Brandon from Rising Sun Auto repair recommended Twomey and I feel like I scored two gems! Both shops (one repair, the other body shop) are friendly, honest and is the first time I not only didn't feel worried about being taken advantage of regarding car "stuff" but walked away feeling good that there are still truly honest, fair and good people around us. Thank you Brandon for listening to my car problem and having the good energy behind the recommendation to go to Twomey's. And, thank you to the fella at Twomey's who helped me with the rear camera view sensor. You both are impressive!

I am pleased with the quick and efficient service that Rising Sun provides for my vehicle! And my questions regarding the details of service provided are always answered well for my understanding. The upfront service techs are always helpful and I thank the service techs for what appears to always be a job well done. We were surprised that the axle seal was compromised but grateful it was caught in time. Getting in and out of your service is a challenge but having you so close to home far outweighs that experience.

Brought my car here after going to the Toyota dealership for years and it was such a breath of fresh air in terms of the customer experience! The team was so knowledgeable, thoughtful, responsive, and quick. They were transparent about all the items they flagged including some photos! I am so impressed with their customer service and am switching from Toyota Dealership to them.

As always, Alexis scheduled me when they had an opening so they were able to start the repairs right away, I was only without my car for a short period of time. She explained all my repairs thoroughly and helped me understand any options that may have applied. She also accommodated me with after hours drop off and pick up which was very helpful. I won’t be going anywhere else for repairs!

Good work, but expensive. - Charging $370 for a starter for Acura TL, when the part is widely available for $200. - $150 diagnostic fee when the starter motor is literally sparking on start attempt... is questionable. Still charging diagnostic fee while charging high rates for labor for work accepted is questionable. - $500 in labor to replace a starter... is questionable. - $21 "processing fee" on the invoice, is just bad business practice.

Had the car towed to Rising Sun on Saturday and had it back Tuesday with the problem fixed plus a lot of stuff I'd been meaning to have done for a while. I've been a customer for years, and will be for many more!

Love the team at Rising Sun! They go above and beyond. Have been my goto for 4 years now! Had a major issue come up, they lead the charge in getting the extended warranty to cover. I almost hate to recommend Rising Sun, even though they deserve it, because I'm afraid they'll get to be too busy and too backed up. But what the heck, credit where credit is due -- these guys are heroes! I went to Rising Sun for the first time because I noticed a trail of fluid leading up to the space where I had parked my car overnight. My adult daughter had used them and recommended them highly. They did a careful inspection and determined that my car wasn't leaking at all. (Later, I realized that another car at my apartment complex had been leaking and had used that parking space before me.) I would have been happy to pay just to get the good news, but they refused to charge me anything! Based on this excellent experience, later, when my car started flashing multiple warning lights and refusing to start, I had it towed to Rising Sun. They promptly diagnosed the problem (mainly the alternator) and sent me a detailed estimate via text, which I approved. It was a big job, so they weren't able to finish until the next day. However, I was due to leave for a trip at 7:00 a.m., before the car would be done! I wouldn't be back for 11 days. Rising Sun said no problem, they'd keep the car for me, with no charge for storage. (They do have a sign saying storage is $20 a day, but they gave me a break.) Whew, what a relief! In short, Rising Sun goes above and beyond to help the customer. They've earned my loyalty and this five-star review.

I reached out to them describing issues with my car characteristic of a blown head gasket. I tried to get clarification over the phone, but they told me I needed to come in to have it diagnosed. I did, and sure enough it was confirmed that it was a blown head gasket. Their proposed estimate was 10K to fully replace the engine. I understand it is a smallish shop and they don't have space or time available to replace the head gasket. If that's the case, be upfront with your client and tell them you are unlikely to be able to address the issues, instead of making them pay to tow the car, pay the diagnostic fee, and then effectively turning them away. Probably fine for an oil change or a check up, but I would go somewhere else for more significant work. Edit: After reading my review Rising Sun reached out to me to apologize and offer a refund. The effort and integrity to reach out and make things right definitely left a good impression. It seems you can count on them to do right by you regardless of the circumstances.

My air conditioning was acting up. I was able to get an appointment quite quickly! Communication was excellent. Service was done within a day and I was back on the road. My usual Honda dealer and service provider could only promise me 4-5 days of my car sitting at the dealership waiting for diagnostics ! So happy to find “Rising Sun”.

Rising Sun never disappoints! They did such a great job on my Lexus, and now she’s driving smoother than ever. Highly recommend Rising Sun to anyone with a Japanese car. They offer quality work, and don’t try to sell you things you don’t need. They really care about the health of your vehicle. Thanks again, and see y’all in November for the next appointment! Edit: ignore the two star review about the blown head gasket. Don’t get mad when Rising Sun tells you that you need a new motor because you didn’t take care of your car like you’re supposed to. This shop is great, and I would advise everyone to use Rising Sun for more invasive work and simple stuff as well, like fluid changes. Regarding the fx35 guy that wants to sue, the primary issue there is that you bought an Infinity. That pretty much sums up that whole ordeal.

Was told a service they provided wouldn’t fix the issue after receiving the service. When I asked for a refund, I was told it was that it was an initial service to see if it would fix the issue. I wouldn’t have paid $250 for a service that wouldn’t have fixed the issue.

Just a super great experience from beginning to end. Communication was constant throughout the process. They got to my car quickly and identified the problem and let me know what they needed to do and how much it would cost before they started. I generally hate working with mechanics because I know nothing about cars and, because I’m a woman, I am frequently talked down to or treated like an idiot. Not Rising Sun. They spoke to me like I was a HUMAN with a problem they wanted to help fix. I’ve told everyone I know about how fantastic they are. I hope I don’t have to go back anytime soon, but I’m so glad they are there to help if I need it.
