Very nice guy at the front desk, however they left a bunch of lubricant on all 4 tires, did not clean it and I noticed some scratch on my rims...please do not let teenager do a men's job...

Front passenger tire popped. Brake pads placed on front don’t even meet OE standards of being ceramic pads. Tires are more out of balance than prior to them balancing them. Rear brakes squeaking/squealing all the time now instead of just at slow speeds. Will never return to Pep Boys. I will easily be out several hundred dollars just trying to correct everything and fix what was suppose to be fixed by them.

UPDATE: Car won’t turn on still after battery and alternator was replaced. Since my receipt said an inspection was done- I’m upset they did not find even an inkling that something else was wrong. Now I’m $1000+ down the drain and having to call a more reputable source to find the real issue since I don’t trust Pep Boys anymore. Was quoted that my repair would take two days. It’s been almost 7 and still nothing. They won’t even make a curtesy call letting me know they still haven’t finished it- I’M having to constantly call and check up on it. I’m now having to pay $80+ A DAY in rideshare because of this and it’s ridiculous. If they would’ve let me know- I would’ve taken to somewhere that can accurately help a customer, rather than letting my car sit in their parking lot. (I also have an AirTag on it and can see them consistently moving my car around their lot yet it still isn’t fixed?)

Was looking for a part next door to fix my undercarriage trim after I couldn't get the dealer to fix it. Pep boy Mechanic saw my car with the trim hanging down, told me to bring it in and just fixed it on the spot, no charge. So now I come here for scheduled maintenance, they are cheaper than the dealership, will actually listen when I ask about other issues and proactively notice upcoming problems.

Lousey Customer service! I booked an appointment, requested a Quote. Never heard back. Called 2 days before the appointment, a girl too down my information said she would call back. Never heard from anyone! Called the day before the appointment, called 4 times, to cancel! The never picked up! After reading the reviews, I am very Happy to bail on they're appointment. They Obviously do no need anymore Business.

I took my Cadillac to Pep Boys because the AC wasn’t blowing cold. They ripped me off for $250 and lied, saying it was fixed when it wasn’t. When I brought it back, they did absolutely nothing and refused to refund my money. This place run by incompetent and dishonest staff. Worst service ever!

Needed a stock trailer tire replaced on July 4th. Called Pep Boys and they confirmed availability. Tools the tire in and they worked me in. Was extremely professional and kind and although very busy got me taken care of!

DO NOT GO HERE. Liars and scam artists. I went in Sunday asked the spark plugs to be checked, all the ignition coils, brakes, and oil changed. Picked up my car was told the spark plugs were great, coils were changed, and the car should run fine. Left the lot close to closing and the check engine light came back on. I returned Tuesday (did not drive in between leaving the shop and returing) and was told spark plugs are burnt up and i need 3 more coils and a whole list of other issues I wasnt told about Sunday. The mechanics explanation was that car parts can "go bad" anytime and he couldnt tell me what happened Sunday cause he wasnt there..it was the same shop. How can you not speak for what your own shop didnt do? What? Parts do not go bad minutes after you leave the shop. I took it to another shop and was told theres no way those issues werent present the first time I took it in. Dont go here unless you want to waste your money.

Dropped of my car for a routine AC recharge. Was told there was no leaks and it was just a little low on freon and they filled it. Picked it up, car blowing nothing but hot air. I take it back, and they tell me it now has a huge leak and I need to replace the entire lower AC line for $800. I question the diagnosis, and they tell me to return the next day. I returned the next day and the manager (who was very nice) had a mechanic look at it. Then they come back and tell me there is no leak but instead a clog in the compressor and want $800 to fix. I told them to remove all freon from the car and just give it back to me at this point. I called a buddy (who is mechanically inclined but not a professional mechanic) and he said they likely overfilled it originally. We went to Walmart and got two cans of EZ Chill refrigerant, filled it up, made sure pressure was proper (he had the gauge/hoses to do this). Now the AC works perfectly. There is no problem with the compressor or lines. Just a horrible experience. I don't know if they just made two mistakes with the lines and compressor, or what, but either way I am glad I didn't have them do the unnecessary repair. They were very nice, but they clearly messed this up.

The guys did well and took great care of my 69 c-10 while in for a headlight issue and oil change.. They even cleaned up some of the wiring that was already there for me. Will be back again.

Amazing experience with these folks. I took my car in to reattach my splash guard. Most places (understandably) would not do this without the proper fasteners, which had completely disappeared. But I had to have replacements, or what could they do, right? Well, I bought what I thought were the replacement parts and left the car with them. While I was gone, they learned the parts were the wrong ones and they took the extra step to buy the correct ones at the supply store next to them. I guarantee you, no one else would have taken the time to do that. So, I show up to get my car, and they wouldn't let me pay them a dime, not for the work or for the replacement parts. "We got you taken care of, that's all that matters" is what I was told. I was gobsmacked. Granted, it was a quick thing for them to do, but to just get me situated and send me on my way? Well, that's a level of customer service I didn't think still existed, especially from a big company like that. They have made me a supporter for life.

Avoid at all cost. Liars and thieves. They charged almost 700.00 to change plugs and plug wires. My 85 year old mom took her 2003 tahoe to these thieves to get the spark plugs replaced. I physically inspected the wires and checked the vehicle with an OBD2 scanner 2 days before and all the wires were good. I have a bad back and that's why I didn't replace the plugs myself. The only code was multiple misfire but no code to a specific cylinder. I told her to get all the old parts that were replaced. She didnt ask before the work was done and said it took quite a while for them to get the old parts when picking up the vehicle. They destroyed one of the plug wires. It looked like it had been taken to a grinder and then a maybe a lighter. Manager said it was damaged removing it and the "mechanic" said it was "worn out" from general wear and tear. All plug wires are about 12" each and there is nothing for them to wear out on. The wires are very accessible and plug into a coil pack right above the spark plug. When I confronted the "mechanic" about it his response was "So what". He then told the manager to call the police on me after he and I exchanged a few choice words. This guy was unbelievably stupid and confrontational. The manager was new which I'm sure is because of thier horrible customer reviews due to complaints about John H. the "mechanic". They charged 99.25 labor to change the plugs. Then another 188.50 labor to replace the plug wires. Another 35.00 for shop fee. When i ask what additional supplies were used, I was told "like paper towels for wiping my hands". The plugs were 111.92 and wires were 163.64. They charged over double the price for parts that can be purchased at Walmart. Total cost was 671.92. When I ask the manager about removing theses ridiculous charges he looked at me like i had 2 heads. No charges were removed. He wouldn't provide a contact number other than pep boys 1-800. I ask for a regional manager contact and it wasn't happening. His defense was "I told your mom this was needed and she okay'd it over the phone." My parents are on social security and can't afford to have their head ripped off by unscrupulous people like these. Please avoid and yell everyone you know to avoid them as well.

I took my car to Pep Boys on 03/15/2024 to have my front strut replaced on my 2014 Chevy Impala. They advised me they could have the part in 30 and min but it took and hour for the part to arrive. I specifically told them that I need a quick strut instead they installed a strut and it without the assembly piece to it. I left with my car making the exact same noise as it was when I bought it to them. I contacted them regarding the issue and was advised to bring my vehicle back in only to be told the master mechanic was not availabl7. I took it to a different location only to find out they didn't tighten the stutt correctly. This did not fix the issue due to them not installing the quick strut as they should have. Secondly this company charged me almost 3X the cost of the part. ( Deceptive Pricing). They get the parts from Autozone at a lower cost ( I have their account price as well as the price of the original part) and the cost that they sold the part to me for. I am filing not only a corporate complaint but also with the BBB. They are going to refund me my money. I promise that.

I was in Tulsa for a corporate meeting and my alternator died. I was alone, unsure what to do and the team at this location was amazing! Super helpful- answered all of my questions and quick to fix the problem and get me home. Not the normal customer service I have received in other auto shops. Hopefully I won’t need to be back but I appreciate what they did to help so quickly!

I went to this location for a free ac check because my car was blowing warm air .They weren't even with my car for 5 minutes before the guy comes out saying I needed to do an additional diagnostic for $60. I said okay. Wasn't too happy about it but whatever. Then they come back saying I needed to have my coolant fan replaced and it would be $1000 to fix. I had an issue with the coolant system last year so I thought that was insane. I took my car to Midas on Peoria and they said the coolant fan was working properly and it was my compressor that was the issue. I would not trust this pep boys at all. Giving me a false diagnosis just to get money out of me. They probably didn't even need to do that additional "diagnostic". Wish I could rate them 0 stars.

Went to the shop on 71st and memorial to have my car checked out and the manager John helped me fix my check the engine light. He explained me on what was done and answered any questions about what was going to be done. He was super busy helping out all the calls and people who came in to get work done. Would recommend people to bring their car here to get it serviced.
