I started losing oil, and the guys took it in to check. They confirmed I needed to replace engine valve cover. They ordered it and scheduled the job for next day. It was done on time and within the stated estimate. Thanks to the shop.

Save yourselves from this place. The person up front is not helpful at all, lack of energy, and just bad vibes. We came in for a repair and was told the repair would take an hour. An hour later, we came back to pick up the vehicle and was told it would be another hour.

I had a great experience at Pep Boys! I came in for an oil change, and the service was quick and efficient, taking less than 2 hours. The Service Manager, Jahrelle, was fantastic—he promised my car would be ready in time for me to pick up my son from school, and he delivered! Angel, the technician who worked on my car, did a great job. I really appreciate the professionalism and excellent service. I’ll definitely be back!

This is the worst Pepboys Horrible customer service. Bring back the old staff. The current manager is confused He tried to put me in another customer's vehicle. After I told him it wasn't my car. So I waited an additional 2hrs for my car because it wasn't worked on. He was not focused on providing customer service. The women who works there looks ruff and sloppy. She is a BAD Representation of Pepboys The men looks a whole lot better, in their uniforms , much neater and cleaner. They are not working with a duty duty bed scarf on their heads, Most of all, they have better attitudes towards the customers. Please bring back the original staff

It was pouring rain when I got a flat tire! The replacement tire was a little pricey but worth it because they gave quick and friendly service.

People have to understand, if you come out of nowhere and expect right away service on a busy day it is not that kind of place. You can never rush perfection. Just go in, respect their rules of how they do things and be open with your time, then you will have a wonderful experience like I have.

Had an 8 AM appointment. Guy called at 10 AM to start the process. I called at noon still not done, but apparently check engine light was on – had not been on upon my dropping it off. This failed the emissions test unless I wanted to get a $99 diagnostic test, which would take another two hours. I declined. My check engine light is not on, this is a scam

I went there for yearly oil change and inspection. I alos asked for engine air filer and cabin filter to be replaced, and was reminded that last wheel alignment was three years ago. All work was done within a few hour. The price was of course more than usual yearly visit, but still reasonable. The front desk as well as the shop mechanics are knowledgeable about cars. Make an apointment to reduce your stay at the shop!

If I could give negative stars I would. This facility used some very cheap after market parts (horn <upper/lower>) . The parts did not fit and I was told this was Jerry rigged together by an official Hyundai technician, so badly to the point that the entire horn assembly is now fried and requires additional parts to repair. That it became shorted because this was not even sealed and water has been exposed to the housing and parts. I will either be compensated or we will be at court

These guys are the best @ what they do seriously going above & the job duties! I’m disabled ona fixed income raising my 4 Grand kids! My car is a necessity! These workers are so dedicated & mange’s 2 save me $$!! My car needed work so badly the service man called & explained it be longer than normal after his shift he was gonna continue working on my car! They’re so darn excectional they service men came on they day off 2 complete my car! I highly recommend Pep Boys @ least my one & only Pep Boys Ritner St Philadelphia! 10’s Across The Board!!!

They wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to replace a brake hose that just needed untwisting. Also let 2 lug nuts loose / did not put them back on causing more issues to my vehicle. i would not recommend going here.

Their website allows you to book an appointment, but no mention that once you arrive they won’t be able to fit you in because they got a bunch of cars in last minute. At the very least there could’ve been a courtesy email or phone call.

WORST. PLACE. EVER. Do not bring your car here unless you want your time and money wasted. I brought my car to this location on July 1st, 2024 after having my inspection done. The inspection place noticed a slit in one of my front tires so I took it to this location to get it replaced. I dropped my car off at 9:45 and was told there were 4 cars in front of me and a technician wouldn’t be in until 11:00. I don’t live very far, so I left my car there and went back home. 4pm rolled around and I finally called to check on my car after still not hearing anything all day. I was told by someone named Brian that it was currently being worked on. After not hearing anything at 5pm I walked over to see what the hold up was. Of course, it was still not finished. By the time they gave me my car it was 6pm and closing time. As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot, my car immediately began making this loud thumping sound. I had my father bring my car back the next day and he was told by the “technician” Jharelle that my rotors were bad. I brought this car in 2021, brand new off the lot, and as of today only put 3.6k miles on it. I barely drive anywhere so there was no way my rotors have gone bad that quickly. I immediately made an appointment with my dealership after the holiday. Fast forward to today, July 8th, 2024. I took my car to the dealer to see what the issue is. After about 10 minutes the service technician brought me to the back and showed me the two front tires on my car. He explained that both front tires were completely balanced wrong and that the wheel weights were hitting against the break calipers which was causing the loud noise. I had to immediately put out $261 to fix. Luckily, I have spoken to someone from the Pep Boys customer service/corporate team and provided them with the detailed invoice the dealership gave me and they are reimbursing me the costs. The lack of customer service/knowledge at this location is outrageous. The service technician at my dealership told me there is absolutely nothing wrong with my rotors, so either Jharelle didn’t know what he was talking about or he completely lied to my father’s face to get him to leave. I keep my car in great condition and I expected it to leave in the same condition it was dropped off. To anyone reading this, just go to your dealership! It’s going to cost you more but it’s better than leaving your property in the care of under qualified and useless technicians who have absolutely no idea what they are doing.

I recently was in Pep Boys for a battery and was assisted by Jahrelle. The level of customer service was exceptional. His demeanor with myself and the other customers was kind and respectful. He is an asset to the company!

OVERALL OPINION: DO NOT GO HERE!! Second Update: It's been about a month since I emailed Pep Boys with a complaint. I have emailed them twice and all I got was a "thank you for updating us" email. I also went in to get an oil change here after the initial issue and they didn't rotate the tires like they said they would, and didn't reset the oil change message in my car. Even with how great the staff are I can't recommend this place anymore. Update: Reached out to the email they sent and asked for them to investigate further. I haven't heard anything from them. This isn't a complaint about work that I got here because I wasn't able to. I went online, made an appointment, but when I got there was told they had someone working overtime just to get through the cars they had. Why isn't there a way for a location to block off all the appointment slots? If they're swamped I'd rather go somewhere else than drive over just to find out they can't help me.

The mechanic finish working with my car without any courtesy of the cleanliness of the car. So many dirty hands mark all over the vehicle, they just don’t care.

I hate to write this review. I have been taking my 2 cars here for 5 years, but today was an awful experience. I called in to schedule an inspection yesterday. Was told that I do not need appointment and inspector comes in at 11am. They told me the best idea is to bring my car in at 8am to make sure my car is first in line for when he arrives. I was at the door at 7:58am and behind one person. The manager did not arrive until 8:07 and let us in when he unlocked the doors. There was even an employee waiting to get in as well with us. I called at 2:45 for an update as i did not have any follow up texts with updates. They told me the car would be done in an hour. I took a bus to the shop and was there at 3:40. I was then told that my car was not even started due to some miscommunication. I did not wait the hour + as i had things to do. I drove a few blocks to Goodyear and they will have my business moving forward and my inspection is scheduled for Friday. I really like Martin and Mike in the front whenever I drop off my cars. I'm actually a bit sad that this happened as it seemed like Martin was a bit embarrassed about the whole situation and he had no idea why it was not completed.
