Took my car here after a hit and run accident. Nobody communicated anything with me, I had to be the one calling for updates. When I picked up my car I was told they were waiting on a part to be delivered and I would be contacted once it arrived. I paid my balance and trusted I would receive the part. It’s been more than a year and I haven’t received my part. I have asked for it numerous times and nothing. The least they could have done was return my money or communicated the problem with me.

I had a minor but urgent issue with my car and went to Ruben's. They were AMAZING! The owner was kind and generous, and the staff were really efficient and fixed my issue perfectly. They're an excellent small business and I highly recommend going here!

Took my car in to be serviced on a Monday they explained what was wrong with the car and said they would need to contact my Carshield insurance to see what they would pay and what I had to pay out of pocket. The entire week I was told to call back tomorrow we have to get the paperwork together for Carshield. I understand that but how will Carshield know what they need to pay for if you never call them? I thought this was a good shop because my grandmother used to go here when I was younger but I guess not. You shouldn't give people the run-arounds if u don't want to do the work! I am feeling really upset because I need my car fixed. If I could give no stars I would.

I've been looking for a good mechanic in my neighborhood finally found went to Ruben yesterday will a dead battery turn out to be that I needed an alternator which they replaced yesterday and my car is running great again. I now have a new mechanic 5 minutes from very good people working there and and the price was rite.

My parents car flooded and wouldn’t start. I called Ruben and he was able to send a tow truck out the next morning. He did a diagnostic but also advised us to check with the dealership or another mechanic first. The dealership estimated $17k and the other mechanic said it was not fixable. I brought it back to Ruben and he was able to fix it in under a week for $2700. Ruben is very kind and honest and I highly recommend him!

El peor mecánico de Chicago ...increíble mal servicio ,no es puntual , te cobra y el problema sigue y se inventa q es otra. Mecánico corrupto. Noooooo se lo recomiendo , No pierda el Tiempo como Yoooo y mucho menos el dinero muy costoso para un pésimo servicio. Por mi 000000 estrella.

I came here to get my tire fixed and they never put back back the rim. How does someone forget to put it back??? They also stole all the quarters in the car that were in a pile of change but left all the pennies. Who steals quarters after I just paid them over $100??? THEY ARE THIEVES!!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!

Ruben and his team have worked on my car about 4-5 times and every time has been an exceptional experience. I’ve worked with two other mechanics in the area before finding Ruben’s shop and none really compare to the experience I’ve had here. You can tell Ruben and his staff are very knowledgeable about vehicles and will get you in and out in a reasonable amount of time. He doesn’t operate outside of his expertise and will be straight up with you if he can’t help. In the past, I’ve taken my vehicle to the dealership to get their expert opinion and diagnose any issues related to my vehicle, then take it to a mechanic for them to do the work. I have found Ruben and his staff have just as much or even more knowledge/experience as any dealership and they go above and beyond the traditional service. You can tell Ruben really cares about his customers and getting them back on the road. Ruben is my go to mechanic for any issues with my car and I would highly recommend him and his team. It’s hard to find any negative feedback about Ruben’s auto shop, but if I truly had to pick, it’s his prices can be a little higher than other mechanics in the area. However, Ruben’s prices are 3-4 times less than what a dealership will charge you. I once had a dealership quote me $2,500 for some work while Ruben was able to get it done for $600. I’ve found that the wonderful service and the ability to get the vehicle in and out in a timely manner makes it truly worth it. After seeing the work Ruben and has staff have performed on my car, I don’t mind the higher price for the premium service. tl;dr: 5/5 Would recommend.

Took my truck here because it was starting to fail me hard within a few days he had fixed it perfectly told me he wanted to keep it a bit longer to make sure it was working perfect he then called me and sure enough took some time but I assumed good work takes time definitely recommend bringing your truck/car here you be satisfied with there work 👍👍👍
