UPDATE 05/28/24: They no longer do body work, only mechanical. They are not necessarily cheap, but when I want something done right the first time, I take it here. They really are reliable.

Reliable Auto quite literally saved my life, diagnosing a serious issue and fixing it along with several others in <36 hours at a very reasonable price. I'm new to the area and was surprised by how immediately comfortable I felt bringing my car here. It is clearly a family-owned and operated business that has been in the community for many years. Most other patrons appeared to be regulars, some even stopping by with holiday goodies as it's the week of Christmas. I cannot say how appreciative I am of the work they did, or prior reviewers for prompting me to bring my car here when I needed help!

All around fantastic shop. I used to have a beater Hyundai accent with a bunch of dents in it. It was such a junky car that I would lie to men on dates and tell them I took Uber rather than having them see my car. 🤣 I took that car here several times and the shop was nothing short of kind and honest. I now have a different and somewhat less junky car and have taken it to the shop several times. Again, they have been exceptionally honest. The prices are completely reasonable for the city and the work is finished in a relatively short amount of time considering how incredibly busy they are. Most importantly, they never tried to upsell you on services your car does not need or scare you into making unnecessary upgrades on the repairs. I highly recommend.

Been coming here for over a decade. Be realistic, they’re super popular so they can get backed up (still quick usually) but they also do a great job and will be honest with you.

Brought my car here when the sunroof was stuck open, to diagnose the problem and get the sunroof closed, which they did. The motor was burnt out, and I didn’t want to spend as much money as it would have cost to replace, but they still got it closed for me and sent me on my way. I was told they would need the weekend, they had it done in 4 hours. Would have been a 5 star experience but when I picked it up there were black smudges all over the interior, specifically on the headliner.

Whenever I go to a new auto repair shop, I'm nervous. I worry if I'm going to get some b/s and waste a bunch of money. Here, I felt like I got honest answers. The owner (assuming I spoke to the owner) was very knowledgeable and fair.

I found Reliable Auto Repair center to be exact opposite of their name. My car was stalling while idling and when my usual trusted repair shop (Ashland Tire and Auto) wasn’t able to get me in for at least a week, I decided to try out this shop right down the street. I was desperate for a repair, and they took advantage. The first red flag was when I dropped my car off they didn’t ask any follow up questions about any other symptoms or specifics to my car trouble. Concerned they might not have all the information needed to diagnose the problem, I wrote down more details on a piece of paper and handed it to the man behind the counter. To my surprise they called later on in the day and said it was repaired. The repairs consisted of cleaning the throttle and an oil change costing nearly $400. I was so relieved it was done quickly I didn’t think much of the hefty price tag. But looking back, this was the second red flag. As I was driving home from work the next day my car idled a few blocks from their shop. I was gutted. I pulled into their shop and explained that it was not in fact fixed and asked for a refund. They laughed. I felt dismissed and disregarded. This was the final red flag. They asked me if I wanted to leave it there for more repairs, but I knew that this wasn’t the reliable repair shop I needed. I wasn’t gullible enough to shell out another couple hundred bucks for them to potentially again not fix my car. I drove home in tears. That night I did some googling myself and saw that because my car was driving at 0 rpm after stalling, it was most likely a fault in the crank shaft position sensor. I bought the part and my boyfriend and myself installed it the next day solving my problem. $65 and I didn’t even have to pay for labor. You’d think this would have been the first thing they would have tried, but that would mean they would have read the paper I gave them. Instead they opted for the quickest possible fix, drove it around for a few minutes and when it didn’t stall they called it done and charged the new female customer for unnecessary repairs hoping I’d come back again for future oil changes. In my experience, this is not a repair shop that will listen to women. They will not be thorough in their repairs and what little they do “repair” will be overpriced. Save yourself the time and money and go to Ashland Tire down the street or even google would be more helpful.

I’ve only been for 2 oil changes since I moved to the city, but they’ve been great. Fair pricing, no upsells. They always seem super busy when I drop my car off, but somehow it’s always done in a couple hours. These guys have become my go to and will be my 1st stop if my car needs any major repairs.
