Note that review is for the body shop, it's a bit confusing on Google Maps, but they're two separate (and related?) shops? Car got hit-and-run while parked to the point where water was getting in on the passenger side because the window frame was wrecked. Insurance company wouldn't cover it, and I needed quick work anyway because I move pretty frequently. Chris asked for details while I was out on travel, and he was quickly able to find a barely scuffed used door to replace the (unfortunately irreparable) old one. A day after he got it, the work was done, and at a good price, particularly after the cash discount. No complaints with the quality of the work, he buffed out any rust spots on the new door, kept the internal components working propoerly, and even got the radio working again randomly!

They are great! Willing to work with you to make sure your service is affordable and quality that meets your standards. Definitely will be back if I need anything fixed on my car. Friendly staff who are willing to explain what you dont understand. I dont understand cars that much but they were patient and took the time to explain my options and the reasoning behind them.

I had hit 100,000 miles on my Chevy, got the notification that the timing belt needed replaced, there was also an issue where I kept losing coolant and it seemed to be common among my vehicle since it used plastic parts and they did what appeared to be a thourough job on the install. I took it to Pons based on convenience of being a greenfield shop and having solid reviews. I dropped it off and the techs showed me the parts they pulled from the vehicle and how warped/deformed they were which sent home the message how a decade of driving affects your vehicle. They replaced my water pump, the thermostat housing, the air intake hose into my engine along with the timing belt. I paid them for their work and drove off. A few weeks later I lost all my coolant. Took it back in and they found that the issue was an o-ring that they didn't install correctly, Pons fixed it, they covered the cost of labor so I'm not terribly upset about it but rolled with it. About 6 months later I got the "engine overheating" notification in my car, I saw that I was out of coolant again. I took it into Pons the next day and they claimed that it looked fine, they pressure tested it (engine was not running and relatively cold if I recall, not a long drive) and no air leaks came out. I left and drove around after adding coolant and found the leak at the surface where the thermostat mated with the radiator hose (video) and from there I brought it to their attention and they claimed that they only replaced the thermostat housing and not the thermostat so that wasn't covered by the parts and warranty and suggested that I fix it since "it's just 3 bolts and I'm a handy guy". I understand that they're a busy shop so I did what I could to fix it by re-attaching the hose and that seemed to have fixed it, but I was still losing coolant somewhere. They suggested it could be a head gasket leak and I made plans to test for that in the future. Soon after, there was a whining sound coming from my passenger side of my car and I was intending on bringing it into PONS to take a look, all of a sudden there was a clang and a loud whine, I shut off the engine and found the water pump that they installed had come loose and caused the serpentine belt to come off the pulley and fail. (photo) The tow guy also found a puddle of coolant being left under my vehicle under and recommended the auto shop take a look for leaks. I called a tow and I took it to a different shop recommended by my neighbors since PONS' parking lot looked a bit cumbersome for a tow to get into and it was always looked full. The different shop's diagnostics found that the bolts holding the water pump had failed; along with that they found that the coolant leak was from the thermostat housing installation not mating properly. I had to shell out for a new belt, thermostat housing, water pump, and the cost of labor to fix the issue caused by the pump. I don't like writing bad reviews, especially with a shop that I feel has people that do good work in most circumstances (they did a thourough pressure test at no cost to me, and the work on their initial o-ring install is commendable) but the water pump failure and the leaks attributed to the thermostat housing that they did not catch has unfortunately led me to not recommend this shop going forward.

I have taken my car to Justin for a few years now. I won’t let anyone else work on my car and always contact him for questions about my car. He is extremely knowledgeable and always goes above and beyond to make sure I’m taken care of. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Justin & his team went above and beyond to repair my car. They kept me updated along the way and even offered to do my inspection, saving me an extra trip later in the month. Pricing was extremely reasonable—the repair had the lowest quote from the shops I called and they did the job with care & attention to detail. They turned a stressful situation into something more manageable— I thank them for their kindness and expertise!

Let me just start out by saying Justin and his team are awesome! brought my vehicle in for a few check engine lights and not only did they get each and every issue resolved but they also went above and beyond with repairing a few things for NO CHARGE that i didn't even mention to them! Great pricing, Great work and Great customer service with keeping me updated on everything they did thru the process. Also if your looking to purchase a used vehicle be sure to check there inventory out we bought a car off them a few years back that is still running strong & serving our kid well at college! I have been very grateful for the care that my Honda civic receives at Pons. Everyone there understands how important my old car is to me, and the car runs as efficiently now as it did in 2007 ! All the mechanics are fun loving and courteous. My car is in good hands !!!

I’m just going to say that I’m glad I came across with this shop. I was about to spend $1600 on oil pan change courtesy of my ford dealership, until I spoke with one of my good friends and he forwarded me to Justin who immediately understood my situation and he offered an easy and an inexpensive fix, so i called AAA and bring my Mustang to his shop. Unfortunately he couldn’t work on my car because was closed but as soon Monday arrived, Justin called me to tell me that the oil pan was fixed and he also discovered that one of my bands was getting bad so he repaired that and overall the price with labor was fair. I will definitely recommend this shop for your car needs, Justin was very friendly and professional.

We just took our vehicle in to Pons for the first time, after living in Greenfield for over 15 years, and I'm so impressed with their service, speed, prices, and quality. Justin Pons was responsive and thorough, and even found and fixed a loose panel I meant to tell him about but forgot to mention beforehand. His quote was 100% accurate, and was half of what the dealership wanted for less work. Everything was finished a day sooner than I expected. We will absolutely be back!

Justin is a top-notch mechanic and I was thoroughly impressed with his service today. I called the shop at 12:30 on a Tuesday afternoon reporting a brake issue, and he offered to let me bring my car in same day. Responsive and courteous communication throughout the day-- he even FaceTimed me to explain the issue and fix in real time, and sent photos of the before and after when the job was done. Within minutes of me approving his very fair and honest quote he got to work procuring the replacement rotors and brake pads for my Subaru Impreza, and called me 2 hours later to report my car was fixed. Shoutout to Josh as well as I think they worked together today-- they're both just awesome, respectful guys that really know their stuff and don't talk down to you. This will be my new regular shop in Pittsburgh!

Did annual inspection there and was charged way higher than a Subaru dealer. I made an appointment at 8:30 but they did not finished until late afternoon. Find somewhere else if you have other choices.

I moved to Pittsburgh 3 years ago and have used a different shop every time I needed work done. Just got my car back from Justin at Pons, and finally found the place to take our cars. He accommodated the tow truck well, gave me an accurate quote, was very knowledgeable, and cleaned the engine compartment meticulously. I had the car back in a day. Highly recommend Pons.

Excellent service and communication. Chris is easy to work with and get gets the job done when he says it will be done. Very fair price. Plus, if you need to take the bus home, it's close to a few routes between Oakland, Hazelwood, and Downtown.

I recently moved to Greenfield and when my car wouldn't start this Sunday my neighbors promised me Pons was great. They were extremely right. Pons was closed, but Justin started texting me on Sunday after I left a voicemail to reassure me and let me know about availability. After a bunch of maintenance issues, clear communication, and no upselling or speaking down to me, car was finished quickly and with a lot of care. Justin even washed ithe car at no cost after a sparrow had a bit of an obsession with it the week before. Cannot recommend Pons enough, extremely grateful a wonderful garage is right down the street from me!

Had a great experience getting the spark plugs in my sedan replaced. The folks at Pons were able to get me in the morning after I called, and they did a great job for an agreeable price. Communicative and knowledgeable mechanics that I will return to for my future auto service needs.

Pons is like having a friendly small town shop in the middle of the city. Unfortunately my car was totaled in the middle of the night - rear ended on Beechwood. Lenny, the tow truck operator, checked on my car for the next several hours so he could tell me what happened. He was incredibly friendly and informative - I would've been in the dark if it wasn't for him. I had 24/7 access to my car while it was at Pons. Incredibly great experience and I couldn't give a better review.
