Made 9am appointment and I was the first car in for a nail repair in my tire. 930am, bays doors closed, no cars being serviced and multiple people in lobby. Thank you to the excellent service provided by Larry multiple people walked away due to Larry’s inability to run the business

I had a disappointing experience at Pep Boys today, 11/18/24, at 3:00 pm. I arrived for a scheduled appointment to have my battery changed and was assisted by Alex. She informed me it was company policy for there to be a two-hour wait, even with a scheduled appointment. This made no sense to me—if an appointment is set, I expected to be helped at the scheduled time. Alex’s attitude was dismissive, and when I asked to speak to her manager, she claimed she could only leave a message for them. Frustrated, I called another Pep Boys location and spoke to store manager Tom, who was professional, friendly, and assured me their location prioritizes helping customers on time. Additionally, prior to my interaction, Alex was on the phone with another customer and rudely told them they were talking too fast before hanging up. She then laughed about it in front of other customers, which was highly unprofessional. Eventually, I spoke with the area manager, Tony (who Alex initially claimed was the store manager). Tony was understanding, expedited the service, and offered a 20% discount to make up for the poor service. This review is intended as feedback for management to use as a coaching opportunity for Alex. Professionalism and customer service are critical, and if delays like a two-hour wait are unavoidable, a courtesy call before the appointment would have been appreciated so we could reschedule. The overall experience could have been better handled, and I hope to see improvements in the future.

I got great service at Pep Boys!! I needed new tires on my Nissan Sentra. I spoke with a guy named Larry over the phone at least three or four times the day prior to going in. He was very helpful and answered all my questions when I went in the next day Larry had all my information, and he had the tires I chose ready to go. He was just as courteous and helpful in person as he was over the phone. They did a great job with my car. When I need more work done on my car, I will return for sure. Tony at Pep Boys on Lake Mead could not of been nicer with the exchange of the battery for my husbands car. He encouraged my husband to come back and have the car tested.. Great Service.

Wow! Amazing customer experience. Tony and Larry are true professionals. Its astonishing that I ended up at their store as a result of being kicked out of another Pep Boys a few miles away. Night and day different. 5 starts here and zero stars there. I had purchased a new battery at 90-days ago from the Rancho location and today it died. Turns out I was sold a battery that was not well suited for my Honda. Tony diagnosed the problem, ordered a new appropriate battery, and had me on my way. Still hard to believe that both locations are the same Brand in the same region and managed by the same boss. I recommend Tony and his crew unconditionally. Stay away from the Rancho location. Thank you
