This place is border line decent for simple mechanic work. (e.g.) oil changes, fuel filter, brakes, brake light replacement, spark plug and simple tune ups involving no opening of the engine. Anything else you better consider a few facts and proceed with caution. 1. Keep in mind this place is a back yard mechanic shop with back yard mechanics calling this shop Rock Bottom automotive repair. 2. This place is not legally recognized as a business with the Secretary of State nor with the Harris county clerks office. 3. They have no process agent to serve in the event they do substandard work and expect you to pay for their mistakes. 4. A guy with a wrench in his hand that goes by the name of Brandon assumes that individuals who take their automobile there know nothing of mechanics and will give you the most ridiculous reasons why he can't get your vehicle running right. Then make you pay for the experimentation that he conducts. 5. The shop at least in my case requires you to pay in full before the job is finished or they won't continue to work on it until you pay. I took my truck to get only some long tube headers put on. I was referred by "Uvalde Muffler". I first took my truck there in April 2016. It is now September and my truck is still there. I'm assuming because I'm finished paying for the incomplete job Brandon has yet to touch the vehicle since no more money is to be made. I patiently call every week. I get the same reply. " I have no time", "my wife hasn't been feeling well", "it's been raining" " tomorrow","today", then a flat out " I don't know when I'll have it ready I'll finish the job whenever I feel like it" etc. I've spent $800.00 already in labor and additional $500.00 for the headers. $1300.00 in all. Not to mention lost time, plus insurance premiums every month to keep a lapse of coverage off my record. Just approach with caution. It's better to pay a little more by a insured reputable professional mechanic shop that stands behind their word. If anyone gets anything from this. Let it be this.... Don't pay one red cent until the job is completed and it's ready for pick up. What kind of work can you expect from a place that is so undercapitalized that they cannot afford to purchase the parts on their own and then bill the customer at time of pick up?
