I had a NYS inspection and new wiper blades installed. I walked in the door at work 40 minutes later. They were quick, polite, professional, and reasonably priced. I dislike the service dept at the dealership where I purchased my car because they are unpleasant, treat me as if I am an idiot and always attempt to get me to purchase parts that I don't need. Pep Boys never seems to do that.

The technician was cordial and my new tires were installed same day. They also did an alignment and the car drives much more smoothly now.

The management went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. After having to cancel my appointment because of car problems, they called back to see if I was okay and went as far as offering to have someone drive to me to assist. I would highly recommend this shop!

Was greeted when I walked in. Had set up an appointment for an oil change on line. They confirmed what I needed and sent me a text to let me know it was done. Very professional.

This location is 50/50 chance at good service. I ended up at the Irondequoit Pep Boys location instead. Much more consistent, more capable, (and $100 cheaper than Marketplace)!! Marketplace quoted me $360 and Irondequoit did the job for $260. They seem to know auto repair better up there, so their estimates are more accurate and the repairs more efficient. Or maybe they're just more honest? Irondequoit Pep Boys is prompt, professional, friendly, and really, really capable. An excellent value. I personally can't recommend Marketplace Pep Boys. I think you might get good service if the conditions are easy for them–throwing tires on your car they actually have in stock, etc. But I don't think this location is as capable at balancing appointments, busy periods, part orders, and definitely not more advanced repairs–it all seems to overwhelm and frustrate them very quickly. Ordering an ABS sensor for my Mini seemed to greatly confuse them. When I switched my service to the Irondequoit location instead, everything suddenly became super smooth. The part was on order within 5 minutes, they were prepared for the appointment, and it was done promptly in 1.5 hours with no issues. Don't gamble with Marketplace... Irondequoit is much more consistent and dependable. That location completely saved my impression of Pep Boys and I actually went back 2X more since, for more repairs. Each time was fast, easy, and capable. That location runs with dealership quality–my Mini is back on the road and drives like a dream again. If you want guaranteed great service, with honest pricing, go the Irondequoit location. Otherwise, be realistic about the gamble Marketplace Pep Boys actually is. Maybe they'll improve over the coming months but right now, they are super spotty.

55 min after appointment service was started. No heat in building. Filthy and unkept. Place looks like it's about to shut down. Sad to see.

Do not take your car to this location under any circumstances. Caught them joy riding/doing donuts after having new tires put on. Did not offer ANY sort of remediation. No discount, NOTHING. I would not trust them to do so much as add washer fluid after this incident

Got my winter tires put on! It was perfect they even put air in them for me!!! Which I wasn't expecting at all! It was done very well! Thanks!!!! (And cheaper then the other place I usually go to change my tires)

I’ve come to this location for many years, the manager is always patient and helpful. My car broke down had some issues recently twice in one week and despite it being a holiday coming up they had the parts and got me in and out quickly both times.

The gentleman who helped me was brand new. The service was quick but what really made this experience special is the fact he shook my hand, thanked me for my business, and told me they look forward to me returning. I'm in sales and this genuine gesture went a long way. Will definitely be back.

2 hours for an oil change, left oil hand prints all over the inside and outside of vehicle. If it wasn't a company vehicle I wouldn't use this place.

Bob was great! Helped us figure out the best way to replace our tire and had it fixed in hours. Saved us some money by properly reviewing the conditions. Definitely coming back.

Easy to make appointment, went super quick, wasn't expensive, and there is a waiting room (unlike what another reviewer said). Didn't go to my usual place but I'll definitely consider using them again in the future. Nice guy too 👍

I called - I got information - I made an appointment, then I was taken in, my car got an oil change in less than half an hour and I was on my merry way again. The entire service was friendly, customer oriented, and easy and quick. I will go back here, for sure!

It is so difficult when you car breaks down in a city that is not your home.You have no clue where to go or who to trust. These guys fixed my totally flat tire when no one else in Rochester could! They did it for a reasonable price with a smile on their faces and some small town charm. If ever my car has any issues in Rochester, trust me, I will totally go to these guys! Thanks so much.

If I had to use a set of words to describe recent experience with the Henrietta Pep Boys it would be untimely, disappointing and frustrating. Not only was this experience a complete headache, it was extremely time consuming on my part. I have been asking the district manager to reach out to me regarding reimbursement for the rental and tow since 09/12/2012. I have contacted the store over a dozen times asking for a resolution and the only thing the store manager Paul can tell me is that he has escalated it to his district manager Andy and it is in his hands now. I am completely dissatisfied with this whole experience, but especially with Andy's complete disregard of me. As someone who makes their living in customer service I think it is absolutely appalling that in 19 days the district manager has made no attempt to call me or make right what NEVER should have happened if they had replaced the part in question the very first time I brought my car in. I am looking for a resolution, I believe I am entitled to a reimbursement at least on the rental and tow I had to pay for out of pocket, honestly the water pump should be compensated for as well considering it is likely it was damaged by this shops neglect, and will continue to escalate this until I am heard.
