I'm going to start this review off by saying that I brought all of these concerns up with the manager and tried to resolve it person to person. However, the manager did nothing but try and defend his mechanic. I brought my 2014 Ram 1500 in to the shop Friday, Jan 24, 2025, because I was having issues with several codes that I could not figure out. All of my issues where inside the engine compartment. When I dropped it off at 7:30am, I was told it would take about an hour or so to diagnose and that I would receive a call from them By 12:45PM, I had not received a call, So I reached out to the shop myself. I was told that the mechanic was done but they needed time to put prices together for the issues found and that they would call me back. At 2PM, I received a call with my quote. They service manager started listing off the issues found and the price quote to fix each issue. One of the issues was lose wiring on my Intake Runner Control Valve. They also started to list off items that I never asked them to checked. The service manager proceeded to tell me that both of my Inner tie rod ends needed to be replaced. Here is the issue with that. My tie rod ends had just recently been replaced and are new. There is also zero reason they should have even lifted the truck up to check the tire rod ends. They informed me that their fix for one of my codes (Cam Shaft Position Sensor) was to replace both my Cam Shaft and Crank Shaft sensors with OEM sensors from Dodge. Again this issue with this, is both sensors were brand new as well. I informed the service manager that I didn't have the money to fix the issues right now, so I would come pay them for the diagnostics and just get my truck. Which I did. When I arrived the mechanic still had my truck in his mechanic bay and I had to wait for him to pull the truck out. As I drove my truck home, I started having serious issues with my truck. It began to run very poorly and started going into limp mode almost immediately as I pulled out of the lot. When I got back home I started to tear into my truck to try and identify the issues they had quoted me. The very first thing I cam to was that they connector to my MAP sensor had been zip tied to my MAP sensor (See Photos). There was zero mentioned that this plug had an issue and it was not zip tied when I took it to the shop. I then removed my intake manifold to look at the lose wiring for the Intake Runner Control Valve. What I saw next was very disturbing. Their wasn't A lose wire, all four wires from the connector had been removed from he wiring harness and was just shoved back behind the wiring harness (See Photos). Needless to say, I fixed the wiring the service shop chose to disconnect and moved on with the rest of my issues. And I want to add, that the fix the shop recommended to fix my Cam Shaft Position Sensor, you know replace the sensors with OEM parts, also was not correct. The issue ended up being a simple oil change. A very known issues with HEMI engines. Like I started this review out, I tried to resolve this issue with the shop manager, but he was unwilling to listen and only wanted to defend his employee. BTW had I went ahead and had the shop fix all of the issues they said they found it would have cost me over $1200. All of these issue were fixed in the garage of my house for the cost of an oil change ($50) and a few wire connectors ($6). I know this shop has been around in the northland for decades, and before this incident, I would have recommended them to anyone who asked. But after this incident I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. And I for one will never take any of my vehicles back to them.

Sams is a great place to take your vehicle! They are honest guys and convenient for me! They never push you for unnecessary work. They do inform you of potential problems that may occur later down the road.*****

Amazing service! We discovered we had a bolt in our tire on the way there to pick up our friend from dropping her car off there and they fixed our tire within ten minutes! We will always be a return customer.

Love Sam’s, hard to find honest people anymore but they are the best. Had a problem with my air conditioner took it in at 8am also needed my oil changed they called me right after noon and said I was ready to go. The air works wonderful. Great bunch of friendly caring guys.

I recently got my oil changed. They charged even less than I was quoted. Jiffy Lube charges 98 for the same oil change and I paid like 52. I had also asked about my under carriage and all it needed was to be pinned back up and they did that for me. So nice! He also helped to gather a list of things to maintain my vehicle at certain miles. They are honest and helpful. I've had work done also on my car. I highly recommend this place! Thank you guys!!

I was able to get a same day appointment, and my issue was diagnosed and repaired within a day. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. Quality work and extremely fair pricing. Highly recommended.

For the most part I get great service and customer facing staff is friendly. However my most recent visit did not go so well mostly because of rudeness. I asked for the parts that were taken off my vehicle to be put in my vehicle (keeping them). This did not happen, ok... I called back to the shop and they had one of the parts still in the shop (the one I was mainly interested in)...I asked to set it aside and I will come get it. A few days passed after some things got in the way of me getting over there, I called back over to Sam's before driving over there to get the part and the guy said he had already sent it to scrap. This guy works the office and in my opinion was "pretty rude" about it - he mentioned he can't keep stuff forever. Since you hung up on me, you missed me saying "I get it but you wouldn't be having to hold the part if you had put the parts in the car in the first place". I am putting this out there because of the way the gentleman responded towards his customer. Others might be interested in this, I know I would. You may have plenty of customers/business but there may come a day you will wish you had not lost one. A lot of businesses close these days. You should remember you aren't the only service center around. I will remember your customer service skills when I choose a shop to spend my dollars if you catch my drift.

Would rate higher than 5 stars if possible. Consummate professionals. Called a few places for a quote and they were about half the price of the other two. Took the car in for a transmission fluid change and the charged me 50 less than originally quoted. Didn't try to sell me unnecessary services. Will use them as long as I live in the northland for all my automotive needs

I had to drop off my car overnight so they could work on it in the morning and they blew me away. I wasn't able to make it into the shop in the morning, so I had to call; they did an excellent job of explaining everything to me. When I finally made it in towards the end of the day, they took me into the shop and showed me what was wrong with my car and what would need fixed. Wonderful customer service and pricing. Will definitely be going here again!

I needed a new shop and a second opinion on a list of issues plaguing my vehicle. The previous shop I used had misdiagnosed my SUV off and on for the past eight years. Likely an honest mistake, but I needed to move on. Brad was great to work with, and I enjoyed his honesty and the time he took to talk through the issues. He told me what needed to be repaired sooner than later and what could wait. As others have said here, I highly recommend Sam's Service Center.

This was the second shop I went to and they did it right!! They felt as if they really did care about me as a customer and really worked with me. I appreciate their services and can't recommend them enough. They were cheaper than other places too!!
