This guy is psycho I visited the shop to discuss an issue with my car’s AC compressor. The technician advised me not to purchase a new compressor until someone could inspect the car. He offered to check it for me. However, once I parked my car in the garage, he mentioned a $75 fee just for the inspection. I expressed concern, stating that $75 seemed excessive for just checking the car. At that point, he became hostile, yelling and telling me to leave, saying he had other work to do.”

The man's is a fluke he will pretend to fix your car and then next few days it will brake down again pete doesn't know what he is doing he will just take your money just go somewhere else! 6 times I came to him to diagnose the problem all 6 times he said nothing is wrong but the problem is still there even worse don't waste your time or money

Pete is an honest and great guy. I don't know a lot about cars (basics only) so I'm always skeptical about being scammed but Pete is honest and up front. Came in for a tire leak but found my new permanent mechanic!

I found Pete while I was getting a car wash about 7 years ago , he helped me with my Nissan after I heard some problems . I was not financially able to fix things but Pete gave me great prices and fixed things At a REASONABLE price . I have recommended him to my friends for his honesty , authenticity and the way he solves a problem and literally goes above and beyond . He will find options with other mechanics friends of his and gets the problem fixed . I got a new car and live in Evanston now , but still drive to him with my car needs . 10000% recommend .

I’m a bit disappointed in myself for not writing about Pete and his shop sooner considering I have been going here for years (since 2013) Mr. Pete is an old school mechanic who is knowledgeable, kind and very honest. Honest to the point where non-car people might think he’s being brash or too forward but…he’s been right 100% of the time with me. If you want a mechanic who will just say “your car is fine” and let you be, then go somewhere else. Mr. Pete has been working on cars for quite some time and his knowledge of car manufacturers is impressive. During his jobs, Pete has chairs stationed around the garage and I’ve never missed the opportunity to sit and watch Pete do car work while picking his brain. If you have a conversation with him about these things, you realize just how seriously he takes his job. He’s a one man army and people will pull up asking Pete if he’s available because it’s worth the wait. The neighborhood loves him - there is always someone Pete helped out coming in to simply say hi. I’d encourage anyone in Albany Park or in Chicago to visit Pete’s garage before going anywhere else. He gives you his best advice and if he can help, he does a killer job.

There are few like Pete. Career professional, kind, personable, and follows through on the job. He stayed late and came in early the next day to make sure we would have a safe, functioning vehicle for our road trip back east, right before the holidays. That should be enough to tell you the kind of mechanic he is...no question about it. As long as he's in business, I'll be taking my car to Pete's

Very experienced. He could tell, without looking, my muffler exhaust system was ok even tho it was raddaling, due to no oil in the engine!
