A friend took his car in for an oil change and tire rotation. He marked the tires to make sure the tires were rotated. They were NOT rotated. When he brought this to the attention of the manager, the manager stated "we were running behind" Do you really think they need to be rotated?" And they charged him for the rotation !!! I wouldn't let this shop check the air in my tires.

EXTREMELY disappointed with coming here. I was out of town when my check engine light came on so i took it to this location in ABQ. I took my Toyota Camry to the Auto Zone directly next to the Pep Boys location for a free diagnostic test before bringing it here to see the issue wrong with my check engine light being on. I then brought to here to this Pep Boys location and showed them the issue Auto Zone picked up which had an issue to do with my spark plugs. Pep boys let me know they would run their own diagnostic and get it done. They ended up calling me back and telling me they needed to change an oil filter cap for $20. After questioning that this was all that needed to be done, they ensured me everything was fine and that my check engine light was off. I was able to make it back on a 7 hour drive by MYSELF back to Tucson where i live and my light ended up coming back on. So, i took it yo another Pep Boys location in Arizona where they told me that you guys misdiagnosed me and the issue was a LOT more severe wnd an issue that would cost over $900 before they deducted some money off due to a misdiagnosis from THIS negligence. I’m very disappointed in the negligence i received from this location- especially given the fact that i told them what the issue was and what they should look at before i even handed them over my keys. They let me drive 7 hours between states by myself when the issue was a lot more severe. They were lazy, unprofessional, and negligent. I will not be returning here and will not recommend this location to anyone else.

Irresponsible and showing signs of fraud. They will try to exaggerate your car’s issues to take as much money as possible from you. When their mistakes are pointed out, they will do a sloppy job just to finish, with no hesitation to damage your car further. If you care about your car and your wallet, I advise you not to have your car repaired here. After their quick fix, you will have the same problem again in three days, and then you’ll have to buy a brand new part to replace the one that was “fixed.”

Not only did they get me in and taken care of the same day, they worked with me to get my repairs done within my budget and put on cartoons for my granddaughter to keep her occupied while the work was being completed. My car has been running so much better since this emergency stop, and I will make this my first stop next time I need to get work done.

Monica, the assistant manager, was wonderful. I had an accident and stopped by right after it happened. She was so kind and helpful. I left my car there and she very kindly gave me a ride home. She is the best!! Very professional. Pep Boys is lucky to have her as an employee.

Went for an oil change and within about a month I noticed my car had developed a small oil leak. The leak got progressively worse, so I asked my mechanic to take a look at it when I had them do some other work. Turns out when my oil was changed at the Pep Boys on Coors and Montaño they had reused the oil drain plug and wrapped it in teflon tape. Clearly this location used mechanics who are improperly trained or simply don’t care.

oh my God, I can’t even begin to say what a lifesaver Pep Boys is. I was out doing my normal delivery rounds when I curb checked the curb and blew My front left tire I don’t live in the city I live in west of Albuquerque so the thought of going home on a rough interstate with a donut was a little scary and annoying thankfully Mona, which I’m guessing the manager here told me she will wait for me even though they close early at 6 PM. She will wait for me within 10 to 15 minutes to get there and she did they took my car in and they literally got it done within 1520 minutes. Thank you mona and pep boys

I brought my car in to have the brakes and front end checked out. To my surprise they told me the brakes just needed cleaning and the front end was fine. No charge for the inspection. I appreciate the honesty and will be back for all my future work.

I went in for an a/c diagnostic and recharge, they put dye, refilled the ac and said there were no leaks, less than a week later my car was blowing hot air again. I called in and some lady told me they can check it again but it was probably blowing hot air because of the new compressor I purchased last summer. They looked at my car and stated there were still no leaks then gave me an estimate for over $1,000 for a new compressor and labor. I took my vehicle to another mechanic and they saw the leak right away with the dye that Pep boys put in. Pep boys charged to refill my ac even though there was a visible leak, then misdiagnosed for a second time.

Today I had an appointment at 10:30am for oil change, I arrived 10 minutes late due to personal situations. When the employee arrived he only told me that I missed the appointment. He did not make any kind of arrangements to be able to do the service, he only let me go, worse service of the city I do not recommend it.

Never received an apology or confirmation that they screwed up for messing up a simple tire patch. Took two techs THREE tries to get it right (after giving us our car back with an active leak because they couldn’t figure out how to patch it on the first go around). Stay away if you value your safety. Also, Moana has zero customer service skills.

Super helpful above anything else! The front desk woman was very kind and was able to get me in quickly to patch up a tire. My technician was Steven and he was super kind and really quick. Was an overall great experience. I would totally recommend this location.

I was stressed out with my battery dying I called several places people didn’t have the battery or not very nice. But Mona from the moment I called helped me was very friendly and helpful in every way definitely relaxed me. I was in and out within 30 mins.

Took my vehicle in for an alignment. They did a poor job and ruined a nearly brand new pair of front tires from how poorly it was aligned. They were down to cords in 3 months. Took it back in. Same issue again. Another brand new set of tires severely worn after only 1000 miles despite their reassurance that there wouldn't be any tire wear from the slight misalignment. They also irreparably damaged my brand new control arm.

Had a nail in my tire and my car was losing air. End of the day when most places were closing. Ignacio at Coors and Montaño location put on my spare for me quickly and efficiently. Customer service at this location excellent.

I can not express how much this team at Pep BOYS at Montano are true professionals and care about the customer. Gabe, Tim and Steven all went out of their way to make sure I had the BEST possible experience. After having a horrendous experience elsewhere, they truly mitigated my issues for another company's poor treatment. THANK YOU GUYS A MILLION!!

I would like to give a big shout-out to Gabe and Steven for working on my truck. I went in the a few day before and someone else said they did not have the filter for my diesel truck and had to order it. When I went back in the next day I spoke with Gabe and he said the last person I talked to didn't get it order and he helped me out in getting everything my truck needed and Steven did the oil change. Thank you guys for setting everything straight.

Ignacio was super super cool, I had a last minute tire emergency and the staff was very warming very welcoming and were able to help me at the last second despite being close to closing. If I could give 10 stars instead of five I would definitely recommend 👌

Thank you to the amazing employees who were working closing on the 25th of May. I didn’t get their names, but they saved my day. Getting a flat tire in today’s economy can cause so much anxiety and they fixed it in a flash! Truly an example of just good humans.

The attendant that was running reception told me misinformation multiple times. At first he said they would have to hold on to my car for 3 to 4 days to do a one hour diagnosis because the insurance company silver Rock requires that. Silver Rock denied that this was a requirement and when I told that to the attendant he told me that it would take 3 to 4 hours to do the one hour diagnosis. 40 minutes later he was done with the diagnosis and sent me on my way. I then found out that he submitted no diagnosis to the insurance company and pep boys shows no information for me coming on that day at all. It was a waste of my time.

Young men were nice and helpful. I taken other cars there prior. PB needs to invest in a bigger office space and waiting area for them & customers that wish to wait. Other than that satisfied. I'll let you know how long it takes for my motor mounts to get handled...warranty repair. So we'll see. JT
