I highly recommend Peak Auto Service! They have excellent customer service and were extremely attentive to my car situation when my last car broke down. The service was quick, efficient, and well explained through regular updates. The shop is locally owned and has a warm sitting area for waiting when needed. If you’re near Old Colorado City, pay them a visit next time you are in need of auto repairs or maintenance.

These guys are great. Really fair prices and they’ll work with you the best they can to stay within a budget if possible. I’ve had my car worked on there for the past 18 months or so and it all started with me running over a parking block…and then trying to reverse off of it (PSA - don’t do that!!!). I broke both my radiators trying to do that. Yes. Two radiators (I drive a diesel VW golf). Peak Auto worked with me as they knew I wasn’t made of money but the simple fact is a repair like that is costly…but they made my experience, and every experience since then, positive and as breezy and possible. I’m extremely satisfied and proud to call Peak Auto my #1 mechanic!

I've been taking my vehicles to Peak Auto for at least 5 years, and while it's under relatively new management, I have only been impressed with the new improvements to the business, and with Jacob's honesty, friendliness, and professional excellence.

EDIT 9/24: Guess they don’t do alignments anymore. Called to schedule one again and was told to go to Big O on Fillmore. 4/24: Got me in real fast for an alignment adjustment prior to a road trip. Super convenient!

I travel a lot did you work all along the Front Range from north of Denver Metro all the way down to Pueblo and even to the east. Of course I have to maintain my car. Well I've been having a tire go low on me so I pulled in here to hopefully get air. I was concerned but this place was great. They quickly put air and when I offered to pay for their assistance they would not accept it. They even help me push the car out of the way cuz I had trouble with a battery connection luckily was simple to resolve. They did not try to upsell me or insist on anything they were great guys very respectful and very professional. So when I need a tire this is a great place to get one. They're great guys Spanish-speaking and English don't hesitate to stop in

The Peak Auto team is all around great. I like asking questions and getting to see the issues myself and the team is always friendly and happy to explain things in everyday terms. You can expect honesty and reliable work. There is a premium for this experience but you certainly get what you pay for. Customer for years and likely years to come.

We were visiting from out of town and trying to drive to the top of Pike's Peak when the check engine light started flashing and the engine seemed to be misfiring. We searched frantically for a nearby mechanic who would be able to look at it quickly. Fortunately, we found Peak Auto Service. They were able to start investigating the issue almost immediately, and after a few hours we were back on the road. The car made the 1000+ mile trip home and is running well! The service and treatment we received from Peak Auto Service was top notch, and we highly recommend them. Thank you!

After years and years of trying to find my go-to mechanic shop, Peak Auto is it. Mike and Chad are both stand-up guys. I drive an older vehicle and when I express to them that I don't want to go buy another vehicle, they listen! 🙌 I'm rather old-fashioned and my mindset is, why would I get a new vehicle when this one still gets me from A to B?? So naturally, I love it when I can ask a trusted mechanic if it's worth fixing "X" on my car, and get an honest answer. Both Chad and Mike have given me some great advice and (hopefully) helped keep my vehicle running for years to come. Update: 8/2024, New car (for me,) new ownership (for them,)...still fantastic! The transition from Mike to Jacob was seamless. Peak Auto still is, and will remain, our preferred shop.

Can't say enough about how grateful I am for Peak Auto. They made sure last-minute repairs could be completed - for safety purposes - in time for a cross country trip this week, really going out of their way and inconveniencing themselves to ensure that I didn't encounter issues on the road. They did excellent work and were very communicative throughout the process, discussing possible options and outcomes. I feel really good about the work they've done and was just especially impressed by how seriously they took my situation. Terrific experience!

Wonderful service!!! I can't thank them enough. I felt super unsafe driving my car around. I told them I felt like I was sliding all over the road and it was very loud while driving my car. They told me to take it by the next day and would fit me in as an emergency situation. I got there around 10am, they drove my car, got it into the shop and showed me underneath the car what was wrong. My wheel bearings were really bad that some of my tires were wobbling and would most likely pop off my car. They showed me a leak which wasn't their top priority. I thought it was so cool to actually go under the car with them and have them show me what was going on. They did ask me how much I could spend today just so they can get everything done or what they could push off. They worked with me, and even gave me a discount for paying in cash. They were done in about two hours. I was thinking they might have to keep it through to next week. I drove it and it's so smooth now, I feel safe again and I don't feel like I'm sliding on ice or feel like I'm in a jet. Thank you so much Jacob, Kevin and the rest of the team! Can't forget the shop dog Kobayashi Maru, what a sweet heart. I will keep coming back and recommend them to everyone! Thank you guys!

I just want to update my review to mention how much we appreciate them. Our 2008 car needed an oil change and winterization plus a diagnostic scan. I was already aware it needed a lot of work and they didn't sugar coat anything which I very much appreciated. We decided to salvage the vehicle and Mike offered us more than we would get taking it in ourselves He is truly a remarkable young man. His honesty, kindness, generosity and excellent work have earned him our loyalty and recommendation. Thank you Mike and Peak Auto Service!!! This place is extremely busy but fit us in to replace a signal light. Chad is a wonderful young man and although he was not able to service our vehicle at that time he felt it was important to replace the light since it is a safety concern. We scheduled the servicing for another day. We highly recommend them

Best mechanic shop experience ever! While in Colorado for vacation with my three children we needed “emergency service” on our vehicle. Mike was able to get us in the shop in a very timely manner. Not only did they take care of the issues but preformed a bumper to bumper inspection to ensure our vehicle was in safe operating condition. The customer service was phenomenal! Instead of having us wait in their waiting area Mike took my children and I down to a “local favorite” breakfast diner! (ask Mike about this hidden gem!) Thank you to Mike and crew for taking care of us and putting us back on the road safely!

I saw reviews saying the same thing, all their lows reviews are exactly what I experienced. I called in about a simple job, got bullied into their diagnosis without them ever seeing the car and was quoted a price almost 2x the cost I got the repair done for. After the call I thought the mechanic seemed pushy and wanted to do my own research on the parts. Turns out the parts only totaled $180 (best quality parts you can buy for the repair) compared to $450+ they quoted. They throw out a big quote and bully their customers into believing their “expertise” when really they quote high to have some wiggle room to rip you off. Maybe they do good work but their business practice is shady. If you don’t know a lot about cars, don’t trust these guys to teach you anything at a fair price. Didn’t wanna leave this review and hurt a small business but it’s been bugging me all day how bad they tried to rip me off. I saved $260 not coming here, good luck to the next person!

Mike and his staff are great. Prices are fair, but the customer service is superb. Would definitely recommend peak auto service to anyone, and I am happy my friend recommended them to me. We had some exhaust work done on an older lexus, some of the bolts came out and we returned and mike took care of it right away. I had a control arm replaced in my subaru and Mike stayed late to make sure it was done today so now I can drive to work tomorrow.

This is the best shop in town. They are fair in their prices, they understand when you have an older car that not every little thing needs done and they never pressure you. They are honest and really kind. The owner Mike is a great guy. Can’t recommend enough.
