I scheduled an oil change and tire rotation on their website. They were ready for me when I arrived and did the work within an hour or so as I waited. I asked about my brakes and was told I had more time before they needed any work so I appreciated their honesty. I will be back.

This was a great shop before the new management and take over Joe the gm cussed me out cause his mechanics ordered the wrong parts and the time before that I had to take my car in twice to fix the same bearing

My car was low on trans fluid after radiator replacement and first I took it to Transmission Corporation of America on Clinton hwy, charged me $97.02 and did NOT fix anything. RT Clapp added 1 quart of trans fluid and now the car drives like it’s supposed to and it costed $44.67. Fantastic job RT Clapp 👍👍

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. THEY ARE LAZY AMATEURS WHO WILL LOOK FOR SHORTCUTS THAT WONT FIX YOUR PROBLEMS. COSTING YOU LOTS OF MONEY. I brought my car here because I had a check engine light. There was a misfire on one of the cylinders. The shop proceeds to tell me I need new spark plugs and an ignition coil. No problem. I pay them and they do the work. Check engine light gone. Except it wasn't gone because it came back on in 3 weeks. Turns out my engine was misfiring because there was coolant leaking into the cylinder. I didn't need new spark plugs or a new ignition coil; I needed a new engine. This is a common issue for the engine that's in my car. A quick Google search will turn up plenty of results yet these "professionals" couldn't figure it out. I replace the engine and call RT clapp about a refund since they sold me things my car did not need. Things that would NEVER fix the issue. If you had a leaking toilet would you buy a new toilet seat? Of course not. They gave me the run around about a refund for weeks over the phone. I finally decided to go into the shop in person. The guy behind the counter couldn't care less and told me there was no way he could refund the nearly $700 it cost me for the unneeded work they did. His response was essentially "too bad". This is NOT how you do good business. So if you're reading this, let my mistake be a blessing for someone else: DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO THIS AMATEUR SERVICE CENTER. Go elsewhere where the REAL professionals will do their due diligence when diagnosing your car. Not taking expensive (for you) short cuts that won't fix your problem. It's amateur hour at RT Clapp apparently. Shameful.

I have been taking my car to RT Clapp for over 7 years. They recently changed ownership and I was nervous, but service has continued to be excellent. David and Joe are accommodating and helpful, and the techs are always hard at work. I took my teen grandson's very old car there for a few issues, and they got that we didn't want to put a lot of money into it, just wanted to check its safety. We were really pleased with the same attention we always get, and fair pricing on everything. I don't hesitate to recommend them.

Probably one of the absolute best automotive shops I’ve been to! These guys save me a ton of money by being straight shooters about a simple fix that I thought was gonna be probably about a grand! Will definitely be going back!

I have taken my truck to Clapp a number of times and each time the problem was fixed and I had no recurring problems with the issue I brought it in for. They are professional and explain things very well.

An answer to prayer!! I took my vehicle to RT Clapp after it had lost power going down the interstate, and sounded as if it was falling apart. It also was experiencing issues with AC. Of course I had great concerns about what was causing the issues. But David and the mechanics did an amazing job of diagnosing and fixing the problem. My vehicle went in making a lot of noise and losing power. When they finished, it came out purring, giving out cool air and ready for the road! Thank you RT Clapp for your professionalism and kindness. May the LORD bless you greatly!

SO MANY issues with the "work" they did. I will be calling lawyer tomorrow Monday June 3 2024. $900 and they caused more damage and issues then before they got the car

My mother, 83, took her car to Firestone 10 years ago. I'm absolutely certain they took advantage of her age and gender. I took it to RT Clapp, for the exact same repair, which obviously, wasnt performed at Firestone, they, RT CLAPP, did more than invoiced at Firestone. Did coolant hoses, and several other things, a WHOLE lot more.. and 10 years of difference..$2086 at Firestone, RT Clapp, under $1400 and it's an easy look.. the gaskets they, (Firestone) didnt replace ,RT replaced, by necessity, due to failure issues Firestone didn't do, RT also completed the work, $100 under estimate. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Updated.. since Google hates me, and wont let me give a review on a subsequent trip...William, and the RT Clapp repair center didn't disappoint, again. Code scanned, showed IAC valve, but he didn't believe it. That's what good mechanics do. Fixed, under a day, fuel system clean out. Couldn't be happier with service. People need honest, reputable mechanics. You can find them here.
