Great customer service, and great folks. They care about the customer. Great turn around time. Keeping you posted through out your repairs. Pep Boys Wistar RVA, the go to CAR SHOP of excellent and repair!! Tia is the Best, she should be Service Writer of the decade!!

No matter how small the job is, this shop is always understaffed and it will take all day to fix your car. I've gone to two different locations and they never have more than one or two, max, technicians on staff. Every time I've gone there, I've been forced to arrange transportation and just drop it off. Despite advertisement all over the internet, appointments are absolutely useless and never honored (I always made appointments but they didn't even acknowledge that and was treated as a walk-in), so don't bother making an appointment either because you will still be waiting. They tell you to come in first thing in the morning, so customers are lined up before 8am... The only reason I'm giving them two stars is because they did fix my vehicle on three different occasions at a reasonable price.

I purchased 2 new tires for my car. The service people were knowledgeable and personable. It felt like I was out in no time. I'm definitely going back for the other 2 tires and any other services my car needs

It is truly unfortunate that I had to come on here to edit my review. The customer service at this location is now nonexistent. I encountered Kurt who was completely rude and unprofessional and informed me that we could wait up to two hours for one inspection to be completed. Even after calling and speaking with Tia, something I always do because we travel so far. No matter how many times the mechanics at this location have messed up we’ve always come back because of the great service not to mention they used to take accountability. Not anymore. Half of this location is shut down and now I can see why. No need in taking the trip anymore. I definitely will not be back!!! Horrible service, filthy location, don’t waste your time or money!!!

Myself and another girl both came in on a Friday 20 minutes before closing, both with a nail in our tire. Curtis and Antonio very graciously took care of my tire very professionally with no complaints and had me back on the road in no time. I really appreciated their willingness to stay a little late to help me.

Went in with a flat tire late evening and the service team was very courteous and flexible and got it fixed within about 30 mins and we were in our way. Thank you Pep Boys !

I went in for new tires for an old rickety dodge truck. While I can get behind one coincidence, four breakages are beyond coincidence. 1 - stripped wheel stud, they wanted to charge me $150 to fix it. How do I know they didn't strip it ?????? I left the one nut off 2 - "hub cab" not installed on one of the wheels - it's a mini hub cap thing that goes on before the lug nuts - it was on the front seat 3 - My AC fan doesn't work now - what in the ??? 4 - My front door bearing suddenly is messed up and the door barely shuts. It's an old truck that has been super reliable for the 7 years I have owned it. Maybe the door just failed while they had it on the lift. What's up with the HVAC fan ? Why charge me $150 for $14 in parts when you probably stripped it ? And the woman running the counter was rude and not knowledgeable. I won't go back here - and I won't go to another Pep Boys in this lifetime. ***** UPDATE ****** Parts for the stripped wheel stud were $10.90, not $14. I googled and didn't want to go through all that work so I ordered a rethreading die on amazon for $13.65 and spent one minute rethreading the stud and popped the new lug nut ($5.79) on .... 60 seconds + the right tool .... Pep Boys wanted $150 and they probably stripped it in the first place. Such B.S.

I got my oil changed here about 2 weeks ago(so late post but...) Amazing🔥 customer service. I called ahead and dropped in within 15mins The hr+ wait was on me as I didn't have an appointment but I was still taken care of. I might be wrong, but I think it was Kirk, Ken, Kirt... sorry, maybe a 'K'... thank you man- I appreciate you! (My barky chihuahua and I both)

Serenity and the service manager Toya (I might be wrong) went above and beyond to give me options for the problems I was experiencing. Speaking to them was very pleasant and very knowledgeable and professional. I really appreciate how helpful they were and the mechanics in the back who got it done way sooner than expected. I will definitely come back for future maintenance.

The service at this pep boys is fast, thorough, fair, and reliable. They've never tried to cheat me out of money like other shops have and they do really good work. The people are friendly and efficient. Do yourself a favor and go see them for your vehicle maintenance.

What a rare find - a trustworthy mechanic shop. Tia and her team were exceptional. I brought them a Nissan I purchased for my teenager. Discovering I brought a lemon was a tragedy even more so because it was for my kid. They worked with me every step of the way on replacing the faulty transmission and dealing with the less than helpful warranty company (always get the warranty). They kept me up to date fielding my constant and probably annoying calls. They found a transmission that was almost new and my out of pocket expenses was minimal for replacing a transmission 🤩 I will continue to bring them all my vehicles and recommend them to any and everybody for your automotive needs!

AVOID!! A waste of time and their warranty sucks. They installed a starter that had a low voltage for a Hyundai Sonata. Car died again in under 4 weeks, returned it back, was told they couldn’t fix it. I found another dealership that fixed the issue. Calmly asked for a refund and was told to wait 4 weeks. Never heard back and never got a refund.

Don't even bother with this place. I went in for a simple state inspection. I knew that my driver side seat belt would not lock, unless I held down the red button while locking it. I figured that would fail. I dropped my car off overnight. I was hoping to have it back later that day. They said that I checked off that I wanted them to replace my wiper blades. My blades were only 2 month old at the time. Without calling to confirm. They swapped out my blades and rejected me for the seat belt. They mentioned that 1 hour of labor would be enough to fix it. I argued that I should not have to pay for the blades. After going back and forth for a few minutes. They agreed to remove the charge. Problem solved right? Not so fast. They needed to order the part to fix my seat belt. So I to bring my car back to have it taken care of. I came back a few days later after the part arrived for my seat belt. After the work was done, they charged me for more than 1 hour of labor. They charged me for close to 2 hours. That was enough money to cover the windshield wipers that they reluctantly agreed to remove the charge for. This place is absolutely disgusting and should be avoided at all cost. Hopefully the word gets out and this place will close down permanently

I came into town and when I arrived at my hotel, I noticed a screw in my tire. Found this place and drove right over! And although I waited a “bit” (came in late in the day and there were a few people in front of me), Dylan and crew got me back on the road! Appreciate the courtesy and professionalism they showed me!

I had to come do this review bcuz I’ve experienced nothing but great customer service every time But Dylon took the Key to the city. I had an issue that would have cost me my lively hood and I explained a bad situation and he jump in to save the day along with the mechanic thanks guys for showing care and getting me in & out at the last minute. I really do appreciate he little things bcuz BIG things are rare🤪

Got first rate customer service as Tig let the associate on the phone know the night before when I called that they could do inspections on Saturday. I showed up on Saturday and received the same great customer service from her again. She even gave me a great recommendation of where to get my windshield fixed. All positives from me.

Had a terrible experience. Was told twice over the phone the total price we would pay. After talking it over (wife and I) we agreed to get the job done. However, when the service was finally done the cost was more than 500 dollars more than original quote and still more than 380 after they gave a “discount” That’s not all…after being told 4 times the parts needed were arriving and the car would be ready but no calls or communication and every time I called to follow up the car wasn’t ready and no parts ever arrived. I don’t blame them for the parts getting late and taking two weeks to arrive. But I blame them for promising multiple times on something they can’t deliver and lying about the price. They have ruined any chance I would trust them or recommend another bringing their car for any issue. I am truly disappointed. I’ve been promised that there will be a follow up conversation with the manager once things have been investigated. And I hope that this will be made right.
