Wont pull codes for check engine lights for free even though they literally advertise that they will on their website. Staff told me my only option to get the codes was if I got a $99 diagnostic. Id literally go anywhere else if I were you.

Matt was a sweetheart. He immediately diagnosed my car & handled everything, even taught me a little bit about my car. I would be back for all my car needs regularly if I still lived in Jax. Instead, I’d recommend this location & Matt to everyone else.

Service was excellent I came in 30 minutes before closing they never turn me away at a huge nail in my tire I was out of there before they close at 7:00.

I was told an hour and a half for an oil change and a tire patch. 3 hours later I’m told they’re almost done. First and last time for me.

Took my car in this morning because of squeaking noise; I wasn’t sure if my serpentine belt was loose or if I needed a new one. After about 2 hours, I received a call telling me about some things that were found during the complimentary inspection and then told me that I needed a new serpentine belt and the cost would be $290… When I had it changed at the Toyota dealership 2 years ago it didn’t even cost that much. Needless to say my car is still squeaking… Thank you but No thanks Pepboys!!!

I got a flat tire on I-95 and these guys took us in right away. They are kind, friendly and very generous. I would highly recommend!

Took my car here for a fuel gauge repair, they told me it was the fuel pump so I replaced it. The fuel gauge was still broken and my car was pouring gas, I took it back and they charged me $400 to replace the seal. Got it replaced and still no fuel gauge. Took it back and they said it was a bad instrument cluster so I needed to take it to an electrical shop, when I asked where because I’m not from the area, they said “oh we don’t know”. Took it to another shop and that’s not at all what’s wrong with it, my car needed a new fuel sending unit. Now I’m having to pay an extra $1k in fees to get the fuel pump replaced again because they didn’t seal it like they were supposed to and left a bunch of broken parts in the gas tank. I should’ve known when we got there and they had the owners manual out to fix my boyfriend’s headlight…..if you don’t know what you’re doing, that’s fine, but don’t tell me you do and make my car worse.

im only giving 3 stars because of the man at the front desk he was very nice, helpful and even gave me a discount. the other 2 stars aren’t there for the 2 1/2 hours i wasted sitting in pep boys while i got absolutely zero updates on my car and all they had to do was look at the ac! it was ridiculous, i was there until after closing time. i did say i would wait with the car but i didn’t think to get my ac checked it would take over 2 hours. :/

Exceptional Service ! From the moment i stepped in the door i was treated with phenominal customer service by Matt . Went above & beyond . He explained everything thoroughly , made sure to answer all questions asked , followed up the entire process through . They diagnosed the problem and my AC is working again thanks to the Pep Boys Team . 100/100

So I don't leave reviews, like ever. But my experience with Pep Boys on Baymeadows has just been amazing, thanks to Matt and his co-workers. I have had incredible customer service, care & honesty within the last 3 days of having to get my car serviced. Definitely ask for Matt if you're looking to schedule an appointment and talk to someone who really cares about you.

Took my work truck in on Saturday morning. Was told to bring it back on Sunday morning for a routine oil change. Dropped it back off on Sunday morning. Called them at about 3 pm. Was told they did not and would not be able to get to it until Monday. Offered no apology. I'm just one customer working for a company with over 3,000 vehicles in the fleet and a national account. Will never return again and will highly recommend no one implementing their services. Piss poor to say the very least.

Life can get complicated. I had to miss my appointment time, but instead of it causing a problem with the manager, he grabbed my key and got to work. Before I would ever have expected, he pointed to my car at the front door - completed! He just smiled - are you kidding me! This was great service. Way more than expected... Thank you Pep Boys.
