Pep Boys got me in quickly, ran diagnostics on my AC, solved the problem and got it cooling again. Very professional and friendly. I absolutely would recommend their service.

Came in knowing my tire had something stuck in it, was ready for a replacement and had looked up prices for a new tire for my vehicle (65-100) prior to visit. 20 minutes go buy and they told me I had a screw that was too close to the side wall to do a patch- I was a little disappointed but i trusted that the mechanics knew what they were doing. The guy at the counter proceeded to tell me the replacement was $220 FOR ONE TIRE, FOR A CHEVY TRAX. I'm not sure if they were just after money, or if it was the fact that I came later in the day- but two hundred and twenty dollars for a single tire is absurd. Would not reccomend this place to my worst enemy.

The staff are professional and trust worthy. I’ve been having issues with my steering wheel shaking and have had to looked at twice by brake check/paid for 2 unnecessary alignments. When I took my car here to Pep boys only to find out that the alignment wasn’t the issue. The mechanics brought me out and showed me the problem/walked me through what I need to have done. I’m no mechanic but even I know you shouldn’t be able to wobble my wheel with your hands. Finding trustworthy mechanics is tragically difficult! I am so grateful to have found them here, so that I can finally be worry free that my car wont break down on me or get into a wreck. I would definitely recommend this pep boys location for your car repair needs!

An appointment doesn’t mean anything if it’s scheduled online I guess. Had an 11am appointment, show up, they say they have 1 technician and 3 cars a head of me. Just go somewhere else, Kremko on S congress is great.

An appointment doesn’t mean anything. I had to wait about 2 hours for a tire rotation. Restrooms are extremely dirty. Coffee machine is out of order. No water or any drinks while waiting.

First time here.. 09 f150 I knew I needed all 4 rotors and brake pads coming in. Inspection was free of charge. All cool. Until I was quoted $1400 plus for the repairs(that's with a discount on the labor), and I said no, thank you. I was told to get it done or call a tow truck. Like i was risking imminent death! If I didn't know any better, I'd be terrified. TAKE MY MONEY! Haha They did show me what I needed fixed. I just think scare tactics suck. Jed, the mechanic, was great. Could lose the attitude. 2 out of 5 for me.

I booked an appointment for 2pm, when I got there I was told it would be a 2hr+ wait because the system allowed for booking on top of already existing appointments. What's the point of making an appointment then?? Kudos to Wayne though, he was way friendly and apologetic about the whole thing.

They damaged my vehicle and tried fixing it prior to notifying me of the damage. After they were unable to fix it, they claimed it was preexisting and forgot to notify me prior to attempting to fix it. A state inspection was performed the day prior, if preexisting the state inspection would have failed. Very dishonest people working there.

Absolutely the worst service imaginable for a simple oil change. Right off the bat, tries to immediately overcharge me and get me to swipe my card on a 40% increase before any work is done. I ask for more information. He chuckles and says no. I say the pep boys website has quotes. I show him the website. He chuckles again and says it’s not their website, while the sign right behind in big red letters says “Pep Boys”. I don’t recommend anyone go here. Not only was it false advertising but the quality of service puts a bad taste in your mouth. I couldn’t even ask questions. I'd rather pay extra than be treated like that.

Eddie was very helpful and knowledgeable! Definitely bringing my car back to be serviced here. Edited to one star. I brought my vehicle here for an engine coil issue. They had to replace/fix the engine coil twice because it wasn't properly installed the first time. When my car wasn't working again, I brought it back and was told that it was an electrical issue with my engine. When I took it to the dealership, they told me that the engine coil had not been properly installed. No electrical issue. Thankfully, the dealership had sympathy, but I still had to pay the diagnostic fee.

Pep Boys is by far, my place of choice when my vehicle needs service or repair, in City of Austin, or anywhere. Let Me Be Clear! Today, I will only let Pep Boys work on my car, when complex service or repair is required. Pep Boys provide superior service and superior diagnostic and repair solutions, at prices I can afford, even with my fixed monthly income. I don't think there is any symptom or diagnosis that Pep Boys can't resolve or fix. Those guys are awesome, and deserve my highest rating, 5 stars plus

This place is kinda hit or miss. Sometimes I go and Im treated great. Sometimes I go and I get treated rudely. Kind of depends in who's at the desk. I dont understand why they have apppointments online, if they are useless. Made an appointment, arrived, and was told the appointment system makes appointments on top of appointments so they couldnt take me and was rude about it. If thats the case, dont tell me my appointment is confirmed when I make it. Instead suggest making it so many days before and wait for them to confirm it. As far as the actual service on my car goes, no complaints. Best to go first thing in the morning, beforw they get cranky.

S Lamar location (no longer open) stripped threads during oil change which caused my oil to leak slowly. Found this out recently when my car stopped on the road. Do not recommend.

Scheduled online for alignment, balance and rotation. Upon arrival wad told it would take 3hrs which wasn't gonna work for me and the manger said the alignment could be done pretty quick so I went with just the alignment. When I got the car back I got in it and soon as I pulled out the parking lot i realized the steering wheel was crooked so of course went right back. Went in and told the manager and he's like you got to be kidding me and sticks his hand out for the keys. No apology or anything. While handing him the keys I asked about a copy of the before and after measurements to which he said they must not have put it in the folder. I wait about 20 mins and a young mechanic comes and says you the one with the Camry and hands me the keys and print out of measurements to which all the before measurements are filled in but half the current ones are blank. To top it off there was a charge of 9.99 as well for misc. Shop supplies to which I asked what that was and was told everyone gets charges that. Car still doesn't feel right but needless to say I won't ever be going to Pepboys at any location again and will have to take it to get alignment checked somewhere else as I know it's still off. Ridiculous do yourself a favor and stay away from the one on Research for sure
