Upon arriving in Chicago, I visited an auto repair shop to have my vehicle thoroughly inspected. I paid the fee for a complete diagnostic of my car. However, after the initial inspection, additional issues that were not identified initially emerged. This indicates that the initial assessment by the mechanic was incomplete. Subsequently, the mechanic informed me of other issues that needed to be addressed before proceeding with further repairs. The costs quoted for these repairs were significantly higher than the market rates. Being new to the United States, I feel that I was overcharged specifically due to my unfamiliarity with local prices. Moreover, the quality of the workmanship was extremely poor, which left me deeply dissatisfied. I plan to research whether other customers in Chicago have experienced similar issues with auto repair shops. Practices that do not adhere to customer satisfaction and transparency principles are unacceptable. Therefore, I want to express my concern and advise other customers to be cautious to avoid encountering similar situations.

Had one of the absolute worst experiences with this mechanic. I had previously taken my car in and although it was expensive I had no issues. So when another issue come up with a different car i decided to return. Took the car in, the car spent about a week in the shop. Again, the cost was pricey but figured it would be worth in. Within a few days I was dealing with the same issue. Decided to take it to a different mechanic where he advised just how grossly I was overcharged for the part and labor. Additionally, the mechanic found that the work done was not what the shop claimed to have done.

Cobraron repuestos y la mano de obra a un costo exagerado y encima más mal hecho , supuestamente tenían que arreglar la batería y despues resultó dañas otra parte que no era , y no dieron ni garantía de su trabajo , cuando quisimos que lo revisen otra vez por qué no fue ni una semana del supuesto arreglo , ellos querían cobrar otra vez por su trabajo mal hecho.

Avoid this mechanic shop at all costs, Ramon follows illegal business practices. Moreover, he capitalizes on that fact that most people do not know basic mechanics. In addition, he is not in compliance with 815 ILCS 306/ Automotive Repair Act. - Illinois General and I would strongly urge anyone to reference this law before going to any shop (something I wish I knew earlier). My sister went to repair her car with him, after using him as a mechanic for 7 years, she missguidedly trusted him and his recommendations. He initially quoted her 1,700 for repairs, without an itemized receipt. Again, because of the years of built trust and loyalty, she took his word. The next day, after receiving the full amount he quoted my sister, he coincidently charged her another 340 (and this charge came from the same repairs, in other words no new problems were seen) this is illegal, mechanics are not allowed to charge more than 15% of an original quote. Furthermore, he did not provide my sister an odometer reading, something that is vital for consumer protection, in the event that a mechanic will abide by their warranty policy or you end up going to court. This is illegal. When I spoke to Ramon, I was uniformed of the laws and I admit my ignorance to car repairs. Initially, I was able to lower is his ask from 2040 to 1,840 apx., this is barely making it a legal transaction in Illinois. After more thought and investigation, I began to question his whole sale prices on parts, although he is entitled to markup prices, he charges over a 15% percent mark up value, he marks up his parts to over 30%. This is more than other mechanics, which is why you should go elsewhere. In any case, I was in a rush and still uniformed of state laws, I accepted a 100 refund from Ramon, bringing down the grand total to his original ask. This leads to me believe that since we negotiated back to his originally ask, he still took advantage of my sister by at least 500-700 dollars. Ramon saw an opportunity to capitalize on someone who she thought had her best interest and gave him absolute loyalty with her many car repairs. Ramon broke almost every violation of the automotive repair act and is to not be trusted.

Son muy aprovechados traje mi carro para cambiar la pompa del agua,y me dijeron que en un día estaba listo y se tardaron 15 días y aparte cuando pusieron la pompa yo creo que pusieron mal la cadena del tiempo y fregaron otras cosas y me aumento la cuenta del precio que me avían dado antes, yo no quise discutir mucho y les paquete ahora estoy calando el carro aber si quedó bien,no les recomiendo este taller mecánico

They are incredible, they were able to fix my car after 4 different shops weren't capable of doing it. I haven't had any issues with my car ever since, it's been a years since, and I keep taking my car for maintenance. My car has never run this smoothly. I recommend this shop.

I HAVE TAKEN NOW TWO CARS TO THIS PLACE AND HAD WORK DONE THREE TIMES . I WAS SO VERY SATISFIED . THEY TREAT ME LIKE A CUSTOMER NOT A FEMALE . THEY DID THE WORK IN THE SAME DAY . THE PRICE THEY QUOTED WAS THE ONE THEY CHARGED. NO HIDDEN SURPRISES. NO DOING THINGS TO MAKE MY CAR SEEM WORSE SO I WILL PAY FOR A BIGGER JOB LIKE THE LAST PLACE I WENT TO. I AM SO HAPPY TO FIND THIS PLACE . I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO A PERSON THAT WANTS GOOD WORK AND REASONABLE PRICES :)
