Took my Mercedes into the shop and now my windshield fluid wiper is saying empty and I have never had that notice pop up, as my car tells me immediately when I’m low on fluids. It did not pop this up til I picked it up from the shop. They said that it was “empty” when I brought it which is not the case so they definitely cracked something when I took it in to get the oil changed. I was also overcharged for my oil since my car only takes 5.8 quarts of oil and they supposedly filled up 7 quarts of oil in the car. Would not recommend. Very disappointed. I also had my dad who works with cars just check all my fluids right before bringing my car into the shop and he had filled up my fluids with no leaking. You would think they would fix what they did but when I called they didn’t even offer. Also 280 for an oil change is ridiculous when I pay less than $100 anywhere else for my car. Originally brought it in for a transmission change and they didn’t even do that for me because he ran out of time. Would have been nice if they would have communicated that to me before working on my car and doing the bare minimum and also cracking my windshield fluid reservoir because I could have picked up the car and taken it somewhere else. Royal also mentioned I did not have a drain plug at the bottom of my car for the oil and that he had to suck it up from the top. I don’t know what he’s talking about because it’s at the bottom and has never been sucked up from any other person working on my car. Very disappointed in the service provided.

After my previous mechanic, also a sole proprietor, retired after many years of threatening to, I had the daunting task of replacing him. I needed a good, experienced mechanic to help keep our aging collection of vehicles in trustworthy condition for their intended uses. A run of the mill, run up the cost of repairs mechanic was my worst nightmare. When I put out an inquiry for such a mechanic, the first response was from Liberty, the L in R&L Autoworks. Her husband, Royal, has quickly become that much hoped for replacement for my retired mechanic, Jim. I highly recommend them for some honest, effective auto mechanic work. He has some cool, old car customers.

I had the best experience EVER!!! I am so happy with the work of R&L that I wanted to keep them all to myself. I wanted to be greedy and not share but they're so honest, so capable, so professional that I just could't. Something was loose under the gear shifter so I had it towed in. I also had a couple fuses out. When I called the office, Liberty answered and completely put my mind at ease. She was so on top of everything and very personable. The job was finished by lunch and her and her husband (the mechanic himself) delivered my car. R&L cannot be beat.

We have been going to Bobby Joe and Royal for more than twenty years. Royal is 100% oriented toward giving excellent service. He is fair in his pricing and knows what he is doing. We wouldn't take our vehicles anyplace else for repair and maintenance. Royal always goes the extra mile and is totally honest. Great place to take your car or truck.

Great shop, helpful, knowledgeable, and called to ask permission with quotes before beginning any expensive work. Recommended to me by my grandmother and I'd keep the recommendation going to anyone who needs a mechanic in the area.
