I had a great experience with this Pep Boys location today. I had a low tire pressure indicator. I checked and added more pressure to all four tires and the indicator did not clear. I went to Pep Boy and asked the service rep (Dylan) to replace all my tire sensors, because my car is 9 years old and I figured my sensors batteries were exhausted. Dylan told me he wants to check it out before replace all my tire pressure sensors. After 10 minutes, the service rep Dylan came back and told me that he added a little more air pressure to the recommended tire pressure settings, and the low tire pressure indicator cleared. No charge. Now that's what I called great honest service!!! It's refreshing to see that! Going forward, I would have no problem taking my car there for service!

This is the second time that the mechanic did not install all the screws for the underside shroud, the first time I had to remove the two remaining screws and remove it completely to bring it back to be installed correctly. 2 strikes and after over 4 years of coming here, I am looking for a new shop. Bakersfield on Rosedale.

I have 2 favorite Pep Boys locations that I have been relying on for great service with integrity, since 1969. One is in Hollywood, where I went to Hollywood High, with a superstar football star, by the name of Fred Lima. What’s unique about this very popular guy, is that he was a barefoot kicker, when he graduated, and played for one of those well-known colleges in Colorado. He also was a fixture at the downtown Hollywood Pep Boys for several years, and encouraged me to get my 1972 Pinto Runabout modified there, so it wouldn’t explode 🤯 in a rear-end collision. That 4 cylinder car lasted for another 20 year years or so, thanks to Fred… a perfect representative for that repair facility and parts store. Now…let’s fast-forward to 2024. I’m in the comfortable waiting room of the Pep Boys, in Green Acres (Bakersfield/Rosedale), on the historic Highway 58…head west…go to The Pacific Ocean…head east…go to Vegas and beyond! You can be sure that they’ll get you to either one of those locations, safely and comfortably. They will do alignments with Monroe shocks and struts, but only if you need them, at a price that is way cheaper than the dealership that you purchased your car with. I recommend the lifetime alignment warranty. The friendly and highly knowledgeable, front desk service writers, Jesus, Shawn, and Dylan will make sure that you are 100% satisfied with your repair, just like Manny, Moe and Jack did when they opened their first store!

I needed help checking on my vehicle status since I do multiple businesses and doing Uber, and they took care of everything I needed help with. The employee staff that worked today assisted me in a well-mannered and respectful employee, and the mechanics did an amazing job and showed me full service as a 5 star experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Glad I waited around for 2 hours to be told they can’t do a rotation or alignment because my truck is too big. Certified waste of time and when I told them how I’d like my rotation they guy decided to argue with me about why I want it the way I do and proceeded to tell me how they will do it (very argumentatively) telling me it would be done they exact way that I wanted it done but they can’t do it my way. So basically it was clear as mud. Much appreciated. Thanks guys great job.

I don’t usually ever do reviews but with the dedication and commitment your employee Dylan has to giving the best customer service, I made an exception. First things first I went in for a quote on tires and the first thing I walked in to was a very warm welcome from your staff Shaun and Dylan! My scheduled appointment was on time and completed in a timely manner. Pricing was competitive for services rendered. The manager was courteous and informative providing a quote for additional needed services. The waiting area was comfortable and equipped with a Keurig coffee maker. I will be returning to Pep Boys for routine maintenance on my vehicle.

Worst possible service imaginable. Go anywhere for a new tire EXCEPT pep boys. 2+ hours on hold to tell me they don't have my tire after it was supposed to have been ordered last month.

Dylan at Pep Boys went out of his way to help my daughter and I get a replacement tire for her car. He checked out tires when we noticed some wobbly driving - found a huge safety problem and immediately went to work to find her tires at another store open on Sunday - he was so courteous and kind and helpful! I came in to get a simple tire repair got told it was going to be 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour wait. When coming back saw a working just sitting in my car. Waited another 30 mins and still nothing. Waiting an hour then got told they didn’t have my tire and they have to pick it up at another location. 3 hours later and I still don’t have my car. I get it the car is a rental but I still have things I have to do instead of waiting for one tire replacement

My mom went to this pep boys to get her oil changed only to find out that they didn't touch it cause the oil plug was stuck and would damage the oil pan if done. Well it wouldn't have been so bad if they weren't keeping us there waiting for 2&1/2 hours and charged her the full price oil change when all they did was put oil in the engine and send us on our way saying we'll have the part for you right away but keep playing slow when the insurance already cleared it on the phone when called to let them know we were told that the insurance is giving them a hard time but it seems to me that the management is in need of an internal investigation cause another man complained of similar things but was basically buttered up so he would calm down I will not recommend this location to anyone and hope that other pep boys are not as bad with time and item management

My wife's car was squealing when you pressed on the brakes. She took it to this Pep Boys and they said that they changed the brake pads. It was still squeaking so we brought it back. They kept for a day, gave it back, said they found nothing wrong with it. So I took it to Big Brand Tire who showed us that are brake pads were metal to metal, the pads on them were still the factory ones meaning they were never changed, and they also said the control arms were shredded. Pep Boys did nothing and still charged us.
