Dangerous place, staff will be nice to you and you will feel like "family", but this "family" will not fix your car and will try to take all your money. Where do I start... 1. They charged me around $150 for brake fluid flush. Look at the picture I've attached, this is a "new" fluid after the flush in my car, I've decided to check it myself because I didn't trust them after our second meeting(will explain). For those who don't understand, the new fluid's color should be clear, almost like a water, so all they did is just replaced the fluid in the reservoir under the hood(costs them about $5), because most customers don't understand anything about cars, and would check only that reservoir, but the real and old fluid is actually in hoses next to your wheels, and it's still dangerous to use it! They've basically left my mother's car in a dangerous condition because this is brakes! So I had to flush everything by myself after them, and I have two full bottles of dirty and old fluid, I just didn't take picture of it, was very angry at the moment. 2. They filled my AC with refrigerant(tested it before and said everything is alright), and in a week when I came to check for a leak, they started to tell me that the car is very old, everything is stock, and we have to replace everything that is related to the AC, which would cost me $2000. They repeated several times they are surprised the AC is still working after a week because there is a HUGE LEAK EVERYWHERE. Well. It's been 2 months already, the AC is still very cold and working fine(according to them, the AC wouldn't work even for a week). Just remember people, those who want to just replace everything, are not mechanics, it's a complete scam. Mechanic is a person who identify the issue and fix it, they couldn't even tell where the leak is(most probably it's somewhere in a hose, which very easy and cheap to fix.. if there is any leak at all..) 3. They wanted to change transmission fluid for $600, explaining that it's impossible to open the fluid pan under the car without removing a frame that is on its way. Well, long story short, I replaced the fluid by myself with the help of only two jacks and flexible socket extension(that they should have) that allowed me to open the pen without even touching the frame. So another scam attempt for $600.. 4. They used 5w-30 oil for the engine, while the engine requires 5w-20 and the sticker on the engine says about that. It's not a big issue, some people prefer to use higher viscosity rating of oil in older or/and hard working cars, but at least they should ask the customer in case they don't follow the car manufacturer recommendation, because I would use recommended 5w-20 as the car requires. What is bad about the place, is not even their attempt to be friendly and nice while trying to take as much money from the customer as they can, but the fact that they didn't even do their job properly for the money they took, and left a car in very dangerous condition(I'm talking about brake fluid). Would never come back, and I feel bad that such places have such good rating so people trust them.

Great customer service. My family have been going to Salah since I was a kid. It’s a place where he makes you feel like family. Salah is a honest man. He will give you honest about you car. You never have a long wait but if you do he will let you know. I will continue taking my car there.

If you have a malfunction in your cars, I advise you to go to this workshop. They work sincerely, as well as mastering the work and repairing it quickly. I came from Dallas on a trip to Houston, but I had a holiday with my car in a disc brake. I went to Salah's workshop and found them perfect. Salah was very friendly with me. I really thank them for their honesty in work and their good treatment of me☺️

I found Selah on Yelp about 6 years ago. I will never go to another mechanic. I moved to Dallas for 2 years and still drove my car down so Selah can fix it. May God give him health and longevity because no one else can touch my cars!

A colleague of mine recommended Salah's Automotive for an expensive timing belt change versus taking my car to the dealer about a year ago.  Salah ended up saving me around $500 for the maintenance, and I was extremely grateful for that.  This weekend, we decided to take my wife's car to Salah to have him evaluate our drive axle which the dealer told us needed to be replaced (2nd opinion). We arrived mid-morning Saturday (Salah closes at Noon), and not only did Salah assess the situation with the car, but he confirmed the axle indeed needed to be replaced, got the part immediately, and went out of his way to get it fixed the same day for us with a savings of over $200.00. In addition, the quote we got from Salah for another major work item for the same car was over $800 less than the dealer had quoted us.  Outstanding service AND great prices -- Salah has two new customers for life!

Had an emergency maintenance alert on my 2012 Honda Civic at 7:15am on my way to work. Found Salah's great reviews on Google and steered my way there. He let me wait inside until the crew arrived shortly before 8 and they had my problem(s) diagnosed and repaired at an appropriate cost by 10:30. I made it to work shortly thereafter, with very little time lost. Great place. I'll be back.

I contacted the shop yesterday to find out if they could do a pre-purchase inspection. Elizabeth was really nice and allowed us to come in with the vehicle. We brought the car in about 15 minutes after the call and they had the car on the lift almost immediately. Salah really looked out for us because the car was indeed a lemon. We saved $7000 (cost of the car) by spending $50 for the inspection; so well worth it! The cherry on top was Salah offering to inspect another car for us, free of charge. We took him up on his offer today and brought in another car. This car needed some repairs but we agreed to purchase it after some deliberation. Well, the sheisty dealer sold the car from beneath us, which in hindsight was a blessing in disguise. We took a third car to Salah to inspect (expecting to pay the inspection fee for this one) and he checked it out for free! Salah and his team are truly angels! If you got this far in the review, you understand why it was so important for me to include all these details. Salah went above and beyond to help us out and more importantly, with a smile. We are thankful to him and his team and will recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much Salah; we appreciate you!

Our car needed a new thermostat while my family and I were on a road trip to Houston. Salah’s was one of the only shops / mechanics that would pick up the phone on a Saturday morning. They let us bring in our car an hour before closing. It was ready just an hour after they opened on Monday. In short - they are flexible, they work fast, and I haven’t had any issues. I’d come here more often if I lived in the area. PS - Elizabeth was AWESOME PSS - if you also need a rental car, there are several on Westheimer
