By far the best. Mike and his staff are always very helpful . Been going to him for about 6 years n I moved a year ago from that area and still go to him. I trust no one else . After bad experiences with untrusty mechanics he is very trustworthy n honest . Highly highly recommend

After a horrible morning in the rain with a broken down car, I called this mechanic for a quote which was reasonable compared to surrounding mechanic shops. I decided this was the best place to go. They even referred me to an amazing tow truck driver who was also reasonably priced and even drove me and my son home. My car was ready the same day and these kind gentlemen surprised me with an even better rate than expected. They even fixed a minor issue I had in my car door handle on my departure. What started off as what seemed like the worst day ended up being such a positive one. I am beyond grateful for Practical Auto and couldn’t recommend them enough.

Mike runs a great shop. I have taken many personal and company vehicles here. Most recently did a good amount of work on my older BMW M5, which I am very OCD about, and did a great job. Recommend

Boyyyyy when I tell you I have never felt more COMFORTABLE at an auto shop in my life until I came here….. I’m so serious. Just the thought of taking my truck (Nissan Titan Xd) in to get repaired give me ANXIETY but went to this shop and they talked me me like a PERSON and not my gender. Although I don’t know much about vehicles they ALWAYS take the time to explain to me what is going on and that little gesture makes me feel like I can trust them 100%. Got my oil and all four brakes done, I’m just in heaven. Good prices! Love the humor they have as well! They call my truck a limousine😂 and that’s how they know me 😂 10/10 would recommend.

I came here early on a Saturday morning to get someone to look at my engine and do repairs because they’re close and they got good reviews. I’ve never been here before first of all when I wanted the guy to check my engine he tried to charge me $100 for a diagnosis report when you could get that done for free at AutoZone and which I showed him the report from AutoZone so that right there seems shady that he was trying to charge me for that then he tried to charge $600 just for a tuneup which is absolutely ridiculous. Took my car and my business elsewhere!

The only thing I got was a suspension diagnostic but unfortunately I got a 2300 dollar estimate off that 75 dollar diagnostic. I took it to another honest shop and and it was 600 dollars less. The difference was the markup on the parts, the 150 and hour shop time and miscelaneous services being charged up. I only got an estimate at this place but it was way high it is possible the service will make up the price difference but most likely it is just the memorial area location driving the price difference. I just did not feel comfortable spending that much money on that repair and come to find out somewhere else I did not have to.

These guys are the best I've found in 49 years of operating or owning cars in 8 states. They are honest and actually care about their customers. As long as I live in Houston, they are my go-to guys. If I could give them 100 stars, I would do so.

I have been going there for many years they have always done a good job at a fair price . I had a service business and had several vans we have 3 auto repair shops at our business park but would bring them to practical auto and they where 20 minutes away I am moving out of Houston so good luck guys at practical auto

I've tried giving this place a chance, but I'm always disappointed. First impressions are everything, btw. When it was owned by the father (I think), it was a great place to go. Now they have a young man at the counter with a stuck up attitude, unfriendly, imo. It's already intimidating going into an automotive place, but attitudes make it worse. I won't ever go again.

Mike has done work on both of my vehicles! He’s taken care of my brakes and recently diagnosed and fixed an electrical problem. I have been taking him my vehicles for State inspections for a number of years. He has gained my trust and I will be taking my vehicles to him for years to come.

This is my 2nd time coming and they never disappointed me. The service is fast and easy also Never any bad customer service.
