I have enjoyed coming here for the last 2 years. As a single, young woman, I consider the possibility of being charged for unnecessary services every time I take my car in to be serviced somewhere new. I feel like I can relax when I go into Reithmeyer's. They rarely suggest services on top of what I've asked for and if they do, after some research, I've found it was a necessary suggestion that would save me from a huge problem in the future. I trust them like I would my own dad at this point. They make me feel taken care of.

I was referred to Riethmeyers by an Austin native that told me they were the best around and she was not kidding. They have exceeded my expectations so many times and they have saved me a lot of money. Most shops would have insisted that I make a repair that required an expensive part to keep my car running. The truth is, the car was used and the part would have cost more than the car was worth at the time. They explained my options to me and were honest about the fact that the car would run safely for a while longer without making the repair. I was able to drive that car a few more years before I traded up. (Which saved me some financial hardship) They are polite, timely, and have strong ethical business practices. They are family owned and operated and at this point Allen has become a great friend. They offer the kind of customer service and kindness that you find in small towns which is very comforting given that Austin is growing every day. That is why they have been in business for so long; they earn the trust of their customers. I moved to South Austin a year ago and I still make the drive up to Riethmeyers for any repairs and/or maintenance. I’m grateful I discovered them.

I wasn’t able to take my car there to get fixed but after I had to pull over on Mopac and get off the nearest exit. My car wasn’t able to get me to this location and it ended up stalling at the plaza next door. Allen walked over from the shop and looked at my car. Unfortunately, they are very busy and he let me know it was going to be a few days before they could look at it. I appreciate the extra effort displayed and honesty. I will be using them later down the road.

Riethmeyer’s and the whole team from techs to service advisors to the waiting area, it’s all a 5 star experience. I personally primarily work with Allen but David and Terry are very helpful as well. Their work speaks for itself. They have done so much work for my company over the last few years and I would recommend them to anyone for anything from a simple oil change to an inspection or something as complex as an engine swap. A great example of this was, I referred one of our maintenance clients to them for a brake job and they were able to source the parts needed (last set in the country) when no one else could find the parts, overnight them and then have the car back to the client in the shortest time possible. All around “old fashioned” class act of a repair shop. I will continue to do business with these guys for many years to come.

Went in for a road trip inspection- they gave me solid recommendations, which I followed and was able to drive my 1994 truck cross country with no issues. Highly recommend- great service and very respectful- also very accommodating and affordable- Thank you!

I will never go to another repair shop as long as Riethmeyer is in business. They are unparalleled, with no competitors matching their level of service. Every family member, friend, or associate I have referred to Riethmeyer has experienced the same professionalism, expertise, and exceptional customer service. They are the best repair shop around. They are honest, and if no work is needed, they let you know upfront without trying to upsell you. As a woman, this honesty is particularly reassuring when visiting a repair shop alone. I feel like I will get my money's worth and not feel cheated. I believe what they say, and I have never walked away feeling anything less than satisfied. This family-owned business is truly the best in town.

Only been once, but they were transparent and efficient with their work. I was originally quoted x amount for a battery swap when I brought my car in and the next day when they did their diagnostic I was quoted a higher price. I communicated this to them and they honored their original quote and I respected that. All the gentleman there are kind and helpful. I will definitely consider them in future maintenance or repairs I’ll need.

Highly recommend Riethmeyer’s Auto Repair!! I’ve been using them for years but took my car in today for a battery change and some other minor things. I’m actually getting ready to sell the vehicle and Allen even removed the bumper stickers/decals without any damage to the window or paint. Truly unmatched customer service. They shoot you straight, are efficient and wont charge for unnecessary services. My entire family uses them and we will be customers for life! Save yourself the hassle and headache of other auto shops and go to Riethmeyer’s!

Phenom shop, was recommended from a coworker who loves it and is long time customer. I went in for an unknown electrical repair, they were busy for the day but generously squeezed me in, had it fixed in 20 mins, and gave me a generous one time discount which was totally unexpected and super nice b/c I said I'd be back for a full maintenance service soon but it was so nice to see me right away, squeeze me, and the discount. An exception so don't expect that but the idea is they're super nice, knew exactly the problem and zeroed in on it, and fixed it in 20 mins which is incredible. It was a problem plaguing me for months and made life more difficult, so it made a difference to get fixed right away ahead of a full inspection/service. Big thimbs up thanks guys. This review is likely consistent with other positive reviews and not an outlier. I'm an Austin local.

I went for my brake replacement for my front wheels. It took 3-4 full days to get to my car for diagnosis. After that they gave higher than usual quote to replace them. Since I had lost my car for so many days. had to agree and get them fixed with them paying high charge. Work done was good been using since 10 months now. But time to diagnose and unusual high charge is not acceptable. Recommend to go instead with your car make’s service center atleast they’ll fix it same day for same charge
