I recently had my car repaired here and I couldn't be happier! A huge shout-out to manager Carlos, who was incredibly helpful in figuring out exactly what needed to be fixed. He was honest and upfront, and didn't try to push any unnecessary services on me. The brake job they did was fantastic. My car now stops smoothly and gently!! I also want to thank the mechanic who worked on my car as well – they both did a great job. The prices were very reasonable, and I will definitely be returning for any future car repairs.

Came in this morning right at 8:15 for a top off because my oil was showing low. They acted completely dumbfounded on the word top off and they were making me make an appointment for later in the day for a top off. There is way way way better companies out there to go and have your oil serviced do not go here. Meanwhile, sitting at next-door advanced auto parts having to go in and get oil even though they’re the ones I pay for oil changes

Carlos the manager at west central avenue NM I came here a rental car oil change requirement, he was at the front desk we already talk on phone. I just walk in and I got the best costumer service in my life , I travel a lot but he is the best he really care , and every information and communication with my rental company it was so professional. Had my car towed to Pep Boys on Central, the mechanics on duty reassured me and they made me feel like the had my best interest in mind. They had my car ready the next day!

On 8/28 I called this place and talked to a male employee and made an appointment for 8/29 for 3pm. The employee told me not to be late. I asked the emplyee how long will it take because this is important for me since I have to go to work after. He said 1 1/2 hours. Well today at 8/29 at 2:55pm I show up with my lifetime alignment, the lady at the counter tells me that the employee is scheduled to go to lunch which now it will take 2 1/2 hours. I told her Im unable to do that thats why I asked the guy the previous day because i'll be going to work. Thats why I made an appointment and asked. She then turns around and asked me if I want to re-schedule. Why would I reschedule if they don't honor it. I would not recommend this place since they either dont honor the appointment you made or they just didnt want to honor the lifetime allignment. Don't waste you time coming here or buying a lifetime alignment.

Do not recommend. Pep Boys advertises air checks, but staff refused my wife when she asked. Staff stated that “she could check it herself.” She was neither rude nor disrespectful, she just asked where to park for the air check. This establishment was blatantly lazy or biased towards people of a certain group.

I took my car in for an AC check to Pep Boys on Central. The manager was very respectful and helpful through the whole process. They charged my AC and now I am back to having to wear a jacket in the car again with the cold air! Even found out that I had a bad cell in my car battery.I would definitely go there again!

This is the third time I’ve been here and still impressed by the service the manager, Carlos and his team provide this time I needed to utilize my warranty and they went above and beyond to search for the paperwork. Make sure there were no additional cost for me. In addition to that, his interaction with customers ahead of me was fantastic, and I could tell they were pleased with his professionalism and attention to their needs even when the first attempt to solve their needs fell through, Carlos found a more than suitable alternative solution that they were excited to receive. Definitely recommend and will be coming back for all of my vehicles. Thank you, Carlos.

Stopped by at 6:30 pm sign and website says open till 7pm. Doors locked and lights off. Asked clerk at neighboring store.. apparrently this is common for this location. Zero stars.

I used to visit the Juan Tabo location, but I gave this one a try since I moved. Non existent customer service, and lazy workers. The online system needs work also. Why let me set up an appointment to be told As soon as I walk in how busy they are and they may not get to it? They seemed to get an attitude when I chose to wait anyway, and took as slow as possible even after telling me it would be done asap. After 45 mins I let them have their way and I left so they could continue chit chatting in the office while 1 tech worked.

I had a 9am appointment for back brakes, drums resurface, and brake fluid. Didn't get the car bad until almost 2:50pm. Then as I'm driving home, I almost crashed 3 times because the brakes wouldn't engage properly. I immediately took it back, and they took another 2 hours to fix whatever they didn't do the first time. Barely have a damn that they were almost responsible for wrecking my car. And now the engine is running funny, but I'm not certain if I'm being paranoid, or if it's something on their end. Given some previous reviews, it's likely that they messed something else up

I’ve taken my vehicle to PepBoys (West Central in Albuquerque, NM) on numerous occasions being a rideshare contractor & each time I’ve had top notch service from Carlos, Bryan & their team, even providing advice on services they do not offer. In this day & age of ‘questionable’ mechanics, this crew has provided me with unquestioned peace of mind & I’ll remain a customer for life 👍🏾.
