EDIT: Pep Boys corporate responds to each review here with one of two exact, word-for-word, responses. A negative review like mine gets the call to make contact so they can "investigate further". I did that, and crickets. I was ignored. So I sent out another email to social@pepboys.com to poke them to action and I was told to file a complaint if I wanted any further action. There was no concern for a customer experience, no true intent to resolve an outstanding issue or even an effort to at least performatively sooth the annoyance. They very officiously told me to file an official complaint. The implication was do that, or STFU. If I had doubts before about the company I certainly do not now. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I made an appointment for a Monday morning at 8am to have four new tires put on a used vehicle I had purchased a few months before. I made the appointment online a few days ahead of time, paying for the tires and installation using their website. Fast forward Monday Morning at 8am, I walk in and I am told by the young man on the desk that they actually only have two of the tires I had ordered in stock, and that the system should have reflected that when I made the appointment, but did not. Also, even if they were in stock, it might be another 15 or 20 minutes before they would be able to get to it because his one and only tech was not there yet and was often late. With only a month or two of experience on this job, he was unsure what to do since I had prepaid for everything, so he began calling around, to the next store over and to an area manager, to see if it would be possible to cancel my order with a refund and send me to another Pep Boys that did have the tires I had ordered. This took awhile. The tech showed up but had nothing to do. At no time was there any offer of an upgrade at a discount to the next set of tires they DID have in stock, which I thought would have been prudent given the error had been theirs and nobody had bothered to check beforehand and contact me. I let him try and find a resolution since I had paid for these already (otherwise I would have left by this point), but eventually someone from the next store over showed up with two of the tires from their own stock so we went back to the original plan. I have no idea who made the decision to send those over because the young man admitted he was as surprised as I was, but there you are. While the tech went to work, it came out in conversation that I was originally from Canada. The young man asked me what I thought of Canada, and when I answered, that inspired a 15-20 minute recitation of untruths and propaganda of why immigrants were bad (except the ones like me of course) and why Trump was good. When he admitted after all this that his own mother in law was an undocumented immigrant, I said I wanted to go drink my coffee before it got cold and escaped back to the waiting area. Four hours and one very unwanted political lecture from a man young enough to have only voted once in his life. I won't be going back to Pep Boys, this store or any other.

Pep Boys Rock!! They took care of everything I needed in purchasing new tires. When I had a blowout they got me right in and even went and picked up the matching tire to my set. Dakota was very professional and kind. Thanks for a great experience with this major purchase!! I will tell anyone and everyone that Pep Boys are the best!!! Thanks guys!!🤟

Don’t go to pep boys. They put on the wrong tire size and probably screwed up my transaxle. Have a case going with corporate. They don’t know what they’re doing. BEWARE!!!!

John called prior to my appointment to confirm the time which was awesome. He and his team also got me in and out super fast that day which is great since I am absolutely not a daytime person. I appreciate all their hard work! Thanks y'all! EDIT as of 1/19/24: It wouldn't let me leave a whole new review, so I'll add on to this. Eric and Dave helped me navigate getting my coolant system pressure tested, and then the radiator replaced via my extended warranty and I'm extremely grateful and more than pleased with the service. Alex was the tech that worked on things and he verified the system was in good working order and there were no other issues. If you're looking for a good shop that does fine work and gets you on the road asap, this is the one! 20/10 honestly. I wish I could leave another review. EDIT AS OF 10/13 Since I still can't leave a new review I'll just have to keep updating the old one. The team at this Pep Boys is fantastic. They got me in and out in great time, even while fielding other customers and calls. They always take care of me and my vehicle and I can't be more grateful! Thanks, y'all.

The boss was MIA. The mechanic couldn't input my info for an oil change. Boss couldn't be reached by phone. Hope he's okay, but I left after 10 minutes.

I went in for AC diagnostic, and the AC worked worse after Pep Boys checked it out. They said I needed a new compressor, but when I left the shop the valves were leaking. I took it to another shop that fixed it by replacing the valves.

I came in on March 2nd after putting new tie rod’s caliber era bushings wheel bearings all new front end. After it was aligned on bottom only said need new stearing box. Put new stearing box on and took it back after having truck towed . After second visit for second alignment nothing was put in summary as the dirt one and it was inspected by technician. No problems nothing wrong till I drove to okc for my daughters heart surgery on way back to Tulsa . On the way back to Tulsa the front end alignment was getting bad so I took it back to pep boys and they done the alignment again and after inspection no summary at bottom of page again. I drove for a few weeks and I took it back again and Rickey told me oh your warranty is up your tire has wear on passenger side on inside of the wheel as I showed them the upper a arm is loose by shaking wheel in the shop and they said oh no that’s not the problem it’s on the driver side but the wheel on drivers side is still a great tire with lots of tread the best tire on the Tahoe. The tie rods were brand new before the first trip to pep boys and th technician the same one was like u replaced everything we see and after I installed all the parts like brakes tie rods upper and lower ball joints wheel bearings calipers bushings on sway bar everything even rear sway bars . Today may 15th the technician when I called said could be faulty parts. I’ve never seen any part go out this quick. It’s been aligned 3 times in less than the 90 days and it feels like my wheel is going to fall off . Seems like the technician is not tightening the bolts all the way as they keep coming loose. Now my tire is wore out on the opposite side of truck where now my new tie rod I put on less than 2 months ago has a pin hole and leaking . I don’t know how it can be inspected 3 times by pep boy’s technician and see nothing wrong as they are new parts and the fourth Time oh it’s faulty parts . Why weren’t they faulty the other 3 times ?seems since they didn’t get to charge me to fit the 1200 in parts on and charge me they are trying to tear up the new ones on my truck. The driver side has not came loose one time only passenger side the upper a arm keeps coming loose and it shows on my front right driver side you or I can walk up and shake the wheel and see the upper a arm back bolt is just wiggling as you or me shake the tire which is why the front right tire has wear on inside not the left where the new tie rod all of a sudden has a pin hole and leaked out fluid or grease and it’s clean as it was just punctured. If it was punctured a while back there would be dirt grime and everything else as it does on anything when it’s been busted for a while I’m asking for help or I’m calling better business bureau and fox 23 . It’s not ok to put anyone’s life at risk me my kids or grand kids. I have receipts for everything and tried showing manager and tech and they denied seeing your letting me show them they want me to get parts and then the manager proceeded to tell me John your warranty is up but I still have till the 2nd of June they just do not want to be held accountable but they are the ones who ar not allighning it properly the a arm is still loose. Please help

Had an emergency with my back lift door hydraulic while traveling solo through Tulsa on a Sunday. These guys were so incredibly nice to stop what they were doing and take a look. They fixed my issue and had me on my way in less than 5 minutes AND didn't charge me anything. So grateful I stumbled upon them!
