Update to a previous review. I called and spoke with Kurt this morning for almost an hour and had a very pleasant conversation together. We have had several vehicles serviced with them and they have always done good work and seem to be upfront and honest which is nice to know. There will always be competitive shops and you have to be able to trust the people working on your vehicles and hopefully they will work with you in return. I hardly write reviews but wanted to express an honest opinion. Up until now, I have been using Performane Automotive for years. The work seems to be good but their prices are higher than most. Recently I called and spoke with Kurt about getting a tune up, transmission service and brakes done. I was quoted just over $2k for everything, which was $800 more than a few other shops I called. When I asked Kurt about the prices and stated that other places are cheaper, he said he couldn't match their prices. The disappointing part is that I have brought several of my vehicles to them and also referred many people. Everyone knows that I am meticulous with my vehicles and picky as to who I allow to service them. It's sad they would rather loose a great customer versus trying to keep my business and not work with me on being more price competitive. Anyway, the search for a new mechanic is still ongoing and seems like more businesses today just continue to raise their prices and also penalize loyal customers.

I’ve been bringing my vehicles here for the better part of 15 years (2 VW Jettas, Audi A7). Their service is always excellent and priced fairly. It feels better when the mechanic gets to know your vehicle, and can fix things that are wrong. If something doesn’t need to be repaired, they won’t repair it where at some other places (dealerships included), you’re going to get the replacement whether you need it or not. They’re good people over here and that’s the reason the shop is still here, and I’ll continue to get my Germans serviced here.

It's great to find a trustworthy shop. My bill was exactly what I was quoted, Curt was extremely helpful and straightforward. From the day I called to the day it was finished was less than a week. They do fantastic work my car didn't have a bunch of grease and oil on the interior they even put my seat back where I had it before. It may not seem like much but it's the little things that will keep me as a consistent customer. I really appreciate curts honesty and being straightforward and not trying to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. They have them selves a customer for life. Thank you guys

I have to say these guys were straight forward and professional from start to finish. I entrusted them with my 2008 BMW 135i when getting heavy maintenances done and couldn't ask for a better place to receive quality and honest work done. Highly recommended for any BMW enthusiast needing quality work done away from the dealer.

I'm very picky who I let work on my car, but I was recommended to this shop by some fellow German Car Enthusiast and I'm so happy I went. Curt is amazing, straightforward, and fast! I'll be bringing my car here for now on for any future service intervals.

I took my vehicle over to this shop to get it look at due to my vehicle vibrating excessively. Curt was very friendly and professional as he was determining my concerns for my vehicle. He promptly took the vehicle to get it looked at. Nate, their head mechanic, determine that my vehicle had misfiring cylinders and was able to fix the issue. My whole experience at this establishment was very smooth and stress free. I highly recommend this shop to get your vehicle issue resolved. Thanks Performance Automotive!

Curt and the team are amazing, almost like car repair magicians... I had my car towed there for a radiator repair which was estimated to be completed after the holiday break. Curt called that day, letting me know the car was ready for pick up (5 days early, that's right... 5 days early). This will be my new home for auto repairs, and highly recommended. Hats off to you Curt and the team for an amazing experience!

Family owned and trustworthy shop. They will not charge you for things you do not need, even tell you if they are not needed. Prices are right and the time for turn around is excellent.

Very friendly and helpful. I felt like I was in safe hands. I was shopping for a used car and took it here to be inspected before I made a purchase. They gave me very honest and helpful advice. As I was leaving he gave me some advice on what type of car to look for. This was above and beyond what I expect.

Bought a 2017 VW Passat used at a dealership. Was given free oil changes at the same dealership. After 1st change the dealership where I bought my car couldn't figure out how to turn off sensor light and put screw in wrong for my pan. Drove directly from dealership (not vw dealer) to Performance Auto where they immediately knew how to turn off sensor and fixed the mess the dealership caused. They know their stuff and wont take my car anywhere else going forward.

I brought in my 2011 Lexus IS F to get a clucking checked out and PAI was able to pin point the noise in a very reasonable amount of time, and even showed me first hand what was causing it. Nothing but professionalism, kindness and respect from these guys. They are amazing at what they do, I would not hesitate to bring my car here for any kind of work, especially for a performance oriented vehicle such as my F, even though I live clear on the other side of Columbus. Waiting room was very comfortable and homey, plus their personable personality made it that much better. Their shop is also very clean. As someone who works in the industry, I can comfortably say this is an above and beyond shop with very respectable prices.

I highly recommend this business. I'm new in town. My car needed a B3 service. I researched different shops and saw the positive reviews for this company. I scheduled an appointment and took my car in. They looked it over, gave me a quote, I accepted the quote and they serviced my car. This was the first time I got the feeling that the business actually cared about the job they were doing for me. I highly recommend them, especially for single ladies who don't have a spouse to handle their car maintenance.

It is very difficult to rate this company as my sales person Jon Williams did a fantastic job of selling the car and answering all the questions I had. I give him 5 stars. He then handed me off to finance that completely dropped the ball. Had I know how bad the follow up was going to be with finance I would have paid cash for the car. They never followed up with me, I received all my title paperwork, returned from the state in the mail with some chicken scratched note that I have no idea what says and my loan paperwork never got to my address before my first payment was due. As normal, I had to spend hours on the phone and at the DMV sorting out my title and my loan. I give finance 1 star at best. My suggestion to anyone buying a car here is to find a different wat to get financing.

My air conditioning was blowing hot, but a recharge from Valvoline didn't fix the problem. They suspected something else was wrong with my ac system and suggested I visit a full service shop for an inspection. I called Performance Automotive based on the other positive reviews I saw online, and I'm so grateful I did. Everyone I spoke with was professional and polite. The technician, Kurt, informed me my car type is prone to a certain malfunction, and ordered a new relay for me right there over the phone, just in case, without even seeing my car. I was able to bring my car in the same afternoon, and what do you know! It was the relay! Took the gentleman 30 minutes to fix it, and for a very reasonable price. I really am so thankful to Kurt and to the team at Performance Automotive. If I ever need something done again, I'll be calling these guys first. I hope you give them a chance, too.

Performance Auto is a shop that specializes in European and Japanese vehicles. They have been in business since 1982. They are highly skilled, honest and go the extra mile to make sure your vehicle is repaired properly. They do everything from oil changes to engine changes and everything in between. Chris, Curt and Nate are great guys if you're in the market for a shop to have your European or Japanese auto worked on I would highly recommend Performance Auto.

Took my Z4 to these guy based off a friend's recommendation and it was worth the time. No lie its hard to go to a shop for the first time without concern about being taking for a ride. Pun intended lol. Curtis took care of me. I crossed the recommendation with some mechanic buddies and the costs were spot on. I was excpecting a decent bill since it was a BMW but to my surprise it was very reasonable. I also asked if they could have everything done by a specific day and they delivered it a day early. Very happy with my experience and 100% will be taking it back for future work. Great job Performance Automotive. You just earned yourself repeat business.
