I actually tried this place after I read the reviews. Needless to say, this place had great reviews for a reason. Sam tells the truth as if it were his own vehicle, long term and short term fixes. They understand gaining trust (and the long term dollar) through truth and not taking their customers to the cleaners for a quick buck. I tried one other place closer to me (by force because of a broken tie rod) and I regret not getting it towed to Sam because the other guys ripped me off and installed a few parts that was not needed and I did not agree upon. I definitely recommend this place. Quick, Honest service. Also, I left my ID and they were kind enough to give me a couple calls to let me know. Good people.

I called around for a good price for brakes to be done on my car. In my area it was too expensive. When I call Sam's Detroit Auto Repair I got a good price. The service is excellent.

I'm having trouble getting $2,800 credit for an engine repair that could not be done. Glad I used a card! Money not returned. If I had used cash, Im sure I would never get reimbursed. My bank is helping get money recovered. Will not do business here again. I have a receipt for the 2800 refund but money was never deposited..... remember I was helping a friend...it was not my SUV. We definitely appreciated you not putting in a new engine in an old rusty car. My credit card company is investigating my account. There was no money refunded into my account.. I will never get involved in helping someone again when it involves this much money. Sorry for all the trouble Detroit Auto Repair went through with this car!.

Sam and his staff were incredible in fixing my car! They were kind, fair, and honest with their pricing not to mention timely. Dawn was also incredible while we were there from ordering parts to explaining what would be happening in the shop. If anything is wrong with my car in the future, I will definitely be returning and will be referring all of my friends.
