**Review edited from 2 stars to 1 upon further visits to this establishment Original Review: As a disclaimer, I am leaving this review as part of a 30% off promo. So far, I haven't been thrilled with my experience at this Pep Boys. Today, I just paid for them to not fix my car's ac. They charged me for them to "evaluate" it, even though they weren't able to fix the ac. They suspected that it needed to be charged, whatever that means, but all 3 of their ac charging machines are broken and so they told me to come back when they're working. As a result, they took off the fee for charging, which seems to come standard on their ac repair package, so thanks for not fully ripping me off. However, I have decided to give them 2 stars instead of 1 because they did finish sooner than I expected. I brought my car in shortly before close yesterday and was told it would be ready by the end of the day today, and so I expected it to be done in the evening time today. It was done around noon today, so earlier than expected. Though, it is possible that they might've just been overestimating the pickup time so that I would be pleased with their timeliness no matter what. Another reason why I am giving them a 2nd star is because I did also get an oil change and at least they were capable of doing that. Though, they might've upsold me on that as they told me that my oil level was too high. I just got my car and didn't want to take any chances, so I followed the representative's advice of getting an oil change despite my suspicion of being upsold. I would probably recommend going elsewhere, especially if you don't know a lot about cars like me as you might get talked into getting unnecessary work done. Also, if you are having anything more complicated than an oil or tire change done, then that might be another reason to go elsewhere as they might not be able to handle such a task. Update: So it took 6 months for Pep Boys to finally fix my ac. This meant that my car didn't have fully functional ac for this whole summer. I would've switched to go elsewhere but as I stated above I had already paid Pep Boys on my first visit and so I was financially obligated to continue going back. I still don't know for sure if the ac is working since it's cold outside now, but I wouldn't hold by breath considering how incompetent this place has proven to be. As a result of the insane amount of time it took, the bs charges, some pretty rude and unhelpful employees who at one point straight up lied to me, and the countless visits I had to make, they deserve 1 star. I can't imagine how I could've had a worse experience. Please save yourselves from this headache and see if you can find a real service shop.

Made an appointment for an oil change & was quoted about an hour so I decided to stay. It took over 2.5 hours on top of being the most expensive oil change I’ve ever had. Plus, my oil change light is still on, so not entirely sure I even got my oil changed properly. Staff was not apologetic and unorganized — they spent 10 minutes after I received a text my car was finished searching for my misplaced keys

I took my vehicle in for a flat tire on a busy Sunday afternoon. Eddie greeted me quickly even though they were back logged with all of the pre-holiday customers. I was told the wait would be 3-3 1/2 hours just to get in to be serviced. About 2 hours later, I received the call that they found the nail, and my tire had been repaired and it was ready for pick-up the same afternoon. Thanks, Eddie and team, for making my day better!

Fast and friendly. Eddy took care of me. Had a flat and he got it repaired quick. I was most impressed with how they dealt with other customers. Highly recommend!!

I called the day before, brought the car in after work as discussed to have my tires replace. I waited for 2 hrs and then 15 min before closing they tell me they don't have the tires in stock. I used to get my old Jeep serviced here all the time but there has been a steady decline in service at this location. Complete disregard for their customer's time.

Not a good experience! Doug seemed irritated and unknowledgeable from the moment we began speaking. He was completely unprofessional and rude. Luckily I was able to talk to Kevin who was very kind and helpful… but I still wouldn’t go back specifically because of Doug.

After getting my car back from the collision shop, they notified me that my car battery was leaking and needed replaced. It was late in the afternoon and thankfully PepBoys were able to take my car as a walk in. There was small mistake on when the car would be ready, but the store manager was amazing. He was still able to replace my car battery within the hour timeframe I was originally told. I really appreciated the help! Very friendly service too! I will definitely be coming back

I had to get new tires a couple months ago. Prep Boys were fair with pricing and fit me in quickly. Hopefully, I don't need tires soon but when I do, I know who to go to!

I had suspension work done which was fine, and when I drove off a different service light came on. I was not optimistic that this would be a quick fix after already spending a lot of money. Pep boys quickly within an hour identified the issue and fixed it at no extra charge. They are professional and fair. Will recommend to my friends.

I stopped here because my brakes were making a very loud noise and i wasnt close to my normal pepboys. I was told it would be about 30 mins. 2 hours later i was told the tech was still on break and hadnt looked at my car yet and was told i didnt have an appt so i had to wait in a condesending tone. I was polite this whole time. I understand they were busy and i didnt have an appt i was just inquiring what was going on. They guy i dealt with kept telling me the tech was on break. Finally they looked at it said it was a break line and hose charged me 664 and the one gentleman said maam this is a corporate establishment not some street mecahnic be prepaired to pay more. I never said a word about price. Then when i asked if that was what was making the noise i was told they only looked at the left front brake and nothing else. That i could come back if it was still making noise after i had waited an extra day because aomeone forgot to order a part. So i drive out of the lot and its still making the noise. I took it to another pepboys…they replaced front brakes and rotors and no more sound. I wasnt talked down too i wasnt treated like crap and the problem was fixed in 3 hours. So how did it pass the first break inspection at the other pepboys? If it failed at the second one? This place is horrible. Yes the brakeline and hose needed replaced but so did the rotor and brakes so why was i given so much trouble and hassle and that disnt even get looked at? Never will i go to that specific one again

I would like to thank Pep Boys, and specifically, Kevin at your South Millvale Avenue store in Pittsburgh, as to how well you treated and respected my daughter. She came in with an unknown issue that prevented the vehicle from starting. A loose and broken terminal cable was the culprit. Not only was the matter resolved for a fair price, but Kevin and the technician who worked on the vehicle didn’t try to sell my daughter anything more than what was needed. An honest service shop can be a challenge to find. So, I really appreciate Kevin and Pep Boys. Thank you.

Shady business practices. Charged my friend almost $400 to repair a tie rod end. Definitely tried taking advantage of her. I would avoid this business unless you have no other alternative. The guy behind the counter had a hard time justifying the almost $400 bill to me..

Eric was great! I went in in the morning to get a new battery, and I was in and out within two hours! Another service shop had said it would take several days to even get the battery I needed in. The team went above and beyond, and they were fully transparent about the battery cost and service cost. I will definitely be back!

They told me my car wouldn’t pass inspection unless they completed $1400 in repairs. Took my car somewhere else and was told it needs no repairs.

Do not go here. They told me they would inspect my car and it would take 3 hours (even tho I had an appointment) I waited the time, went to get my car and they haven’t even started it yet. Then after about another hour they had the mechanic “look” at it and told me my suspension would need completely replaced to pass. I left that day with no inspection. Took it to a local mechanic near my house and it passed with absolutely no problem. They tried to scam me because I was a woman who didn’t know much about cars and they thought they could talk me into expensive repairs I didnt need. They also made me wait HOURS for an inspection that they never even did and as I said I made an appointment. I would never go here again, I won’t even look in the stores direction. You’ve been warned!

I got this 2007 chevy Silverado had camshaft & heathers going forward to change the engine & leave it on shave so it can handle a turbo as well .. my first appointment Sunday October 19th .. keep you updated.

I took my car in for an oil change, and it was all really easy: scheduling online, drop-off, and pickup were all a breeze. I was given timely communication via email and text message during the service, and the employees were willing and able to explain stuff to me - everyone here is great and I highly recommend Pep Boys

Quick service, easy to schedule an appointment online. Brought my car in due to a low tire--turned out there was nothing wrong with it and so they didn't charge me anything for the service.

This pep boys is amazing! I came a little before 5pm with a flat tire due to a nail. I was stressed and in a panic, but the staff was so friendly and accommodating! They were very nice too. They took my car back right away and were able to patch up my tire. They did it unbelievably fast too, 20 minutes. Nothing negative about this experience at all. I can’t recommend this pep boys enough! Would highly recommend coming for any car problems,
