road---only to have my car break down 80 miles from Rock Springs. Next Pat and the tech checked the oil---there was NONE!!! Over 2.5 years of COVID b.s., I'd completely forgotten to get the oil changed. After putting in 4 quarts, and checking for leaks (there were none), I was back on the road, heading back home to Colorado where I arrived safely in five hours of driving. Three cheers for Pat helping a stranded traveler, and doing what any service should have done---check to see oil levels. Thanks Pat!!! You're the best!

My experience with Pat is that he was highly unprofessional, had a problem with any kind of accountability, would not answer his phone and would only call me back on a restricted number. He sent my engine out to someone with no contact information-- I have no idea who did it or how. He was aggressive on the phone, dismissive of my questions, lied about what was being done when and became very whiny, saying "it isn't my fault, it isn't my problem." He took over 3 months to complete the job, and 32 days after he had possession of the rebuilt engine. Police mediation was necessary in order to retrieve my vehicle. It was drivable when I left, but he refused to warranty any of his work that cost $5,500. I will review the progress of my repair every 6 months. I will never bring a car to this shop. I can not recommend this shop. My experience has been very bad. This has been an enormous inconvenience and hardship in my life, and he has been rude, noncommunicative and unprofessional. He refused to warranty his work which speaks for itself. Even if it was warranteed, I would never bring it back to his shop. His word means nothing. 4/5/22 update. My car is currently at another shop. The pictures I have included are from that mechanic. The pictures show an engine that is leaking oil everywhere because Pat glued it together with silicone. He also put the spark plug wires in backwards, causing them to get burnt on the engine block and need to be replaced. The oil pan was cracked in half and glued back together with silicone. To quote my current mechanic, "A high school student could have done a better job."

Passing through on a monday, was on my way to salt lake city, truck was overheating. Got and appointment at the dodge dealership for that friday, didn't know about Pat's auto service until Thursday, dodge said I needed 2 new batteries and a fan clutch 2 to 4 week wait time on that fan clutch. They had an hour left before they closed and they couldn't even put 2 batteries in my truck they told me they would do it monday. So I got batteries from Walmart did it myself didnt take me an hour or 3 days like they was going to, fan clutch i had to find myself from another dodge dealership out of Colorado, they mailed it to Pat's and they put it in on that same day. Awesome and wonderful people i would recommend them to anyone that is needing any kind of vehicle repair done.

They do great work and are awesome people. Always willing to give you a ride.

Feb 07, 2022

Good mechanic with reasonable prices. Won't do unnecessary work on your vehicle to hike up the price.

Feb 07, 2022

I had a terrible experience dealing with Pat. He was unable to fix the car in a timely manner even though he said it would "go fast". Ended up picking the car up without him finishing after over a month. He was rude throughout the entire process. Only thing he's good at is coming up with excuses. I'm glad he proved himself to be completely untrustworthy and we had to take the car to another mechanic to finish the job. They can empty the water out the radiator that he left in it and fill it with antifreeze like a good mechanic would. Would not recommend at all.

Feb 07, 2022

I was traveling cross country and my check engine light came on. I panicked and called several places no one could fit me in. Then I called Pat it was Friday afternoon and he had closed for the day. I explained my situation and he told me he would call me right back, which he did. He and his son met me at their shop and ran a diagnostic. They got me back on the road in no time. Didn’t even want any money. Huge thanks to them both.

Feb 07, 2022

Pats auto body is amazing. Very professional and work in a timely fashion ! Would 10 out of 10 recommend.

Feb 07, 2022

Terrible service. Kept my car forever and I had to finally take it somewhere else.

Feb 07, 2022

They got me in but then ordered bolts that I gave them that wouldn't be there till Saturday and I told him I had to leave that day they use loctite on the starter bolts and told me the starter was still loose but they didn't think the bolts bought them out don't think I would ever go back there again was just happy to have the vehicle back it started and I left never heard of anybody using loctite on starter bolts so maybe it's me but I don't think so

Feb 07, 2022

This place was awesome! Friendly and helpful! Talked me through the issue and went over and above to get me back on the road. Thank you guys 🤙🏽

Feb 07, 2022

Went in for a Brake master cylinder and brake booster replacement They installed a faulty brake master cylinder, and didn't bother to make sure the brakes were in good working order before handing back the vehicle. When I dropped off my car again because the brakes were worse than before, they couldn't diagnose the issue. I had to take my car to a different mechanic to diagnose and fix the problem. Pats auto also didn't adjust the brake booster push rod properly which the second mechanic has to fix as well. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place, their negligence could have caused a car wreck..
