*** Update*** After several requests reviews and emails to speak with a manager Brian called me. He did his best to make it right and set me up with a car to use for my trip. I will update again once service has been completed *** On October 29, I dropped off my vehicle at Peak Kia. My appointment was scheduled for November 20 they told me they dropped it off If there was a cancellation, I could take that spot. On Tuesday, November 5, they were able to get me in due to a cancellation and my car was diagnosed and we agreed on a rebuild for $5200. I was told on November 8 by Sherri that if the parts arrived on Tuesday that my car would be ready to go on November 15. I confirmed with Peak Kia on November 12 that the parts did arrive and was told that my vehicle would be ready by the end of the week. Sherri called me on November 15 and told me that the vehicle was not going to be ready and that she would need another week. I let her know on November 15 that we had an upcoming trip on November 22 that I needed the vehicle for. She stated that she would talk to management and that I would get a call before the end of day on Monday I never got that call. On Tuesday, I reached out to the dealership and spoke with Stacy. She did let me know that sherry was unfortunately out of the office however would speak to management to make sure the messages were relayed. Stacy called me back and let me know that they flew somebody in from Florida and my car would be ready by Friday November 22 in time for my trip. Now today, less than 24 hours before we’re needing to leave I get a call from Sherri stating that the car will not be ready and they need until next week. I have no problem, leaving the vehicle there if they can provide me a loaner vehicle for my trip however, when discussing this, they stated their vehicles have to stay in the state of Colorado and they would not be able to loan me a vehicle to travel to Nevada. So they are offering no solutions to their delays when I’m paying them $5200 in work. I’m still waiting on my requested phone call from management.

The most disorganized place I’ve ever been to. They will schedule appointments without confirming they have the parts, and no one here has any idea what anyone else in the company did or what anyone’s role is. They blame shift and make excuses when they have no internal communication whatsoever. We have wasted so much time that it almost makes us regret the telluride purchase and certainly will affect where we buy our next vehicle.

I have taken my Kia Sorento to Peak Kia service center since I purchased my car from their dealership. One of the big reasons for this was they offered free shuttle service, well at least they used to. I scheduled an oil change through the Kia App and it asked if I planned on using shuttle service and I said yes. I got to Kia and during the check-in process mentioned I needed a shuttle to work and the person checking me in said okay. I was hanging around in the lobby and asked a follow-up question of when the shuttle would be leaving and they then advised me that they don't provide shuttle service anymore. I told them that when I scheduled my car service e and for every previous appointment that I got a shuttle and they said oh sorry we just started not providing shuttle service and I would just have to wait. So happy I am going to be late to work because a service I have always received from Kia is now no longer available and this change was made without giving the customer a heads up. If you plan on getting service at Peak Kia of Chapel Hills, don't expect to get a shuttle and plan on sitting there for awhile. Looks like I am going to find a mechanic in the future who has more respect for their customers. Also, when I checked in they had a tablet that I signed that told me that my oil change was going to cost $76. When it came time for me to pay they told me it was $97 instead of the original quoted 76 and they said that's because that screen doesn't show taxed so that was a nice surprise. Plus I discovered that they no longer do military discounts on oil changes. The customer service representative said we've never done military discount on oil changes however all my previous oil changes they provided that. Just one more reason why I'm not coming back to this service center. Update: if you will notice, Peak Kia responded shortly after I submitted my above review saying that a representative would be reaching out to me, but for everybody's reference nobody ever did and it's almost been 2 weeks.

I had a great experience buying my car and for the two years it was under the service plan. Since then, however, it's been downhill. I quit getting oil changes there because it took forever to get in. But I had to go in a month ago for a recall and while it did take forever to get in (which I find unacceptable given the recalls are safety issues), I scheduled for that and an oil change. I realized however that I needed to get an oil change before my appointment and went ahead and had that done elsewhere. I called Kia to make sure that was taken off my service order. Several times. No one answered. No one called me back. I figured they must have received my message and didn't think about it when I dropped it off for the recall issue. Once I got home I realized I should maybe call again and make sure they didn't end up doing an oil change unnecessarily. Again, I called and no answer. I called again and someone answered and said she'd transfer me to do someone. No answer. I called again, she said she'd go back and talk to the service guys and let them know. she never returned. I tried emailing the email that was sent in my confirmation text when I dropped it off. It was kicked back as undeliverable. I tried to call the number that was in the text- again no answer. I finally gave up and when they called to tell me it was done, they had no idea about any of this and had done the oil change. I didn't have to pay for it but I thought what kind of circus is this?! So less than a month later I get a other recall notice. This one saying "risk of fire, park your car outside until it can be serviced." Seemed pretty serious. I called to schedule it and again they can't get me in for a month. So whatever, I schedule it. I also asked that they take a look at the auto stop/start function which hasn't been working. For some reason the person I'm talking with isn't sure they can handle this, which is odd since I'm talking with the service dept. She says she's going to transfer me to someone else. I get a voicemail, leave a message and again, no one calls back. So I called again last week and was bounced around. No one called back. I call again the next day, finally speak to someone who says she's not sure and puts me on hold to ask. She comes back and says because they weren't planning on it (apparently my first two requests were not documented?), it will take longer but as long as I can leave my car there for the whole day, they can look at it. I ask if I can get a ride as I have two kids at home. She says yes. So I show up today as scheduled and she asks what I'm there for. I say recall and the auto stop/start. She says the auto start/stop is not planned for today. Obviously, I'm annoyed. How does one get anything taken care of here?! She goes and checks and says they can do it today but it'll take awhile. Then she gives me my keys and says they'll let me know when it's done. I say, "I need a ride." She says they can't offer a ride today. I just left my kids at home thinking I'd be back in half an hour with the ride I was told I'd be able to get because my car needs to be there ALL DAY. I obviously cannot just sit there all day long and I tell her I need to cancel the apt and get my car back and go home then, and that it would have been nice for someone who was planning to leave her vehicle for the entire day and who was promised a ride to know of a change in plans. She gets snippy and tells me they don't know who needs rides when. Well I guess that might be a good place to start for customer service. Now I'm rescheduled more than a month out. Meanwhile my car might spontaneously combust.

Trying to get ahold of anyone at this dealership is like pulling teeth. I have called 10 times a day and receive no call backs nor will they answer their phone. I dropped my car off on a Wednesday for a warranty right up, was told it would be ready no later than Friday. No text/call on Friday stating its ready. The text supposedly is interactive with them to request any updates low and behold I send one no response. Saturday morning I called 5 times, receive no answer nor call back. Once again send a text no response. This tells me this dealership is horrible to work with. Also makes me think that if your that busy you must not be selling good cars or Kia's are crap vehicles. Because of this Service Team I will never buy a vehicle from this dealership nor will I ever own a kia again!

I have nothing but good things to say about the service center at Peak Kia. I began to experience engine issues which thankfully were covered under Kia’s warranty. Aside from the obvious reason I’m happy, I just gotta give a shout out to everyone in the service department but especially Ricardo and CeCe. You both worked wonders to get my engine replaced and getting me with a rental. I am so appreciative and so grateful. Thank you so much Peak Kia for moving mountains for me and my little forte!

4 month old Kia Niro - engine light and hybrid warning light came on. Called for an appointment and they are booked out for a month. Will update once I finally get in and get service. Doesn't do any good to have a warranty when you can't get in to get it fixed.

Ricardo, Johnny and the Peak team are great. Best customer service. After a year of stress with an insurance claim hour story at a body shop, they repaired our Sorrento to its full functioning pre claim condition. Thankful for their help. Highly recommend this dealership.

We were left stranded 1000 miles from home by our Telluride that we had just purchased 1 week prior as Certified Pre-Owned (Long Story, we did not purchase it from Peak Kia). It was the middle of the night on Saturday. We had to tow it in and drop it off after-hours. The after hours drop box was easily accessible and the area was well lit. First thing Monday morning they were able to diagnose it to be a bad battery and we got it resolved with minimal delay. We were back back on the road home by Monday afternoon. The unfortunate part is that the dealership refused to cover the repair under any sort of warranty. Yes, of course the battery is a wear item and they go bad all the time. But we purchased this car as CPO and there is a very detailed inspection checklist they must follow. People buy CPO cars specifically so they don’t get stuck in this exact situation. Testing the battery is one item they must check for it to qualify as a CPO car. There is no way that the battery had gone bad in one week, so this car had a bad battery when we bought it. I would have liked to see Peak Kia network with the Kia dealership that we purchased the car from to come up with a solution but that wasn’t something they were willing to do. We had already missed one days work and needed to get back home so we had no choice but to pay up. Overall, I’m 50/50 on this. I’m happy they were able to see us so quickly and get us back on the road but I wish they would have done more to try to get the repair taken care of by our home dealership or CPO warranty.

While the staff was friendly and helpful, I did have issues with the state of the car after pick-up. The first pick-up, I was almost home when the engine light came on and the car started having issues. Brought the car back and was given a loaner for the time being. When I came back to pick up my car , the issue was something was not plugged in correctly. Upon inspection of the car after the 2nd pick-up, the shift lock release and the lever for the passenger AC vent are broken. The shift Locke release piece was just tossed in the center console and we we were not informed it was damaged. The car was also in the shop for over month, due to shipping.

I’ve normally had great experiences having my car serviced at Peak Kia. However, I ran into a few issues with my recent service - I needed a complete engine replacement under warranty due to a manufacturing issue. While I didn’t pay a penny out of pocket and they had it done much quicker than I had expected, the beginning of the process was difficult with taking nearly a week to diagnose the issue and approve a rental car for me. I missed a decent amount of work and school because of this. If they would have been able to get me into a vehicle sooner, things would have been so much easier.

Went in for engine noise I was thinking top end maybe lifter SO I paid for them to diagnose it They came back with We need to tear some of the motor apart for further inspection about 900$ not including parts but sounded like it was going to be lifters. A week later I was told (during holidays don't hold it against them) Definitely lifters and roughly 2000k. I went to pick up the car and I was immediately told another noise is still there I said they was only one noise and you should have caught it with the tear down. We went back and fourth for a bit but they understood that it was a misdiagnose. I explained this is a car I am giving to my daughter and the Service manager asked if I would leave car and she could try to see what was under warranty. Long story short it needed a engine and They really stepped up to the plate. I paid only for the engine but at a discount that i was happy with. I will absolutely recommend any place if that will step up and take care of the customer in this type of situation.
