My appointment was scheduled for 2 o’clock. I was not checking in until 2:30. While waiting, they continue to prioritize cars without appointments. My appointment was scheduled for an oil change as well as tire alignment. 2 o’clock appointment I did not leave until after 5:30 PM

2 years ago i bought the lifetime warranty on wheel balancing and alignment. I used it only 2 times when i realy had to. This time i went in bcoz the rim was replaced and i was advised to get the alignment done. The adviser told me the warranty i have is only if something major happened. I explained what happened and he told me it will take 3 hrs. He wanted to scare me with time frame as i was waiting there at the store. I checked in at 1pm and they returned my vehicle at 4:50 . Ppl checked in after me and left before i was the last one to leave. I am definitely not going to this particular store. Next time i will try their other store in area hopefully this will not treat me like that. Also they refused to do the balancing saying they dont have equipment for 2”wheel. Weird a tire shop says so.

Paid online for tires they advertised. I drop my car off, only to find out later they don't have the tires, and they provided no options as far as ordering more or going to a location that may have them in stock. Great service, too bad they didn't order enough ahead of time.

Each time we come to this location, Brandy gives the worst customer service. She is full of attitude and openly complains about the customers that call. The mechanics have the same complaints about her. Website states 7pm closing Monday-Saturday. I received a text stating my car was ready for pickup at 5:55pm. When we arrived at 6:15, Brandy said come tomorrow to pick up your car after we drove 30 minutes to this location. We headed over before the text to ensure we got there before closing. A courtesy call stating they close at 6pm not 7pm would have been nice. She gave the impression that my car was done for quite some time and she put that my car was ready for pick up in the system conveniently before “closing”.

My appointment was scheduled for 2 PM. I went in 30 minutes early, didn't get the tires I wanted, which was either Goodyear or continental. They weren't in stock? None in the back? No legitimate reason was given honestly. I agreed to their deal but had to pay $193 for Cooper tires which was insane, bc online they dont even go for that price, I see it set for $139.00. Mind you the deal is buy 2 get 2 free, I didn't even get the brand I wanted, and to top it off an alignment is an additional $130.00. Other places I've gone too have always done it for free with the purchase of new tires. To make matters worse it took over 5 and a half hours to complete. Why? Bc unfortunately they only had 2 mechanics, and dear Louie was one of them. Management clearly needs help. I also paid 115$ for "insurance" on my tires, that I had no idea I was getting and wasn't even told about. I'm definitely reporting them to the Bureau of Automotive Repair (their number is 800 952 5210 btw)for that. BEWARE. When they ask you to sign and don't explain a word it's bc of that ridiculous insurance which they provide no insight or details for. Be sure to clarify and tell them you don't want it or be screwed to pay for it. I'm definitively never going back again. The one star they received is for getting actual tires for this weather (which I'm questioning if they are actually going to last me bc of the experience I had) and mostly for Mr Louie, who bless his soul should be retired and I would actually give him 5 stars, but unfortunately they had him working with another young lad. I'll go to the automotive shop in elk grove next time that I usually go too bc I never want to experience this again.

The mechanic was really technically aware of a lot of information and he was able to explain everything to me and I was completely satisfied with their service I would recommend someone to go to Pep Boys on Stockton

The team here was great I had all 4 new tires installed with a sweet deal that I scored on buy 2 get 2 free. and they got me in took care of my car even after being late for my appointment and during a very busy rainy day. Very nice service !

5 Stars, would give 10 Stars if I could! So long story short, did some work on our friend's truck: removed OEM shocks/struts, installed new shocks/struts, and on the test drive, felt the vehicle toe out towards the left so it def needed an alignment. The issue? Majority of automotive repair shops are closed on Sundays and we were unable to get in at the Firestone in EG, so when Pep Boys popped up as 'open' on Google Search, we jammed over there. First off, don't let the initial impression get you: there are major renovations in progress and it will be exciting to see the new waiting area plus overall store side updates. Brandy at the front desk greeted us and checked us in, while providing expectations regarding how long the service would take, etc. Let us know it would take about an hour + since the two mechanics onsite were already working on other orders. We didn't have any issues with that and decided to wait at the shop. If the waiting area is too small for some people, you can head over to the retail store on the other side or we routinely stood outside to just observe all the crazy traffic in the area. I forgot the mechanic's name who worked on the truck but wow, he was thorough, his attention to detail, methodical, and meticulous. We would peek around the corner (since boredom got the best of us) but he was always on point. The alignment process in itself was really cool since I've never observed it before, and once we saw him take it out for a test drive, knew it was complete. We drove over a few railroad tracks as well as mini potholes and the vehicle handled everything like a champ. Please note that they offer two types of alignments here: 30 day guarantee for $99 or the 1-year 12,000 mile guarantee, so maybe next time, may move forward with the latter. Overall, our work order was completed in the time frame that Brandy gave us, and we were very appreciative of all the hard work and attention from the staff. We will bring the vehicle back here in the future as well as refer other customers. Thank you, Pep Boys!
