I brought my car in for a simple evaluation of a minor coolant leak, and now I’m dealing with a far worse problem. Since the evaluation, my car is leaking all of its coolant, and I have no idea what was done to cause this. This is completely unacceptable. I tried to communicate with the service agente to address the issue before writing this review, but I received no response. I trusted this place to handle a small issue, and now I’m stuck with a much bigger problem. Extremely frustrated and disappointed with the lack of accountability. Avoid this dealership if you care about your car and customer service.

I had a very disappointing experience with this service. I ordered a tire and was asked to return once it arrived. I showed up as instructed and waited an hour, only to be informed that it would take an additional 45 minutes to an hour to install—a job that usually takes only 5 minutes. To make matters worse, as a justification I was told the tire “arrived” at 5 p.m., only the conversation was 4:50 p.m. :p The lack of communication, respect, and professionalism was frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this service.

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change, but it took the service department over two and a half hours to complete it. I recommend not waiting, as appointments seem to have no relevance to the priority of service.

This place is a joke, first I did not receive a reminder notification for my appointment. I brought my card key and the employee said “we can only use the physical key to service the car”. Mind you the card key is a physical key to my car. Not only did I waste my time to bring the car in for service the gentleman did not even apologize for failing to have anyone notify me of the appointment or to tell me that I was required to bring the alternative key. I am definitely dissatisfied with the customer service, failure to notify me of my appointment and lack of communication from the BMW service desk.

I purchased a brand new 2023 m340, when I took it in for its second oil change there was a small error that required me to go back to the dealer but management, Angelo, and Doran took care of me extremely well. It was a pleasure. I want to shout out Angelo the Service Advisor for his excellent service to all customers, he should be rewarded for his service. In addition I met Doran the Service Floor man who helped get me back in order very quickly, special thanks to him as well he was super nice and taught me something new about my m340 on my way out. Thankful for the team at Perillo.

This can be the worst BMW service center I have ever encountered. I wish I’ve seen all these negative reviews before. As soon as I arrived, I almost didn’t feel safe to leave my car at this place. Their technology is far behind than other service providers, they sent me a ridiculous link that was supposedly my car’s inspection video, but all I received was a generic YouTube video that talks about tires. Also their staff are NOT welcoming and helpful at all for some reason. I contacted them to get further information on the inspection and next steps, but all I got was “We need to do this, do you approve?”. I will never ever bring my car here. I will also submit a ticket to BMW itself about this place.

I would not recommend using this dealership for your regular maintenance, especially if you are the kind of person who pays attention to the quality of care your car receives. I left my car here for an oil change and a semi-annual inspection. This was my first encounter with this dealership and I had high expectations given that this is a BMW dealership. When I received the car back, I wasn’t briefed on any of the maintenance aspects of the inspection, they just changed the oil. Later that day, after I already left the dealership, I noticed that there was minor cosmetic damage to the interior of my car that wasn’t there before. I contacted the dealership multiple times regarding the damage, and finally I received a callback where they insinuated that I made it all up and then magnanimously offered to split the cost of the repair, again, insinuating that they are only doing it out of the goodness of their heart. This is not the kind of service that one would expect from BMW. If you are a car person and you are looking for a place that would treat your vehicle well - this is the wrong place.

I’ve owned BMWs while living in 3 different major cities over the last ten years, Perillo has been my worst and most frustrating experience. Recently had a vehicle in and the service rep attempted to get me to sign off on work that wasn’t needed (let alone tested). Nature of the quote was completely deceptive. On top of that, 4% service charge on parts for the cost of tools etc? Come on.. did add a second star purely based on speed to get work completed.

This place unknowingly signed me up for what's called the BMW 3-Year Ultimate Care Oil Service plan that they snuck in among some other repair work that they recommended to be done, costing over 1k. I just found out about it now, two years later! I only needed 1 oil change at the time in 2022 but apparently paid for 3 years worth of "unlimited" oil changes in advance. Last year when I got an oil change for the car at a different authorized BMW service location, the 3 year plan was not used and I was charged for another oil change for over $100. The Chicago BMW Perillo Service Center stated that the oil changes only were allowed to be done in Chicago and not anywhere else, which I found out later was not true. The plan can be used at any BMW authorized location. Not only was the wrong information relayed to me, besides the unknown service that I had apparently signed up for, but the customer service was also bad. Every time I had called, I was just transferred over and over again to sales then back to service then sales and back to service, etc. repeatedly... nobody seemed to know anything and I was given the wrong customer relations phone # by the receptionist who also had hung up on me before I even finished talking and the manager failed to ever call me back regarding the confusion over the whole oil change plan, period. Sorry, but I would not recommend dealing with BMW Perillo Chicago. They don't even have the right information. Also, for anybody who wants to sign up for the 3 year oil change plan, just so you know it can only be used for the same vehicle, so only for 1 VIN. You can't even use it for a different BMW vehicle. Is it a good deal overall? Not sure, but paying in advance for 3 years for something is not something I recommend. You just don't know if you can even use the same vehicle for that long in advance.

Quoted me over $5,000 in work, when I took it to another shop for a second option, the same work (and a couple other items) came back under $2,000. They will lie and overcharge you for no reason.

I am a longtime Perillo BMW service customer (or "Gold Coast Motor Cars" as they sometimes style themselves), and my experiences with their work have been very good. Their service team has been responsive—Ana Salgado and Alex Padalko in particular have been wonderful. However, their cashiers' conduct today was disgraceful. In the past, our caregiver has picked up our car and I have paid for the service online. No problem. However, without telling us ahead of time, Perillo apparently changed their pickup policy, such that they no longer accept remote payments. Because they did not tell us about this "new policy," we did not make arrangements for our caregiver to be able to pay when she arrived to pick up the vehicle. This created a problem, because our caregiver was due to pick up our young children from school. We explained the situation to Perillo and asked them to release the car so our caregiver could pick up the children. In a word, their response was heartless. I offered to pay over the phone, and I offered to immediately leave my office downtown to come pay the bill. Perillo refused any of these solutions, instead explaining to me over the phone—"as a courtesy"—the details of their policy change. Two employees told me there was nothing they could do, while they supposedly tried in vain to reach someone with authority to authorize a remote payment. They did not say whether this was possible, and could not even tell us how long it would take to find out. Ultimately, Perillo never did anything to release the vehicle without payment. Our caregiver was able to leave only after I made arrangements through our credit card company for her to be able to pay on site. Bottom line: Perillo blindly adhered to an unannounced new policy, and would not budge to accommodate a longtime customer whose kids were left waiting at school.

I brought my BMW in for factor recall service. I waited to bring it in until they had the parts available and confirmed on Wednesday that they had everything they needed and it would be out in a day. One day before dropping it off, service called an confirmed that the parts were set aside for the repair. 45 minutes before closing I get a call that they need to order a part for the recall and the car would not be available for 3-4 days. I asked to speak to the person who told me the part was there and set aside for my service but they had no idea who it was. The mechanic had also left for the day and my car is in pieces. I saw the warnings about Perillo but decided to go to them since BMW would only do the recall work at a dealership. ---------------------------- They called me today, so I called them back. They said that all the work was done and I should pick up the car. (I had my doubts) I went to the front desk and they said all the work was done. Sign the paperwork. I told them I'd sign after I saw the work. They brought the car down asked for the paperwork and I told Angelo to show me the new parts. He looked it up and said, it wasn't completed, they still don't have the part. If I hadn't asked to see the part they would have scammed me. This isn't just unethical, it's illegal

Really, really bad service. They always overcharge and find something that surprisingly needs to be replaced. I recommend going to any other BMW service center. This place is shady, staff is rude, etc.. Do not waste your time or money at this place.

The only place to have your car serviced. I have 2 BMW's. They keep them in tip top shape. Hourly rates are high though.

They are totally scammers. I change tires on my Rolls Royce with them and they did bad alignment. Car shaking , when i came back they told me you probably hit some potholes and now you have change wheels. My car was driving smooth before I came to this shop. Stay away from Bradley Inguagiato he is just trying to sell more and more repairs . Plus Perrilo sold me car coupe months before that means they are all scammers!!!

They recommended several fixes that totaled $4k that would not have corrected the issue. I went to another shop that immediately identified the issue which was just a $40 piece and less than an hour of work.

This is the tale of two reviews. The first part is a 1 star (wait… is there anything lower than 1?). But the important part of the experience is a solid 5 star. The 1 Star: I arrived on time for my appointment with the service department. When I pulled into the garage, everyone looked annoyed that they were working there. I tried to motion to someone to find out where I should park. Everyone avoided eye contact. There were 6 people standing around acting like a bunch of junior high kids pretending to be busy at summer job. When I asked someone where I should go, he snapped at me like I insulted his grandmother. Then I waited outside my car while the teenagers clicked away on their computers with no one around. I nearly left. The 5 Star: Finally the only friendly looking person called me over to a computer. She was good. She asked some questions. I need to do a test drive with a mechanic she says. She calls over Darin, the foreman. I hit the jackpot here. Darin is amazingly knowledgeable and friendly. I won’t bore you with details, but I have had 3 other mechanics look at this, and Darin hit it within 20 minutes and then made recommendations that saved me a ton of money. I would have hugged him, but that might have been weird. Anyway, be prepared to be snubbed by the teenagers when you show up. Then ask for Darin. And then be prepared for the urge to hug him.
