Had an issue with the lights deeming and fan not blowing air at a steady rate. Called ahead, got an appointment for just after noon, took the van in and they had it diagnosed quickly. A new alternator, tensioner and belt were needed on the high mileage van (220K+ miles) and they fixed it before the end of the day. Well Done.

I had scheduled an appointment at 9am, and when I got there, they said the computer had it at 1030 so I had to wait until that time for them to start. The associate up front told me that they were gonna get me in as soon as possible since I was there already, so I had hope I would leave soon. I was having 4 tires swapped and balanced, and yet it took 5 hours to do that. Good deal on tires but the installation costs you

I was in this store about 3 weeks ago to have tires installed and an alignment performed. The service was prompt and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The only problem that I ran into was once they finished my tires the alignment rack stopped working and would not raise or lower so unfortunately I had to go somewhere else to get the alignment done. The staff actually had to turn down 2 more alignments while I was there. It's a shame that a good crew was having to turn away work due to faulty equipment. So, to whoever makes the call on equipment, get your guys a new rack so they don't have to turn away work. As long as this crew keeps working as they did while I was there a new rack will pay for itself. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this store to others.

I had a tire issue on a Sunday. They were open, accepted my car even though they were extremely busy and got the job done for a very reasonable price. Jon and Janet were a big help and kept me posted to the progress of my tire issue. Thank you for being there when I needed you. The car diagnostic which goes along as a free service is also outstanding.

Great thanks to Shaun today for helping me out. I had an appointment for 11am and was able to get in a little early when I stopped by sooner. I waited for less than an hour and my car was done. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, especially Shaun. 5 stars and my car feels much better now!

I was stuck on the road with a blown out tire. Got towed to pep boys in Knoxville and they couldn’t have been nicer, more professional and helpful. Even though it was Sunday evening they stayed, got the job done and were super nice about staying until everything was done. Highly recommend!

service is beyond disappointing. I been here for over an 3 hour just for change tire, find out they haven't even started . It's frustrating that customer services suck didn't inform us 😭 I'm not encourage you coming to this place I went to discount tires better serviced better prices

Called ahead made an appointment was there on time for just tires to be installed and balanced. I brought in my own tires brand new. I've worked in the same industry and know this job should take an hour to complete which the guy at the front desk also said it'll be about an hour. Well 3.5 hours later I got my truck back and start driving back home and once I start on the highway my truck is shaking because obviously the tires weren't balanced correctly. I called back once I made it home to tell them and they made me make another appointment to fix the problem. I came in for the 2nd appointment and said I only had 1 hour to do this because I had to take time off work a 2nd time. 1.5 hours later I got my keys and found out my car was ready a while ago but no one bothered to tell anyone that it was so I wasted about 30 minutes sitting there and wondered if that's the same thing that happened the first time. That lady at the front has terrible customer service she seemed annoyed when I asked her about my car a couple times. At the end of it all my tires are still shaking which tells me they don't know or have terrible equipment to balance them. I have to go somewhere else to get them balanced correctly. I truly regret giving them my business. Stay clear. I would recommend Dave's commercial tires on rutlege

Had been going regularly there to get maintenance performed on my VW. Bought a nicer car, and felt like the employees were trying to scam me once I brought it in for maintenance/tires. I found another business willing to do the same for a few hundred less. Additionally, the one time I tried going back, I waited 2 hours after my scheduled appointment but never got my car taken back. The manager apologized, but didn’t really provide a solution.

I needed some tires mounted and an alignment after lifting my vehicle, I spoke with Shaun over the phone and set up an appointment. Shaun and the rest of the crew had my vehicle in and out in a timely manner and done a great job!! They definitely have a returning customer.

Do not keep appointment times or provide updates of delay in getting an oil change. Took it to Valvoline on Asheville Highway and was in and out in 21 minutes and never left my car.

I highly recommend this location to anyone in the area. First, it is important to recognize that car repairs are expensive. More often than not they are gonna hurt your wallet and leave you weeping at the price tag. Not much can be done about that—it’s just the nature of the beast. While there is not much that can be done about the cost, we can, however, choose to pay those costs at deserving establishments. The staff at the Centerline Pep Boys make this auto-repair shop a business worthy of your support. The professional mechanics at this location are well versed in the crafts of vehicle maintenance and repair, and will service your vehicle in a timely and proficient manner. However, it is the level of customer service offered by the employees at this location, which far exceed what any reasonable person could expect, that makes this location standout above the rest. In the past two weeks I have brought in both of my vehicles for tire replacement. The first time I came in was after the back driver-side wheel of my truck *exploded* on my way to work. I had to be towed in to the shop to have the tire replaced. Since my phone battery was at 3% I could not call ahead or make sure that they would be able to service my vehicle that day. Needless to say, I found myself in the eye of a perfect storm; my day was not off to a good start and by the time I arrived at the Pep Boys I was completely frazzled. The staff at the Centerline location, however, greeted me immediately and went into action helping to get my truck (and my day) back on track. Shawn, a mechanic, helped me with finding the right tire size and the lowest price possible for that tire. He did not try to upsell me into buying the top of the line product, nor did he judge me for having a very limited budget. He just answered my questions in an honest manner and scheduled my replacement. Janet, the customer service representative who works at the front desk, is pure sunshine. She offered me a chord to charge my phone and showed me where I could find an outlet in the waiting area to charge my phone. She is remarkably kind and very willing to jump in and give anyone a helping hand—customers and staff. After replacing my truck tire, Kainin, another mechanic, closed my ticket and took my payment. He was jovial and helped me schedule an appointment for the following week to get all four tires on my car replaced. He gave me a price quote, booked me in for a slot in the late afternoon when I got off work, and remained friendly during the entire interaction—despite the fact that I kept asking new questions. When I returned to this location the following week, I was pleasantly surprised to see all three employees—Shawn, Janet, and Kainin—were working. Immediately, they greeted me and helped calm down my perpetually skattered brain. Shawn honored the previous price I was quoted even though the special was no longer running and that task required him to do maths. Janet, helpful as always, told me where to go to get a pop and helped me relax by just offering some small talk and a smile. Kainin then walked me next door and bought my drink. When it is all said and done, you cannot find a nicer staff in Knoxville! I know they have made me a loyal customer, and I truly believe they should be recognized by corporate Pep Boys for going above and beyond to make their customers feel welcomed, to provide excellent service, and make the sting of cost repairs not hurt as much.

We needed 4 new tires on a Sunday and Pep Boys on 4770 Centerline Drive in Knoxville did an amazing job. They were able to put them on the same day. Janet, Joseph, Shaun, and Steven were awesome. Thank you!!! I will recommend Pep Boys to everyone.

What could have been a pretty serious issue, yesterday our granddaughter blew a tire on the interstate. Luckily she was able to pull over and thankfully wasn't involving any kind of a wreck because of it. The tires weren't old the air pressure was correct also. They were barely a year or so old... So the only thing we can figure is she must have hit something she didn't see in the road.. So it wasn't due to bad tires.. We had her towed to pep boys by East Town here in Knoxville and in a relatively short period of time. Maybe 2 hours 2 and 1/2 hours. We were able to be back on our way with her having a new tire on.. They were great. They did their job. They're friendly. They're easy to talk with and I really feel that that length of time was fairly reasonable. Being that her grandfather is a mechanic and he was at work there wasn't much he could do and if he can't do it he trusts pep boys to do it. Thankfully she had road hazard and that helped a bunch so our Bill didn't turn out to be all that much.. Even the service mechanic was great. Very friendly. Talked to our granddaughter. Told her about the tire pressure and the fact that this tire did not have a sensor because it got blowed.. What I liked is that he talked to her not at her and I really do appreciate that from a mechanic.. We've used pep boys in the past, especially this one here and will continue to use pep boys when needed
