I have been dealing with Precision Tune for over 6 yrs or more and I’ve never had any issues or problems with them at all,their customer service and care is very professional and reliable with their information on how I should handle my purchases towards my vehicle service and parts. Jack Bickel strikes again… I stopped doing business at the New Bern location solely because of Jack. I took my vehicle in to get the alternator replaced at 11am. I specifically asked if the service could be completed today and he said yes shorty. After checking in I asked again how long it would be before someone could check my truck out and he said an hour and a half two hours at the most. I called back at 3:30pm and the guy that answered the phone didn’t see the clip board for my vehicle and didn’t know what I was talking about. Jack did get on the phone and say my vehicle would be pulling next. I arrived back to the location right before close and the lights were out, no employee to be seen besides Jack standing at the desk on his cell phone. He unlocked the door with a smirk on his face and said “we wasn’t able to get to your car”. Communication is a problem but the issue came when I got to my vehicle that was parked in the exactly place I left it. The doors were unlocked when Im absolutely positive I locked them prior to leaving.

Walked in to get my brakes checked. I needed pads & rotors for both front and rear of my car. Jack assisted me and applied an online coupon for $80 Off when calculating my total cost, which I appreciated and, they had my car ready within the 2 hour time estimate provided.

I purchased an $18 Canister Purge Valve and took it to Precision Tune to have them install it because I don't have the tools on hand to do it. Mind you, it's not a complicated fix, and it's easy to get to. WHY were they trying to charge me over $200 to install a part that maybe takes 15 minutes max to switch out?? I'm so tired of this place ripping people off. Precision Tune is only as good as their mechanics. The staff has definitely worsened year after year. Been a loyal customer for several years, but that's about to change. I'm taking my business to another mechanic as I'm DONE with these sharks!!

This is a horrible place. The manager Jack is not professional. He was fighting with the front desk receptionist in front of customers. And one of the mechanics almost hit me while test driving another customer car. I confronted the mechanic and told him you almost hit me he was like you cut in front of me. He didn’t know I had a dash cam and I showed the customer who car he was driving and he was upset the way they handle your car in their care. The manager said “ He didn’t hit your car so you can leave I don’t want you here”. If you treat me like this when I didn’t do nothing wrong then I won’t give you my hard earned money to your business. I WILL NEVER GIVE THIS LOCATION MY MONEY EVER AGAIN OR ANY PRECISION TUNE LOCATION. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!

Went to get my SUV inspected, was told it failed due to leaking power steering pump and belt. Told them to hold off on repairs and took it to my mechanic where he said that there is nothing wrong with either. Called store and spoke to the "manager", told him what my mechanic said and all he said is "I'm sorry". AVOID AVOID AVOID

On a Saturday afternoon and 6 hours from home trip to the beach the AC locked up and was eating away our serpentine belt. The part needed to be fixed and ordered at 3pm on a Saturday. Jack the service manager was super helpful he gave us names of other area shops that may be able to help us on a Sunday. He also allowed us to bring our dog in on a 90+ degree day. Unfortunately they also couldn't get the part until Monday.....so since Jack was so helpful and empathetic to our situation. We left our car in his care and rented a car to continue our trip and Came back once our car was fixed and because he was able to have an extra day his suppliers cost was a little cheaper than he had quoted. Great customer service and quality service. We will tell our friends that live in the area to come to this shop. Jack was awesome and the mechanic assured us he will get us going! He was a blessing to a bad situation.

Jack is TERRIBLY rude. I don’t know much about cars or oil changes, but Jack was not helpful whatsoever…I’ve never experienced a “manager” that curses and hurls threats and did not posses a single iota of customer service. I have been bringing my car here for almost a year to get a variety of work done, but the last two times I went the experience was horrible having Jack at the front desk. The regular receptionist is a wonderful lady and Brandon that used to work at front desk was always helpful and answered all of my questions and always helped me find the best deal. Jack is a complete JACKASS! He was too worried about ordering his breakfast to help a returning customer that won’t EVER go back to this location.

Came in to get an oil change today and the service was extremely fast! Jack was able to assist me and has amazing customer service skills. I sat in the waiting area and watched him handle an irate customer with such grace. He handled that very well and I adore workers that are good and confident in what they do. Keep it up! I will be back for more oil changes :)

I have nothing but respect for this establishment. I experienced some car trouble on the way home from work and was lucky enough to make it to this establishment. After a diagnostic that I was told would cost 139 dollars, we found out what was wrong with the car. A defective coil had been put in my car by Meineke (off Hwy 70 Garner). After learning that, Jack (Manager) told me that I should go back to Meineke, being that the part should still be under warranty. He could have easily told me the problem and charge me to fix like most Mechanic shops would have done, and on top of that he waived the 139 diagnostic fee. Long story short Meineke disappointed me and Precision tune impressed me. From Amy (Receptionist) to Steve (Mechanic) it was nothing but a pleasant experience. They've definitely have got a new customer!!

I started my day in tears, about to start a go fund me for my grinding breaks. I called around for prices, and they were not only out of my budget, but they had no available appointments. Thank goodness I called here. The amazing manager at this location helped me to understand what was actually wrong with my car, and was able to do the repair within my budget, and within a few hours. I am mobile again, and it didn't cost me every dime I had, which is very important for a disabled person on a fixed income. The light hearted movie in the foyer (not news), the sweet receptionist, and my ability to bring my service dog with me were also very beneficial to my time there. I plan on coming back for future repairs.

The actual tech is nice and knowledgeable, doesn't mind explaining things but the lady at the front is a nightmare. She's rude beyond belief, and basically "shoos" you out. Just take the hit on gas and go to another location
