Took around a half day to fix what I came in for. They created an inspection list with color grading to detail what I need to fix either urgently or in the future.

They do a really, I mean really great job. They will bend over backwards to help you. They aren't cheap, but honestly, do you want someone cheap working on your car or truck? Think about it.

Very thorough. Overall pleased with the quality. They are genuine and honest in their assessment of what does and does not require attention. Also, when repairs on my car were unexpectedly delayed (by ~2 business days) they voluntarily offered a 10% discount on labor.

I had a great experience here at Paul’s. Called and spoke to Jonathon, was able to get in the same day, full inspection of my car and got my rotors/brake pads replaced. Better prices than other Sacramento spots. Thank you Paul’s!

The staff at Paul's are honest and reliable. They recommend and provide the right preventative services at the right time. Came in early for an appointment for SMOG and Paul's Automotive completed the service and performed a courtesy 14 pt inspection in a timely manner. I walked over to a coffee shop, tackled some emails, and walked right back to pick up my vehicle. I appreciate the text updates and link to view the inspection notes.

I called Paul's for a quote after someone hit the driver side mirror of my parked car. Paul's was kind and helpful from the start and was able to get my car in the next day. The price they quoted me on the phone was the price I paid even when something out of their control happened and I needed to bring the car back in. They gave me all the documentation I needed to move forward with my accident and provided a review of the entire car for no additional cost.

I've been bringing my "old beater" classic 89 Camry wagon to Pauls for smog checks, oil changes, needed repairs and maintenance for years now. They've done repairs and fixes that probably no other shop will attempt. It's my reserve vehicle, they help me keep it roadworthy and safe. Special shoutout to service advisors Tracyln and John. Love these guys!🙂

Paul's Automotive has been making an extra effort to schedule my car for luge and oil so that I can 'wait' for it to be done. This saves me borrowing a car or relying on public transportation. This also keep me getting to work.

After taking it to several shops and spending a lot of money without success, I was very happy to find the shop who did a thorough diagnosis and fixed it! I was looking for a good auto shop and then someone suggested this shop. I had several issues including air conditioning and smog. I was happy that both were fixed! If I could I would give them 6 stars. I stumbled on Paul's automotive after my trucks engine stopped working while driving. I had my car towed home on a Sunday and had a mobile mechanic misdiagnose it as a simple sensor issue when in fact the timing belt was non operational. My original mechanic had closed shop and moved and so I was unsure what to do. I had a third service warranty and saw that Paul's automotive worked with 3rd parties. I called and spoke with Johnathan who was informative, compassionate and patient. He explained options and cost to diagnose and get to the root of the issue. I had AAA tow it to the shop. It turns out that issues with my truck were multiple and going to be costly. My 3rd party was not would not cover most of anything and I would be footing the bill pretty much on my own. Johnathan went over different scenarios and cost break downs and never lost his patience. I've worked with the public for many years and his demeanor was utter professionalism. After weighing the options I decided not to proceed with investing the money into the truck (it was over 20 years old) and had it towed out of the shop. They even offered to keep it another night and would have to push it back in from parking lot in a 103 plus temps during our heatwave. I decided to have it moved that afternoon. At no point did I feel did I feel pressured to make any expensive repairs. They were absolutely detail oriented and gave me a very good understanding of what was going on with the engine. There was a typed up diagnosis including what other items I should repair in the near future if I decided to proceed. As soon as I have a new car or truck I will be servicing it at Paul's automotive. I trust that they are honest, pay attention to detail and pro active. In the past I've had rushed mechanics who scribbled down what they took care and most of the time it was impossible to read. Most mechanic shops also avoid taking care of small things that end up causing damage in the long run. Looking back at my experiences with other mechanic shops I've never in my 30 plus years have felt I received this type of service and should write a review. Paul's automotive sets the bar! Thank you Johnathan and staff.

My EV up and died on me and Paul's Automotive was able to get me in the next day. They worked with my warranty people, ordered my part, and got it installed incredibly quickly. They communicated everything with me in a clear and easy to understand way. Everyone was very friendly, it's super easy to get to, and they have some very adorable shop pups. It was great working with this business!

We quoted a $257 smog check because my car is a 1999. Nothing wrong with my car just needs the smog check for DMV. I called another shop and paid $40.00 because I found a coupon! Really Paul's????? If you didn't want my business just say we don't work on cars that old! Very disappointed!
