The mechanics are excellent, but there is a receptionist who claims to be Puerto Rican and is the most rude person I have ever met. I called by phone and he got upset and hung up on me and when I went to the store he treated me with a total lack of respect. It is unfortunate that the good service of the mechanics is tarnished by this unpleasant person.

Certainly the best customer service that I have experienced in a while. Anthony handled business like a professional, and his customer service was outstanding. They were quick to finnish up what I needed. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer based on customer service alone.

Fleet customer for 10 years we have had out trucks serviced here. I can no longer trust this location it has become one of the worst businesses I know of. First problem with them about 2 months ago is I took a tire to them that had a nail in the center of the tire completely repairable. It also had a piece of a staple that was in the tread only and didn't penetrative in to the tire. They tried to tell me the tire wasn't repairable complete bs. I took it and fixed myself in 20 minutes. Most recently in the past week we took a truck there provided them the codes for the truck on Friday. I was told they would told someone would call me in them morning by 9am and let me know what they found. No phone call so I called them to get a status around 10am. No idea they said they would find out an call me back shortly. No call I called again at 2pm they would have it done and back to me during the weekend. Again I check on it (not once did they call me) I'm told they won't have it done until sometime Monday. Unacceptable my employee stat work at 630am. Manager calls me from home and says he will find a way to get it done and proceeds to tell me all his problems - overworked 70 hours a week - his othe manage overworked - employees stealing business in the parking lot - techs won't come to work And on and one. Guy Alan has a crappy attitude and talking bad about his employer and employees. I don't want to here it. They did get it done at 6pm on Sunday but not without a lot of crap. The next week I took my truck in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. Had a 9am appointment and drop off at 845am. 1pm and no call again zero communication. I call and they haven't even looked at it. 4 hours and a 9am appointment this is crappy service. Alan again tells me how they haven't finished all the cars from the day before and his problems. Nothing that should be discussed with a customer. Alan is an incompetent manager. I went down and picked up my truck he couldn't find the keys. No service was provided. I will take it elsewhere. Called fleet services to make a complaint the lady there listened to the issues and was professional and apologetic. She did call back and said the regional manager responsible for the store would call me. That never happened. The management in Tampa is horrible and needs to be replaced. This store should be closed. We are done with PepBoys. They clearly don't care about the customer. You should avoid this store.

My experience with Anthony, G.M., has been nothing but excellent customer service & wonderful experience when dealing with my tire issues. I first met Anthony at Tire Choice. From the minute I stepped in I knew I was in good hands. Today I had a tire emergency & stopped at Pep Boys & to my surprise Anthony was there as G.M. The service I received was 5 stars. I recommend Anthony to help with your needs at Pep Boys. Very knowledgeable & personable. Hard to find great help & Anthony is the Best!!!

We couldn't pass up the amazing deal on 4 new tires with warranty, installation and alignment. We were in and out in an hour. I would highly recommend!

After a bad experience with the location in Pinellas, Anthony took care of my vehicle and worked on it asap. Same day with no appointment and even though he had a lobby full of people and he was working the counter alone he took care of everyone and was polite and helpful! 10/10 recommend this location!

Everyone if you have any car troubles you need to go to this Pep Boys and see Anthony! He is the best at fixing any car issues. He is an expert and he will be honest with you. He saved me thousands of dollars in repairs. I will not take my car to anyone else but him

Anthony and Gabriel are amazing people! They helped me patch up my tire after spending hours at another shop waiting to see if they could fix it! Finally they called and said they couldn’t, in tears I called Pep Boys as a last resort. Anthony ensured he could fix my flat tire even though it was 6pm and they closed in an hour. It comes down to a person being understanding and willing to take the initiative to make someone’s day better, and Anthony went above in beyond for me today. Absolutely stellar customer service I will be coming back, even though it’s a 30 minutes drive it’s worth the extra drive to have kind people taking car of my car.

Guys and gals, do yourself a favor and go see Anthony at Pep Boys on Hillsborough Ave near Dale Mabry Highway. It’s rare to see customer service like this these days. I watched every single customer that was there that day leave with a smile and one particular women gave him a hug before she left. Good stuff, I tell you. Now, there are slot of people in Tampa these days so they are a busy place. Best to leave your car in their hands and go have lunch or go shopping w a friend if you don’t like sitting and waiting. There is a litt Jamaican spot a few doors down that has great food, check it out.

I just want to take the time to say THANK YOUU ANTHONY ! I was without AC in my car with my little ones for MONTHS and come to find out it was just a quick fix that nobody could figure out and come to find out it was extremely low on Freon…Anthony was professional and courteous during the entire process and made my dad and I feel like family and NOT just a number OR a price tag. The Hillsborough location has the most honest, kind , hardworking workers you could ask for. I stay in Brandon and I will not walk foot in the Brandon location again due to them price gouging people 200$ just to hook your car up to see what your low on or what’s wrong with the vehicle. Anthony had me walking out within a couple hours with added Freon and functionally working AC untill we can detect a possible leak otherwise . Thank you Anthony for all your hard work and dedication your kindness to others and your customer service skills are impeccable and do not go unnoticed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bottom line up front— highly recommend! I recently visited for a battery replacement for my complicated vehicle. Anthony went above and beyond to help me understand and resolve the problem. They ran diagnostics, ensured my battery was the correct type, and took the time to explain everything clearly. A couple of weeks ago, Anthony and his team also helped me with a headlight issue, and the experience was just as fantastic. It’s rare to find such attentive, knowledgeable, and transparent service these days, and I truly appreciated that from first visit and especially the consistency at my most recent visit. Thank you to Anthony and the whole team for their transparency, dedication and professionalism. While I hope to be done with car maintenance for a little bit, I will absolutely return for future service.

Needed brakes on my bmw 4series not only did they beat the dealer price but the education I received on the difference between standard brake services and the materials needed to make sure my car performed and stopped like it should made me extremely comfortable with spending the money that I was quoted and they even used all BMW dealer parts from the two piece rotors down to the brake pads and they beat the dealers price by $375 and explained in detail the difference between tires and the performance that I required and what the dealer was trying to sell me saved $195 on the tires. I’ve been following this group of men from other places and I’ll continue, they are honest and really care about their customers and community.

What a experience, came to pep boys bc I had heard about Anthony and his team at that location and I was not let down, my ac would work intermittently and literally EVERY shop I went to told me I needed $2500 and up in repairs saying I needed a compressor and the parts that go with it and I come to pep boys and James there master tech diagnosed my car and after a day when I called the owner Anthony told me to just be patient and wait bc when he calls he found the cause...long story short they fixed my ac and it was only a sensor and the entire job was under $500 with the recharge...thank you for your honesty and your actual Diagnosis that fixed my problem. This group of men are actual technicians not just parts changers, this location is busy but trust me I'll wait whenever I have car troubles now. They even beat another tire shop on a set of tires, pep boys has coupons right on there website, the owner even showed me what ones applied to my repair and maintenance...Thank you for your honesty and compassion
