I don't normally do this but I really want to give a shout out to Pep Boys. Chasing wildlife, I normally average about 1,000 miles a week in the Everglades which is 10,000 square miles in the mud, flooded roads, dirt roads and bushwhacking so my truck gets it's share of wear and tear as well as abuse. Shocks, tires, drive train, suspension, belts, compressors, alternators and everything else are subjected to extreme conditions. I've tried a few mechanics but had issues, and then I came across Pep Boys in Calle Ocho, Miami. They are a little far from my house but they are amazing. They are like my pit crew, and typically can fix anything the same day and do great work at a reasonable price. Everyone there is very friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and honest. My worst fear is breaking down 30 miles from the nearest paved road at 2 am (when the panthers come out) being surrounded by alligators. I've been depending on them for the last eight years to keep me moving and they have never let me down. I now have logged over 350,000 miles on the truck and it runs as well as the day I bought it.

One of the worst automotive experiences I’ve had for repairs. I took my 2018 Jaguar in for service consisting of installing two front tires, alignment, and an oil change. I won’t talk about how just because it was a Jaguar the price for the oil change went up $130 to over $200. They broke one of my lug nuts on the car and then stopped working on it and refused to fix or continue the repair, resulting in me having to spend HOURS waiting in the parking lot for another Mobile tire repair to come fix the tires. They backed my car out of the garage and closed the shop for the night with my new tires inside, resulting in me having to cancel the mobile tire guy and having to uber home once the tire guy was almost there and having to uber there again the following morning. Not to mention because they had broken the lug nut I had to have the tires put on with the rim still on the car resulting in my rims being damaged. I will likely have to file a lawsuit to get compensated for all these costs if corporate refuses to fix. WHAT A MESS! Do yourself a favor and go to a standard mechanic for repairs and stay away from places like this! With the CEO of the company residing in Miami it is UNBELIEVABLE to experience service like this!

Transparency, if you value honesty, if you value customer respect, please do not go to this place. They are scam artist they will upsell and scam you and leverage the fact that you need your car so they can make a higher sale. Do not go to this place, find another one.. various companies believe that their main way to make revenue is to lie and scam their way through things, but it’s much easier and much more recommended that you practice, transparency and honesty to retain customers rather than upsell them to things that they don’t want or need. Here the lack of care to talk on an extra $300 out of nowhere out of the blue end of day and just kinda say well you just kinda have to pay it. It’s so insidious to me and I’m hope that you guys are super happy with that 300 extra dollars I hope that it goes to you because you obviously needed it. There seems to be no care about customer retention. You could’ve had a customer for tire changes brake changes everything and in between, but no, you decided that it was better to charge and basically did not have transparency on the price. Congratulations on the extra 300.

VERY bad experience today at your Little Havana, Miami location. My appointment was scheduled at 10AM to which I arrived early and started the process right away. An hour later my car had not been touched and the response from your clerks was “we are busy”. Well, I am busy as well so when I get an appointment , I expect the time to be respected, same respect you expect from me by showing up on time. About one hour and a half since my appointment time, I asked again and was told (again) “we are very busy today” by one of your clerks (they are obviously not paid to care) and was told the tire rotation I requested would not happen due to “company policy” concerning the depth of the thread in the front tires. It took 90 minutes to figure this out? No other explanation or alternative was offered other than “buy new tires”. I am all in when it comes to cross-selling and up-selling, but 90 minutes after the time of the appointment such a response is contrived at best. All in all, two hours from the time of my confirmed appointment until I got my car back, only oil change was performed, no tire rotation, lousy attitude by the clerks. I am not returning to Pep Boys for service in the future and I am not buying new tires from your company.
