I am warning everyone to not use this company..... they wanted to charge me $2,400 to change a thermostat I kept telling them that was the problem but they wanted to replace all the radiator hoses and kept trying to tell me the hoses were leaking....... I took it to a shop the next day and they fixed my thermostat for $175.00.. this company will try to scam you and charge you for unneeded services.. I am warning the public to stay away

Service was amazing! Josh and RJ found the issue with my vehicle and helped me get a brand new engine for FREE from the dealer that I originally bought the vehicle from! Would definitely recommend them if you are looking for great service and honest work!

I took my 2010 Subaru Outback in for warranty service on a prior oil leak. The technician replaced the faulty gasket, a pair of ignition coils and all four spark plugs. Thankfully I wasn't charged any labor and they installed more parts than I deserved on this repair. Acceleration is now smooth and even, fuel economy improved a bit and I no longer get a check engine light. I'm now getting 28mph highway mileage, which is quite good for my 15 year old car which has almost 240,000 miles. Car repairs are never fun, but I trust these guys to be fair and do it right.

The service was great they provided detail information on the things that I needed to address with my vehicle and took pictures so that I can see what they found on the inspection which was very helpful because words I have no idea what they're talking about but with the description and the pictures gave me full understanding of what the problem was and I've never experienced that at a car shop before they will definitely be getting all my business

Top notch service and full transparency. They identified and repaired a potentially serious problem caused by another shop and did not overcharge. They even filled my tank with gas so they could test drive it after the repair because I left it on E. This is my new go to. Loyalty is Royalty.

Sacramento Specialty Automotive always does great work on our Subaru, and our recent repair continued this track record. They have always been able to schedule appointments sooner than I’m even available, and they get the car back to me the same day, unless they can’t get the part(s) immediately. And even then, they’re willing to do their best to make the car drivable, and get the rest done when they get the parts. I highly recommend them!

BE CAUTIOUS and double-check diagnoses before approving major repairs here. I visited this shop in September 2024 for a whining noise coming from the rear of my car. The shop diagnosed a bad rear differential and strongly recommended replacing it. Trusting their advice, I approved the repair and paid for the replacement. After the replacement, the noise was still there. When I brought the car back, they discovered the actual issue—a bad rear wheel bearing, which I also had to pay for them to replace. The noise was finally resolved after that. I later had the replaced differential inspected by a specialist, who confirmed it was in perfect condition and didn’t need to be replaced. Despite reaching out to resolve this issue multiple times, they have refused to offer any refund or resolution.

Having searched on-line for an automotive specialist in electrical wiring for headlights, I decided to inquire with Sacramento Specialty Automotive. A complete diagnostic test was performed and their were no issues concerning headlights other than bulb replacements. Another vendor apparently misled me and was not able to diagnose the problem. I was very pleased with the honesty of the staff and their professionalism. The rates for a complete diagnosis was extremely reasonable and should any future problems arise for my 2012 Hyundai Elantra, I shall leave the task with SSA. Give them a call and you will be amazed too. Thanks for a job well performed.

I am so pleased with this company. The staff seemed genuinely concerned about my situation and worked towards making me happy with making the decision to use their services. The repair cost was very comparable and m car drives beautifully. As an added bonus they posted a coupon on their website which saved me even more money. Spent alot of money here for a vehicle to get cleaned up. Basics...their is a fluid leak on my driveway. Took it back and they said due to the heat in temp the engine oil leaked into vehicle frame rails prior to the work performed. Well here we are with the same leaks on my driveway. I would suggest a company that takes care of their customers. Not even a phone call back after the service provider said she would have to talk to upper management.
