The reviews are true. Value for money, this shop is a solid operation (domestic or imports). Walkable from Grosse Pointe and East English Village, pricing is fair for brakes, and they ensured that I got the exact aftermarket parts that I wanted. Plus, Mike is responsive and easy to reach. Running a shop like this is hard work. Fortunate to have a gem like this in the neighborhood. Bonus points for getting on the schedule within a few days.

I went here with my 2012 toyota camry for an AC issue. It was not blowing cold air consistently. Mike said that there would need to be a compressor replacement. He took the freeon that I had purchased and stated that he would use it to refill.Therefore I would not have to pay any additional. So far, everything seemed ok. I was told that the ac compressor would need to be a More expensive part and the total job was going to cost 800 dollars After picking up the car, Ac was blowing cold air. After one week, The same issue started happening again. I called the shop And they stated that now this could be a gauge issue. Extremely frustrating experience that such an expensive job could not solve the problem. So now I am going to have to go to a new mechanic to get the same issue looked at because a different opinion His warranted at this point after spending so much money here.

Took my car here to get worked on. The did not tell me the price beforehand but in the end it was a fair price. Would recommend this place to anyone! Definitely recommend checking them out if you're looking for something similar. Five stars from me!

Asked them to look at a stuck sunroof. After taking a look, said they would be willing to try. But, advised I'd be better off going to a sunroof specialist. Even went and got a number I could call. Ultimately had the repair I wanted completed. Could have kept it and charged crazy money, but referred me elsewhere. That is honest service.

By far the best: knowledge, price, speed, integrity, you name it. Mike is the classic good guy mechanic of old times like it used to be, something which is missing at a lot of shops these days.

I honestly don’t write reviews very often at all. But, after taking my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Mike, I had to give him and his shop a 5 star review! I’m always looking for honesty, integrity, and human decency in people. Mike and his co-worker checks all the boxes. He’s extremely knowledgeable, and a great listener as well. He fixed my Jeep for me on two separate occasions. The prices charged, were extremely fair and reasonable (other shops wanted double to triple the amount that Mike charged me)! I have been burned by so many automotive shops, that I actually lost faith in trusting people with repairing my vehicles. I’m sure I’m not alone in this one. Thank you Mike for having an honest heart and a conscience. You will be blessed for it, more than you’ll ever know! I am a customer of yours now!.Keep up the good professional work that you do! Thank you.

I work in sales and my truck broke down while out of town in Detroit. I googled auto repair service and this happened to be the closest one. When I called the gentleman offered to send a tow truck right away. It wasn't needed but when I pulled in he immediately diagnosed the issue. I'm apprehensive of anything that has to do with my vehicle; he put my mind at ease right away. My truck was fixed at an amazing price. I believe the guys name was Mike. Thank God there are men out there that are honest and helpful! I highly recommend this company!

Mike found ry a small hole in my muffler tailpipe and told me I can still drive it won't get in trouble by the police he didn't try to rip me off he was very honest with me

Mike at Pointe Auto Tech and his employees are good people. They are a great community small business ! He even let another local business "Doggie Scoops" use his dumpster to dispose of all their waste, until Doggie Scoops took advantage and turned out to be a bunch of trash people.. Doggie Scoops gets a big 👎. But Mike and his guys at Pointe Auto Tech are 💯 for any of your mechanical needs

I've been looking for a good mechanic close to me, and I think I found one. He fixed my truck quickly, knew exactly what was wrong just by our conversation when other mechanics were confused, saved us money, and when my kid came in with me to pick up the truck my kid struck up a conversation with Mike and he gave my kid a toy car, which really made his week. I'll be taking our trucks here

Dude is good, friendly, and knowledgeable. The work is quality and he'll even send pics if something is abnormal. The transparency is appreciated. Only knock, it's only like 2 guys there so the work is a bit slow. But the prices are good and it will be done right. So I can't even knock him for it.

No one wants an auto repair bill and mechanical failures always come at the most inconvenient time. Especially, as a fixed income senior citizen. However, if you’re seeking a professional repair “partner” for maintenance, repairs, tips, and your safety then Pointe Auto is the answer. Mike has been my go to for several years now, and this most recent experience has topped the charts! He took a look at my truck, shared his analysis, and asked that I leave it with him for my safety and to prevent further damage. My safety came first! Upon receiving his call notifying me of repair completion (within 24 hrs), he advised he had also done another minor repair to make the driving experience more pleasurable. I’ve referred others to him through word of mouth but sometimes you just have to document the good works of others. It’s definitely appreciated!

The only mechanic I’ll go to out here. Great prices,m and great punctuality! Just a truly honest mechanic. I don’t normally edit reviews that i’ve posted but WOW this shop is absolutely stellar in both punctuality and job performance. They have been the only mechanic that I will ever take my vehicles to in the Detroit area! Great prices and our cars are never there longer than a few days! Highly recommend this shop!!

This was my second visit over the last 2yrs. Mike was very helpful and knowledgeable. They got me in the same day and took care of my Town & Country. The prices were reasonable and I didn’t have to go back and forth because they forgot to do something or because the problem was still there. Good & dependable.

I called them to see how fast I could get my car in. I was told that they'd be able to get me right in. Once I got there, it was 5 min and they had already pulled my car in. He was able to tell me exactly what was wrong and had it fixed in no time. The only downsized the nearly $20 they charge for using cards. I will go back with cash in hand

Mike is incredibly friendly and very experienced. He is extremely quick and accurate in diagnosing problems, and has never tried to talk me into getting work done that wasn’t necessary. I’m grateful to have a good mechanic so close to home!

Pointe Auto is one of the efficient, inspectioning and reasonable and complete licensed professionals me mechanic's I've been BLESSED to come across. My entire family only allows Pointe Auto to touch OUR VEHICLES. Mike and Chris are exceptional. They are car physician. They do not play. They are HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY. THEY DIAGNOSE YOU VEHICLE AND TELL YOU EXACTLY WHAT IT IS. WAIT THEY WILL ALSO TELL YOU IF IT CAN BE FIXED AND IF ITS WORTH FIXING. SERIOUSLY THATS FACTS. IN OUTHER WORDS. DONT WASTE MONEY ON A LEMON. I Love these guys.
