I had a pleasant experience today! My car was inconsistently starting. I took it into Pep Boys; Clarence found out that it was the starter and replaced it. My car is 100% better! Clarence was very professional and friendly! Thank you, Clarence!

PEPBOYS DAMAGED MY CAR So I drive a 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan SE, I bought my car May 2023. December 14 2023 my car battery died. I called Pepboys’s and asked if they work on Volkswagens, the employee said yes. I schedule an appointment for the 21st. Got to my appointment and sat while my car was being worked on for about 4 hours. The employee then came up to me and said I have good and bad news. “Good news is that we change the battery” “bad news is that your car is un-drive-able”. He said the blew a fuse and my steering wheel wouldn’t move, He said that he’d get me a Lyft home and Christmas holiday is coming up and they might be closed. I didn’t get my car until December 28th. I missed the holidays due to not having my vehicle to get around also I was paying for all my transportation to go anywhere I needed. I get my car back from Pepboys on December 28th and I noticed all of my lights on my ac panel doesn’t work. Ac buttons not functioning, seat warmers not functioning. Once you start my car it says error: start/stop. Air began to blow from my vents for 14hrs non stop whether my car was on or off. I called and set another appointment the next day. Sat for hours and hours…nothing. Set another appointment this time they said they’ll have an “expert” come in. While on the way, they rescheduled the appointment. When I came in the next appointment with the “expert” after sitting for hours the employee said that they didn’t cause those damages but the can fix if I pay about $1,400 for damages on my vehicle that I didn’t come with or cause. I flipped. Grabbed my car keys and left. I then went to place after place paying for estimates after estimates. I finally took it to Volkswagen. They figured out that not only did they put the wrong battery in my vehicle, Fuses were blown, Ac Compressor damaged and other replacements were needed. Total coming up to $4,927.46. Volkswagen advised me to call Pepboys and demand for them to pay for my damages to my vehicle that they caused. After going through hoops, a claim was filled and I was cont I live in central Florida btw.

Carlos was really nice when he answered my phone calls and scheduled my appointment. He also found an item that I left behind and put it in a safe spot for me until I was able to go back and pick it up. Clarence and Terri were really nice as well. They made sure my brakes were operating properly. Thank you all so much for your help! I really appreciate you all!

recently visited the Pep Boys on Powers, and I have to say, the customer service was exceptional! Clarence, Carlos, and Terri went above and beyond to ensure that I was well taken care of. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and felt like a valued customer. Clarence and Carlos were incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in detail, making sure I understood all my options. Terri was also fantastic, providing outstanding service and ensuring my experience was smooth and hassle-free. Made a 5:30 appointment online for the same day, because it was available, at 2:45pm. Went there 10 minutes early, standing in the front of the shop for 10 mins before someone approached me and asked how can they help. I stated I have a 5:30 appointment and was rudely interrupted before I could even say my name right after that with “when did you make? It must’ve been within the last couple of minutes because last time I checked we didn’t have any 5:30 appointments.” I pull up my phone to show him the text confirmation at 2:45, and before I could even do that, he’s repeating what he said above, and saying how he only has one technician right now so he can’t do anything for me while he proceeds to show me the reservation list on his computer. “Yeah see I don’t have anything for 5:30.” And I clearly see my name, right at the top, I tell him yup that’s my name right there. He says “you must’ve made that appointment within the last couple of mins because I just checked and there was no appointment.” I said no I made the reservation at 2:45, and I show him the confirmation text. He then says “yeah there’s not much I can do, I only have one technician here and we’re backed up, but what is it that you needed?” I walked away and said forget it. Won’t be coming back here again.

Went to schedule an appointment for alignment and was told the tech. Called sick. Tried to schedule for the next day it was full. There was no attempt to help and no option was offer other than to go to another store. Question does the shop runs with only one tech? Or is it that I'm been refuse because in have a life time alignment contract and it does not add to sale value?

On Saturday, April 6th, I visited this location and had new front brakes and rotors put on my car, costing over $400. I noticed that my brakes were quite soft afterward and had several people drive my card to confirm that new brakes/pads were installed, as my brakes were no better and my pedal needs depressed almost to the floor to stop my car. Each person did inspect the brakes/rotors and determine that while they were new, the lines were not bled after installation - a simple oversight in their opinions. I called Pep Boys and explained this, hoping this would be a quick solution. They informed me that bleeding the lines was not a standard part of pad/rotor installation and that I would have to pay even more for this. This is unheard of in the industry. I'm reaching out to corporate and will update this review as it progresses.
