DO NOT GO HERE. They flat out lied to me on 1/30. Had to have my car sent there after an issue. They look at it in the morning and claim i have all these issues. I took it to my trusted mechanics (T&D Auto Centre in Hawthorne - WORTH IT) and they told me Pepboys flat out lied. Everything that didn’t have to do with my coolant hose was FINE. No problems at all. Cost me $850, while Pepboys was going to charge $2300. Dishonest people here. BOTTOM LINE - THEY LIE ABOUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR CAR AND TRY TO OVERCHARGE YOU

I have a new 2025 Nissan Leaf. All four tires pressure went low. I added air and all was ok except right back. It dropped below where it was prior to adding air. We made an appointment online at 4 pm and scheduled a appontment at 6pm. These guys at Pep Boys at the end of a long day could not have been more friendly and professional. We left the car and he promised to take a look at the tire before they left for the evening. As promised, they called and let us know there was a wood screw in the tire and it would need to be replaced. He offered two options that he could get. One tire was 123.00 and another was over 200.00. I told him my wife drives less than two miles to work everyday and he agreed the lower price tire would be perfectly ok. I got a text which lets you track the progress and informs you who your service rep is. It estimates the ready time. My estimate was 9:00am. I called at 9:05 and was told my car was ready. This whole process could not have been better. Oh yeah, the night before,my wife said, so I just hand you my key and we get no receipt. He laughed and said man, this is pep boys. We have been around for 50 years. You have nothing to worry about. Manny Moe and Jack would be so proud.

If I could only give them negative stars! Terrible customer service with terrible people working there! I was waiting for 15 minutes to just check my tires and then they said they cant do it! This is the worst pepboys by far!

They no longer sell auto parts, and they are curt on the phone. I don't know what they do now, but it's probably best to avoid them.

I made an appointment to get my headlight replaced. My wife went down there and was told it would be a 2-4 hour wait plus a lot of money for the basic replacement. Jay was able to get her in and out for a more reasonable price.

Really nice place :) I came here to get my tire pressure checked and air filled and the tech Luis helped me out. He was very friendly and nice and gave great service. I didn’t have to wait or anything and he helped calibrate the car as well. I really appreciated him helping me out so quickly and nicely!

I tried the dealer to service my car before a trip. The earliest I could schedule was a month out. I checked Pep Boys and was able to bring my car in next day and serviced the same day. In addition, they helped me buy tires and Pep Boys installed them the day they were delivered. I really needed to get it done quickly and Pep Boys made it happen. They also sent pictures of rotors brakes etc with their estimate.

Needed new tires and they had an incredible sale. Tires arrived on time and I was able to get them installed + an alignment in record time. All of service team with friendly and explained the charges thoroughly. Exceptional experience!

Waste of time and money. Go to Big Brand tires instead. Went there 2 hours before closing to repair a flat with no cars in the bays, they told me I’d have to leave the car overnight! Changed to a spare right in the parking lot and went there 8:00am sharp to fix the tire they said it would take 3 hours. My question is, do these people have any concept of customer service or are they so incompetent that no one wants to work for them. If it is not worth it for them to fix a flat, why do they not just tell you so you go someplace else. Pep boys has lost another customer.

I changed the oil in my car and they finished it very quickly, and they wouldn't give it to me because they were talking and laughing amongst themselves. It's stupid to wait more than 1 hour for nothing.

Jay was rude and unprofessional. The overall customer service at the center is really bad. They did the complimentary inspection and did not find issues with the battery. When I drove the car back, my car battery died just after 2 miles at a gas station and was stuck for 3 hours until tow truck came to jump start. When I returned to the shop, they said this coincidence and did not help with any repair or replacement. The staff here just feel like they hate their job.

Everytime I come to Pep Boys they greet me with a smile and call me by my name. When I tell them what I'm here for they tell me to have a sit and we will have you done in just a minute. That always floats my boat. That's why I stay going to them and will continue to. Thank you Pep Boys.

I called first, and then drove to the Pep Boys on Pico Blvd. in West Los Angeles to hopefully get a light bulb replaced on my car. I arrived to find that only one entrance to the outdoor parking lot was open, the others blocked by plastic chains. There was no parking available in the lot, so I parked nearby on the street. I then went to the Pep Boys service desk to check in, wait until my name was called, and then drive from the street to the Pep Boys service area to hopefully get a light bulb replaced on my car. A male employee insisted that I can't park on the street, only in the lot. All the parking spaces were taken, so the male employee told me to parallel park in the lot -- again refusing to let me park on the street despite only one Pep Boys parking entrance not blocked by chains. I walked out, very disappointed. I then easily and nicely got help at another Pep Boys. An employee said he has heard negative things about Pep Boys on Pico Blvd. in West Los Angeles, including cars sitting in their parking lot for months while more expensive, profitable auto repairs are done first. Pep Boys corporate should instruct the Pep Boys manager on Pico Blvd. in West L.A. to make the parking lot completely accessible, NOT blocking all the entrances and exits with chains except one. THAT HURTS CUSTOMERS AND PEP BOYS' BUSINESS!

I went there to get a new battery for my car not only was the battery itself the price of gold but they wanted a ridiculous service charge for what takes them 5 min to unscrew 2 bolts and put them back which I did myself and but all around didn’t have a great experience there

This review was long overdue, but since I am waiting for the oil change, I thought it’s time to repay everyone who works here with support and a little bit of fluttery :) I come to this Pep Boys for all repairs, ranging from regular upkeeps to major work on an engine. So far, they have done stellar work on four cars I was bringing here, Mercedes, BMW, Toyota and Chevrolet. although they are pretty good with handling emergencies, if you have an opportunity to give them a call and speak with Charles or Anthony about the cost and schedule I would do it before heading there - they are pretty busy.

After I changed the tires the tire pressure sensor were on. The mechanic said that i need to drive for few miles on freeway to reset the sensors. The light hasnt gone after few hours of driving so i got back to the service. The mechanic said that two of my tire sensors got broken. Stating that the sensors were already bad before I brought the car it just wasn’t registered by car. I read the factory manuals and it said that the sensors send data on tire pressure every minute so I would see the sign on my dashboard the minutes after I turned the car on. Its very suspicious that two sensors brake at the same time. How much of the chances. The sensors were fine before I brought the car to the Pepboys, now they claim that they were already broken before I brought the car. Most likely they broke the sensors when changing the tires. Im very disappointed that i decided to bring my car there. Awful place.

Called at 7pm because I had a flat that needed fixed Jay said they closed at 7:00, but if I could come in soon, he would get it repaired. Turned out I needed a new tire but they were still able to take care of that right away. REALLY appreciate the guys helping me out; it would have been a giant headache to deal with it tomorrow morning. Thank you Jay and Charles!! Thank you

The service advisor, Jay, is unwilling to accept that a mistake was made. They installed a different and incorrect part than the one I was invoiced and paid for. When I returned to correct the issue, Jay was rude and not helpful. I do not recommend this location.

Improved work process. Helpful staff. I was concerned that the staff of my previous garage were all new hires and unfamiliar with my car. Pepboys had a detailed history of previous repairs. Car ran better just after an oil change. Thank you.

Jay at this PepBoys location is THE BEST! He truly cares about customers, is kind, knowledgeable and he will go above and beyond to make sure that his customers are taken care of. He thoroughly explains what is needed and why it’s needed. He’s transparent about pricing and doesn’t try and upsell you on unnecessary services. It is invaluable to have a trusted resource advising me on my car maintenance and I’m very grateful for his help. I hope that the higher-ups at Pepboys recognize his outstanding contributions to their team.

I previously had good experience buying Mobil1 oil when it was on sale. But I recently stopped by to recycle used oil and it was a bad experience. I talked to multiple staff and couldn't get any help on recycling oil. Perhaps I didn't seem like a paying customer even though I intended on purchasing new oil during the visit. I got tired of waiting and drove to local Autozone, where it only took me 5 minutes to drop off used oil and buy new oil. REPLY to pepboys: Info you need are in my original review. Please remind you employees that when customers ask to drop off used motor oil, chances are they will also be making purchases afterward. In this instance, you lost a prior customer to Autozone. The next time I need to buy filter, oil or battery, I will be going to Autozone instead
