Great service, if you can get it. This location has done a good job when they’ve serviced my car, but that service may take forever. They accept appointments when they don’t have availability, so you may show up for basic service then wait for several hours before your car is actually serviced. I’d recommend this location only for major service like a full day engine repair, but not for smaller things that should only take a couple hours, like oil changes, AC, batteries, or brakes.

False advertising. Claiming they have low price tires but when you get there they don’t have them. Just a tactic to get you in there and sell you much more expensive tires

I have been taking my cars to the Pep Boys on Fountain Ave. in LA for years. Although the personnel has changed, the people at the counter have always been so helpful and friendly, even at the earliest morning appointments. I don't feel like I'm being sold something I don't need; all the work is explained in terms I can understand. I appreciate not feeling like I'm going to get sold something I don't need or understand. I appreciate their honesty and great customer service.

They don't stand behind their tire warranty. They tried to charge me $35 to tell me the 8 month old tires that were oddly warn would not be covered. Front desk person was half awake, half hating his job.

Wonderful experience Excellent! Service I called they took me in no appointment the wait was short, everything was explained in detailed I never felt pressured or rushed. I will definitely keep coming back and refer new clients also I observed both gentlemen at the counter gave the same Excellent service to other customers 😀

Awful, horrible customer service! I will never go there again! Am also putting a negative review on Yelp! I use to refer people there all the time, but since their staff have changed they are very mean and rude. I will never refer people there again! I will warn them about how rude they are. The mechanic screamed at me yesterday because I parked in a spot that didn't have a no parking sign so I didn't know, when I moved he threw a sign there literally. The guys inside are even worse. Very hostile environment! I have several choices for maintenance on my truck so I will take my business elsewhere and tell people to go elsewhere. This is the Pep Boys on Fountain Ave in LA CA.

The worst Pep Boys station I’ve been to. Yesterday I had my tires changed there. They didn’t check valves for air leakage, so logically this morning one of my tires had 38 instead of 42 psi. I checked that valve with soap water and it was showing leakage. I brought the car in and asked to change the valve quickly. With equipment they have I would do it 4-5 mins. Manager reacted like the only way was to go to the back of the line and follow the procedure. When i asked ETA he mumbled smth like an hour or more. One hour later i wanted to ask that same manager the ETA. He was sleeping in his car. Another manager didn’t know and didn’t try to find out. I asked for my key. He ignored me. I asked a second time. He said I should wait 5 mins until he finishes typing. Final message from him to me was I am not welcome at Pep Boys any more. Driving away to find someone else. They don’t respect you. They don’t respect your time. They don’t respect your wallet.

Truck broke down at job site near this pep boys off fountain. Water pump went out. Asked if they could fix it during my 8 hr shift. Had it ready by the time came off work. Awesome job, fast turnaround, I highly recommend them boys Pep boys

Would give zero stars if I could. Took my car here and was treated with such blatant disrespect that I left. I have never been made to feel more “less than” in my life. Do yourself a favor and take your car to Song’s Automotive at 600 Silverlake Blvd. this experience at this Pep Boys will ensure I never visit a Pep Boys again, even if it is the only option.

guy at the desk was probably the rudest person i’ve ever met. we just asked him some questions and he was so disrespectful, almost like he wanted to fight and was so aggressive. crazy that this is who you guys have represent the brand.

Came in with an AC & engine overheating issue. The front desk guy just wrote $161 on a paper and told me that’s the charge to just look at the car 😂 ridiculous. Take your car to literally any other shop. Scam

Complete scam of a place. Lazy, rude workers who subsequently were over 3 hours late for an appointment I made, and then they lied about the work Ik needed done. Absolute scam of a place.

Did a 120 point inspection. There were only two actual issues that needed attention but they tried to make it sound like everything was urgent. 15 minutes into driving away I start having problems with my clutch and have to have the vehicle towed. They never mentioned any problems about the clutch or transmission. When I call they say to bring it in the morning so the mechanic can look at it. When I come back in the morning they say I have to pay $100 just for them to look at it. I ended up towing my car to another shop because I did not trust they would give me an accurate quote on whatever they found, and overall I did not like the attitude of the employees, except for one but I don’t know his name.

THEY WILL SCAM U. I went for an oil change and they lied and told me I had 2k worth of repairs needed that put my safety at risk. I didn’t really believe them so I took my car to a second mechanic who LAUGHED at their long list of repair recommendations. I only needed a 400 dollar repair. They tried to take advantage of me bc I am young and female. Do not go here

Very slow service. Drop the car at 8am for an oil change and by 6pm still wasn’t finish.. plus very rude answer on why they didn’t do their job. I won’t be coming back even tho I live near by.
