Had a rear wheel bearing go out on my Subaru outback. Anmar and his team replaced it at a fair price. Great experience especially if you live in the South Lamar area. Support a local business and avoid dealership prices. If you plan to wait, there is a Starbucks across the street where you can kill some time.

8 months ago i came in bc my car was having trouble starting. They sent me away saying nothing was wrong with my car. Then, it kept happening and my car would eventually not turn on at all. I got my battery replaced. Shortly after, my car was having the same issues of not turning on. Went back and it turns out it was my other battery and they didn’t know I had 2 batteries. Although, you can see the 2 right next to each other. Now, I have run into the same issue. They ended up not tightening the bolts to my batteries enough. These were easy and preventable additional fixes and costs.

After a major service on my old car, which included replacing the steering rack, muffler, and exhaust straps, a yellow ‘service engine soon’ light appeared. Unable to get a prompt follow-up appointment at the specialized shop, I turned to Sam’s Auto Care, my trusted oil service provider, for assistance without a prior booking. At Sam’s, Anmar reconfirmed the engine oil got filled correctly by another shop, and conducted an extensive system scan. He found no engine issues, though he noted a few missing transmission-related items. He suggested a visit to ‘A Plus Transmission’ nearby for a thorough check. Where they confirmed my transmission was in good shape and suspected the service engine light was a remnant from the previous maintenance, which they reset for me. As always, Sam’s Auto Care delivered swift and meticulous service. Remarkably, Anmar offered all these services on a complimentary basis this time. When your car needs any routine maintenance next time, Sam’s Auto care is absolutely place to go.

Anmar took care of my check engine light on my new to me 2013 Lexus LX570. Initially replaced my O2 sensor but the cel came back on. I dropped off the car again and they got it look at right away and was able to diagnose the issue. Great shop for all your automotive needs!

I had a lot of experience with so many trucking companies. As a driver or as OP .I never been happier. To me it's not about the money or the equipment or all the other materials. What matters to me the most is the treatment with honor and respect I deserve. As a driver and a human being And to be totally honest. Recently came here for an emergency radiator replacement for my 2005 Camry. The staff was kind, understanding, and fast. They were able to work on my car that day and finish by the end. The prices are fair (even considering the location). Happy to support a local mechanic and happy with my service.

Great place with great service- they fixed my car up perfectly after a crash and even washed it after. Very responsive, easy to deal with, and got my car fixed in just a little over a week with short notice. Amar was especially friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back.

I love Anmar. I've never had a better mechanic. He's straightforward about what I need and what solutions will be. He's affordable and doesn't try and up-charge out the wazoo. He's transparent about additional issues he discovers (if any) and if they need an immediate fix or if they can wait, along with fixing everything I brought the car in for. Further he's super personable and remembers me and my life every time, I love getting to catch up with him. Highly recommend bringing your business here!

I’ve had several issues over the past year and he always made sure I understood what was wrong and what needed to be done with a fair estimate. It’s hard to find an honest mechanic these days but these guys are SO honest, so competent, so kind. I can’t speak highly enough of them. I took my truck to other places who quoted me thousands of dollars, only to be told by Sam’s that the issues were minor and just needed fluid replacement and some other smaller repairs. Thanks guys!!

New to Austin and my check engine light came on Sunday night. I started Monday morning at Auto Tek- they told me they were booked out two weeks even for a diagnostic. They referred me to their "overflow" shop Lopez Auto Repair but I opted against. Next I went to Dave's Ultimate Automotive- they told me I could drop my car off Wednesday afternoon and should expect $160 for diagnostic. Finally, I called Sam's. I was told I could drop the car off later Monday morning and they'd have a diagnosis by mid day. Sure enough at about 2:00, I got a call that I needed new spark plugs/ignition coils. The car was ready to be picked up by 5:30 before they closed- amazing!! The repair for my 2017 Ford Edge came out to $760. When I called Dave's and asked for a quote for the same repair, they came back with $842 PLUS the $160 diagnostic. Well done, Sam's. I now have my new auto shop established! ***UPDATE 2 WEEKS LATER*** As it turns out, my vehicle unfortunately had deeper issues than Anmar had originally anticipated. 2 days after the first repair, the engine light came back on. Hoping for the best, Anmar (at no cost) replaced the spark plugs saying they could be defective. Unfortunately the check engine light then came back a week later meaning the plugs were fine and there was a deeper issue. Knowing about notorious issues with Ford EcoBoost engines (side note- NEVER BUY A FORD), Anmar even printed the bulletin from the Ford website for us. We took the car to the Ford dealership and they confirmed the car needed a completely new engine- estimated repairs of $9K. We let Anmar know of this diagnosis (which came at a $120 fee) and he told us if we brought the vehicle back to him he would replace with the original spark plugs which he had saved, and give us a FULL REFUND. Sure enough, an hour later the car was ready with a check for $760. Moral of the story, I will never take my car anywhere but Sam’s as long as I live in Austin, and you should do the same. Incredibly honest and reliable business, hard to come by these days. THANK YOU ANMAR!
