I went here a few days ago to get my tire plugged. I don’t typically go to shops and was nervous about being ripped off or something but the people here were so genuine. They were efficient, kind, transparent and made my first shop visit anxiety free. The owner is extremely personable and isn’t just out to get your money. I will definitely be back!

Love this place! The guys are always friendly, they never try to upsell me on anything extra, and they're a smaller garage so they always let me know if I need specialty work done that they don't handle. They're really thorough, always get me in quicker than anywhere else, and you absolutely cannot beat their prices!

Great service by great people. Fixed my car very efficiently and it runs better than it has in years. Fair prices from a local business. Will be coming here for all my car repairs from now on!

During my annual inspection, my former mechanic's assistant at Rick's stripped out a stud on my front tire without telling me, stripped the Subaru lock for the locking lug nuts-making it inoperable, again without telling me and for some inexplicable reason was unable to repair 2 small leaks in my tire. To be clear, in addition to being left on my own to solve the problem of the leaking tire, I was a left with a wheel with a lug nut on a stripped stud and another lug nut that was not even hand-tight as it was the Subaru locking lug nut-and the lock had been stripped. I left the mechanic without being informed of these issues: incredibly unbelievable and irresponsible behavior. Since the assistant had worked on my car without fully communicating to either his supervisor or to me there were unaddressed issues with the car, it felt like I was driving an unsafe car and this was anxiety-producing. While the owner apologized, he did not take full responsibility for the situation. He did not offer to find trustworthy mechanics to assist me and refused to compensate me for the day and a half that I had to take away from my own work within my own small business- to address the issues I suddenly now had with my car due to his overall incompetence and specifically, however it was that he had established his relationship with his assistant such that there was a complete lack of communication regarding possible safety issues with my car. It was Overbrook Tire who discovered the stripped out stud and the irreparable damage to the locking lug nut. They were also able to patch the leaks in the tire and made all of these repairs affordably. Then I had to locate, make an appointment and then wait while a trustworthy mechanic replaced the stud itself: that was B&R Starters.

Rick's Automotive is the only place I go. Jim and his crew go above and beyond to get your repairs complete as soon as possible. They are also honest about you need and what you don't need. I've been going to them for years and I'm so happy I found a place I can TRUST!

So, I seen all these great reviews for rick's auto shop, and it baffled me, considering the situation I was put through this past weekend. As I was referred to the shop by very good friends, that know the mechanic as more than just a friend , I trusted to get my car fixed for an affordable amount. Well, I go, take my car there Friday. Knowing all I needed was an EGR valve, ignition failure sensor, spark plugs and a tune up on my parking brake. (I own a Kia Optima 2004)They couldn't fix it Friday, so I had to leave my car there for the weekend. The mechanic that diagnosed my car and wanted to work on it was Brian. So Monday comes, and Brian calls me back. He has yet to work on my car. Which I am now thankful for because he truly thought they could get away with 1630 dollars for fixing those few things. I am not stupid. I know damn well, this car has the cheapest parts and costs barely 500 dollars to fix what I listed. He honestly thought he could get away with over 1000 dollars. That is not affordable in my eyes. It actually is disgusting thinking someone would try to get away with ripping someone off that much..
