I had a very unfavorable experience here. Called a week ahead for my 2012 Tundra to get my tires rotated, e-brake tightened, coolant drain and refilled (not flushed), and lastly to check my transmission fluid level. Upon arriving the workers were rude and non-welcoming. I told them exactly what I wanted done as we already spoke about before. I emphasized when giving over my keys that I wanted my transmission fluid level checked which for Tundras which have sealed transmissions you’re supposed to turn it on run it to temp, open the transmission thermostat, and check the “check bolt” to see if it comes out, drips, etc. After giving my keys and waiting 3 hours they finished and I payed. When I was paying I asked about my transmission fluid level and the couple second hesitation instantly made me realize they did not check at all. He tried to back it up being like “Oh yeah its uhh probably good, its good.” And I stated “so you didn’t actually check.” Which was already annoying and when I left to drive the truck the whole thing was vibrating horrible on the highway the gear shifter was vibrating, the dashboard, everything. I pulled over and I was stopping the car felt like it was stuttering around. Called and went back immediately, took them another 1.5 hours to loosen my e-brake which they over tightened. To seal the deal they did not seem care or apologize of anything and I left. Horrible service, 4.5 hours of work for small project, and didn’t even do one aspect of the work I requested a week ago. Note to self don’t come here I was doing this out of convenience because I don’t have jacks and jack stands in San Diego but I should’ve just done it myself than risk this place.

Shoutout to these guys for letting me walk in same day for a vehicle inspection. Had a little incident with a curb this morning and they were able to reassure me there was no undercarriage or frame damage. Just cosmetic scratches. Highly recommend them.

Phan and his boys provide a fantastic service at reasonable & affordable prices. Very efficient and experienced technicians. My 2005 Lexus ls430 needed a timing belt and water pump replacement. Dropped the car off to their hands in the morning when they opened and received the vehicle in the afternoon. Updated me throughout the process, I will bring all my vehicles their way as it’s very hard to find reputable and honest service mechanics nowadays. Look no further these guys are the real deal! 11/10 auto repair service here! My car was shaking and had a check engine light, and Phan's Auto Repair was able to take me in as a walk-in. Everyone I worked with was incredibly nice and professional - they were able to figure out what the problem was and fix it within a few hours. I would like to add that they also charge a fraction of the price to diagnose (and do services) when compared to any other auto shop that I've been to. I will most definitely be back if I have any car issues and highly recommend anyone else needing timely and fairly priced repairs. Thank you guys again!

I found this business through Yelp when looking for a used car inspection. I bought a used car off a website. The website stated they do their own inspection but I was wary. The website offered a return policy so I did my due diligence and opted for an independent inspection. Phan’s price was very competitive compared to other mechanics in the area. I was a walk-in appointment in the morning and served in a reasonable amount of time. What surprised me was how much more thorough Phan’s was with the inspection in comparison to their competitors that cost 4-5x as much. The insight provided was very helpful and gave me piece of mind.
